Not knowing what to do in a panic, I googled pet cremation and came across Carolina Pet Cremation. On the website it said 24 hour service was available and you could call or text anytime. I honestly didn't expect an answer this late, the day before a holiday, or to be able to take him anywhere that late but I texted to see and almost immediately he responded. Steve said he'd wait there for us to arrive (we were an hour away), it was after 1 am when we finally arrived. Steve was so patient and kind with us. We said our goodbyes and handed out sweet boy over to him. He had Boss ready by 2 pm on the next day before he left to go out of town. Our Bossie Boy was 10 years old. He may have been small but his place in our heart is huge.

So I called Steve and got him directly. He told me to take Giles to a local vets Carefirst, that he uses for his facility. I took him there the next day, They were so kind to me, let me have as much time as I needed, held me and let me tell stories. They held Steve in the highest regard. I didn't expect all I got, besides the personal care for me, I got what you see in the pictures that have been posted. I would recommend this a thousand times!

The goats were larger than a large dog, and we were unable to bury them on our property due to their size. We called our veterinarian, and they recommended Companah. When I called, Sean spoke with me in the gentlest and most compassionate voice. He outlined our options and made an immediate appointment for our goats. We drove down to the location, and we were greeted by the sweetest, most gentle young women. The first thing they said was that they were sorry for my loss. I seem to recall a gentle hug. They brought out carts and carefully loaded the goats. They spoke with me about our options for aftercare for the goats. In a few days, we received a message that our goats were ready to go home. I drove up and picked up the packages. The young woman again was so deeply kind and gentle. I was overwhelmed with the quality and craftsmanship of the memorial pieces I bought to remember my goats. I kept waiting for someone to make fun of me for wanting to preserve the goats in this way, to tell me it was silly or unnecessary. But the entire staff treated me like I had lost a family member, an aunt, a mother, a father. I did lose two family members. The staff at Companah Pet Cremation and Aftercare treated me with dignity and respect. I did not get anyone's names; I was too broken. But thank you to the wonderful staff for taking care of my pets with such care and dignity.

Sean was compassionate, kind and helpful during a very difficult time. Sean helped me work through my decisions, sending me urn pictures with inscriptions and was very patient while I made the final arrangements. Hal met me to pick up my sweet Dinker for cremation. Hal was kind, sympathetic and held my sweet boy with care as if Dinker was his own pet. Companah's understanding the depth of my loss, professionalism and compassion gave me comfort in knowing I had entrusted my beloved Dinker to good caring people, a quality company.

They were so wonderful throughout the process. Someone called first to gently talk me through the process and what to expect. He was very kind with me. I could tell that the company has been in business for a while and they really understand how to work with grieving families. It was almost as if a human family member had passed. The man who dropped off my cat's ashes was also very sweet with me, and he expressed his condolences for my loss. We decided to have a paw print made of our cat, which I thought would be very upsetting, but they did such a nice job with it and it was so sweet that it actually made me feel better. I would highly recommend this company.

They assured me they were routing procedures. That was a Monday, and Friday morning I found him dead. I was in CONSTANT text communication with them, brought Bruno in on Wednesday as his stitches were dark purple and leaking fluid, brought him in on Thursday as he seemed to rapidly decline. I told them to do WHATEVER they needed to NO MATTER THE COST. They assured me my baby would be ok. Caylee kept saying he was "fine" and "just a sensitive boy". He was in their care all day Thursday for fluