I just recently moved from Foster City after using Lisa for 5+ years to take care of my cat. Wish she'd move up here. I think Baz loves her as much as us. He only comes to the door for a couple people, Lisa being one of them. He loves to play with her and she always brings him a new toy (maybe its a bribe!). She cleans the box, freshens the food and water and, spends time with him to play and cuddle. I couldnt ask for a better pet sitter. I always come home to a wiped down kitchen, dishes out of the sink and floor swept - certainly not part of her job but she always does it. read more

As it sates, she rendered the services in 2011, so her current physical health and automobile is irrelevant. I only recently joined yelp, and me being a new user in no ways says anything about my integrity. I have the billing receipts, her dog journal, and a dozen emails to prove that she worked for me in 2011. My sole purpose in writing this review is to inform others of my experience and let them make up their own minds. *** I hired Lisa, the owner/walker of Pawsitive Energy, in 2011 to walk my rescue dog, but I discontinued her services after three weeks when I witnessed and she informed me of some very disturbing and unprofessional situations. Before I go further, while I agree with other reviews that Lisa is a very kind-spirited person, I disagree entirely that she has any business caring for other people's animals in their absence. Lisa was hired to walk my dog once a day Monday through Friday. Her prices were reasonable, her reviews on Yelp and elsewhere were good, and she interacted well with me and my dog during the consultation visit. Specific to my dog's breed, I asked that he be kept on leash at all times and that she use a car harness belt that I provided when she transported him in her black SUV (I think a Suburban at the time). My dog was having issues with recall if he detected the scent of an animal track, which is why I requested that he be leashed or buckled in at all times. She assured me that she would follow those directions. For the first three weeks, everything seemed to go fine. However, I returned home early one day to witness Lisa take out my dog from her SUV and allow him to follow her off-leash up to my house, crossing a busy residential street in the process. I was shocked to see this because my dog could have been easily hit by a car or could have run off after an animal. I decided to schedule a meeting with her for later that week to discuss what I had seen, but something worse occurred the next day before the meeting. Lisa came home with my dog the next day, and with a carefree attitude informed me that something funny happened that day. She told me that she had put my dog in her SUV and was then stopped on the sidewalk by a woman asking for information about her dog-walking services. During this time, the SUV windows were rolled down, and Lisa told me that my dog jumped out of the window and into the street. She said that he looked fine. That was the extent of her care. The dog's breed is prone to spinal injuries, so I was extremely upset that she had not called me or taken him to a vet with such a high fall for his size. I found another walking company the next day and informed Lisa that I no longer needed her services. I do not recommend her as a dog walker. read more

Auntie L has been caring for me since I was tiny. She taught my mom a thing or two about puppies like me (mom was kinda new-puppy dumb, but don't tell her I said that..) and she spends a lot of time with me time with me every day now. She's even had me to her house for over-nighters (mom said something about needing time away for herself.. Whatever.) All I know is, I really, really like her. I even let her groom me, which surpirsed the heck out of my mom. This review is long overdue. Lisa has been walking Sing Sing, our big monkey (I don't know why, but I call my dogs monkeys.), more specifically, our 120+ pound German Shepherd for a little more than half a year. She's fabulous and we are so lucky to have found her! Lisa walks Sing Sing twice a week, which along with portioning his meals, has helped to slim down his previously rotund physique. Lisa has a little journal that she writes in to let us know how Sing Sing's walks went (including the numbers or poops and pees)! We've also had Lisa do an overnight, and some late night visits when we don't get home until the early morning hours. We've always come home to happy dogs. Our monkeys love her! Even though she doesn't have to, Lisa also does little things in addition to her excellent doggie-related services. For example, she sometimes helps with the dishes, fills our birdie's water, and walks my small monkey, Tofu. I would recommend Lisa in a heartbeat for anyone looking for a reliable dog walker, pet sitter, etc. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone better! read more

Lisa went so above and beyond my expectations. We hired her to care for our 19 year old cat for the weekend. On Saturday my cat got terribly sick from both ends all over our bed/bedroom. She's obviously older and has kidney disease. Lisa put me at ease and was completely willing to drive my babycat to urgent care and clean up all of the mess for no extra charge! I texted her asking how much more we owed and she said it was part of her job description! There were fresh roses in a vase awaiting my return! She CLEANED. Look no further. read more

Lisa is a life-saver! I got an Australian Shepherd back in February and lived in an apartment and worked full time, so I knew I would need a dog walker/ trainer for my pup. Lisa walked our springer spaniel when he was a puppy. She was absolutely patient, gentle, and great trainer for him. She left detailed notes after each visit, and bowl full of water. I could tell our dog was excited to see her every time she visited! Lisa is mature, professional, and has a really good understanding of dogs. I really appreciated all she did. Getting a new puppy is a LOT of work. As working puppy parents, we needed someone to come by during lunch to give our puppy a potty break and some much needed exercise. Lisa has been so amazing! She's a total professional and goes above and beyond what we expect of her. Her rates are very reasonable! During our consultation, Lisa came prepared with all of her paperwork and talked to us about our routine and where we put all of our puppy's things. She was very thorough and organized. Our puppy, Ramen, was in love with her from the first day. She gave us lots of advice, which is incredibly helpful for new puppy parents. Lisa has been answering all of our emails, 7 days a week. She's very accommodating of our schedule and concerns. She does a lot of little things for us that we didn't expect - like washing Ramen's bowls and Kong ball (silly puppy rolled his Kong ball all over his pee pad), and picking up a fan for our puppy because our AC is broken. I love that she writes in a journal for him everyday. First thing we do when we get home is read what he did during his walk. This past week, he has been better at coming to us when we call his name and I think it's because I talked to Lisa about our training concerns. He seems to be learning a lot from her and we can see the results when we walk him. I could go on and on about Lisa, but she has been so great. She's a wonderful part of Ramen's life and she just makes life with a puppy so much easier!! read more

Lisa is excellent. Her professional knowledge and skills are outstanding. She walks my dog Teddy since 2012 when Teddy was 10 years old. During last three years, Lisa not only keeps my dog up for a good exercise, but also takes great care for my dog. In 2012, Teddy had femoral head osteotomy surgery due to hip join dislocation. Lisa incorporated physical rehabilitation tasks to Teddy's exercise. Teddy is fully recovered. Many thanks to Lisa. Lisa is very responsible and communicates very well. She leaves daily note. When I was on vacation, she sent email for Teddy's updates and photos. I highly recommend Lisa and her service to anyone looking for an overall excellent dog walker. read more

When Lisa first started taking care of my 3 cats she seemed attentive and thorough. But over time her service deteriorated a lot. When I tried twice to get her to come for a quick visit she refused. The last time I was away I noticed that my cats' fountain was not working when I got home and one other bowl was out of water. Also, the cats had been over fed to the point of vomiting. I was distressed about those and attempted for a third time to have Lisa discuss them in person. She refused again....very bad customer service. It's not my problem that she can't keep employees and claims to have no time for me. Lisa's focus is mainly on dogs so if you're a cat parent don't bother. Since Lisa wouldn't discuss my concerns in person I emailed her in detail. She replied in detail, disputing everything I said. Why would I lie? I had no intention of asking for a refund. Lisa was so argumentative that I fired her two days before my vacation and had a friend take care of my fur boys. Lisa can't handle constructive criticism at all, I made sure to not be confrontational in my email. Save yourself hassle and hire someone else. read more

I have hired pet sitters when I go on trips for several years and I can easily say Lisa gave me the best service I have ever experienced. Her pre-visit consultation was very thorough and professional. She had all her paper work, license, insurance ready for review and she clearly explained her services. When I went on a trip and returned home I was delighted. The cats were well taken for and Lisa found extra ways to make the house cleaner than when I left it. Whoohoo for Lisa! Our dog Hunter is a very shy dog that needs attention all the time, especially when we leave for vacation and we cannot take him with us. However, Lisa worked with him and even taught him to obey basic commands when walking! She also visited Hunter a couple of times a day and took care of basic house chores (watering plants, pick up newspaper, etc). Lisa has replied to my review with a poor attempt to try and state her case. I gain or loose nothing from sharing my factual experience and I know that my review could potentially affect her business which is why I took my time in coming to the decision of writing this in the first place so, I can understand why she would try to defend herself even if she did lie. Aside from the terrible experience I had with her when she committed to take on the job, I really don't appreciate that in her attempt to state her case, she has filled it with incorrect and false information showing that clearly she is not of sound mind. Lisa was the first dog walker I'd hired in the state of California and previous to her I had never had any complaints of any of the many previous dog walkers I have had the pleasure to meet and trust with my dogs while we were in Florida. She clearly does not even have the capability of comprehending my review because never did I state I've had bad experiences with other dogs walkers. She never notified me of her getting sick and needing to send someone else to my home until I reached out to her which is was her job to do in case this occurred. She did mention she may have help for very rare cases. Aside from that the dogs need to be walked in the morning and it is so inhumane that she would not send someone to walk them until the afternoon. So, yes, She showed she could not be trusted to be on time or get the back up she needed on time. She never stated anything related to her health as it is stated in her response to my review. If she had explained this to us, we would have definitely questioned if she should really be risking her health doing such a physically demanding job and passed on using her service. She did mention chemo as a form of trying to verbally prove to us that because she's been through chemo she considered herself tough enough to handle our dogs after we explained that our dogs are high energy with other people. She never stated when the chemo took place nor did she state it had been recent. Nothing along those lines. When our dogs are home they are very mellow and quiet whether we are home or not. Although, this wasn't the side she's was going to see of them because we know how their energy levels change from excitement of seeing a new person coming to walk them twice a day. All of the dog walkers we have had have been warned of this and have been completely capable of keeping them under control and I have never received any complaints of my dog's behavior or levels of energy. My dogs were not in crates so it is really insulting that she would make it seem as if we would keep our dogs in crates for 23 hours. It couldn't be any clearer that the drugs she takes, for whatever her state of health is, prevents her from having a clear perspective on reality. 15m walks twice a day is what they are used to when we're in town so for her to question our style of handle our dogs is insulting as well. Doubling the amount of time they are walked with a dog walker is plenty of time for them to be walked as a way of compensating for us not being around for a few days. To give us piece of mind I am always open with our vet on our style of handling our dogs and our vet has always approved and been very helpful with making recommendations or changes so I don't need a delusional dog walker to tell me anything about how we handle our dogs. We have encountered plenty of capable and professional dog walkers since our experience with Lisa so, sadly, she just did not use her best judgement when taking on this job considering the state of her health. read more

Five huge stars for Lisa's Pawsitive Energy professional pet services company!! Lisa is incredibly warm (to pets and humans alike) and extremely responsible. She goes above and beyond expectations! When my boyfriend and I found ourselves needing a babysitter for our three cats at the last minute for our Tahoe Christmas get-away, we luckily found Lisa on craigslist and are so happy we did! She came the same day we called her to meet the cats and conduct a thorough review of everything from cat play preferences to emergency contact numbers. And my cats were clearly comfortable with her. Normally, I really worry about my cats (Hopefully one day I'll have kids but until then and even after they are my babies!) but in Lisa's care I felt they would be well taken care of, have food and water replenished daily, have litter cleaned, and get some play time in. She e-mailed to let me know everything was going great, and sent me a picture of them playing with catnip gifts she got them for Christmas!!! She also offered to take care of plants and bring mail in. When we got back, we found our place cleaner than we had left it--with even the paper towel folded hotel-style....and she had a surprise gift waiting for us. You would probably think that with such great service her company would be totally expensive--but it's not. Her fees were very affordable. I will definitely be giving Lisa a call for any pet sitting needs in the future and recommend her for your dog-walking, cat-sitting, whatever! read more

One day before my gf and I were headed on vacation, two days before Christmas, we found ourselves without a cat sitter. At this point, I have no business getting a half-way decent cat sitter. Instead, I get the best in the business. Lisa showed up that day, asked more question covering more scenarios then I had ever thought about, and completely put our mind at ease. While we were gone, she came every day, wrote us an email with an update on their status, took pictures of them, and even gave them a Christmas present. When we got back, the cats seemed more upset that Lisa wasn't coming back, then happy that we were home. Simply - if you have a pet, and need someone to take care of it, Lisa is the way to go. Lisa is fantastic. She's great with large and small dogs (we have both). She's honest and does what you agree upon with her. Our big dogs (80 and 100 lbs) aren't the dog-friendly kind, so we needed to find someone who didn't just take the dogs to the dog park but rather walked them thoroughly on their own. Lisa knows how to work with them. She modifies her approach for our little dof ( 13 lbs). We've had other walkers that didn't walk the dogs even though that's what we paid them for. Really just can't say enough about Pawsitive Energy. It's been such an amazing experience from Day 1 tell now 5 years later. During that time, Lisa has not only walked & looked over my dog from when he was just a puppy tell today, but also has been such a huge part of my cats lives in such a positive way. My dog Scooby would not be the well trained and happy dog he is today if it wasn't for the time he's gotten to spend with Lisa almost everyday of the week. He's amazing around other dogs, so easy to walk, playful, great friend/companion to my cats, and just a joy to be around. Lisa played such a huge part in helping raising Scooby the right way, and in the 5 years of pet services, never had a issue, not even anything close to an issue. Lisa is the best dog walker in the world! She is dependable and is always willing to ask how she can better assit you and goes above and beyond. She walks our two terrier mixes Sparky & Chester and they love her. Recently Sparky hurt his leg and when he couldn't walk, Lisa made sure to take him out at first to do his business before taking Chester on his longer walk. Then she came back and spent some snuggle time with the boys so Sparky wouldn't feel left out. She even discounted our walks that week, even while giving Sparky the extra attention. She is a great dog walker with a huge heart. Everyone should be so fortunate to have such a terrific dog walker. read more

Pawsitive Energy is the best cat sitter we have ever used The owner is reliable, thoughtful and genuinely cares about animals. She does not hesitate to bring treats for our cat either. We feel very safe knowing that she is taking care of our older cat. WOW!! Lisa is awesome!! I began utilizing Lisa's dogwalking services about 1 month ago for Buddy, my 5 year old Boxer and I can say without any reservations that it has worked out way better than I ever expected. Lisa has such an incredible disposition and positive outlook that Buddy took to her immediately,. Lisa walks Buddy 4 days a week and just last week we changed one of the "walk days" to a rollerblade session, and not only is Buddy happier and calmer than before we started with Lisa, but he also has never looked better. Buddy is a very energetic dog, and even though I walk him every evening when I come home from work, he still had energy to burn. Now, with Lisa walking and rollerblading with him in the afternoons and Buddy still getting his evening walks and play sessions, he sleeps like a baby at night and his temperment is what every dog owner hopes for. I would recommend Lisa to anyone looking for dog walking services.
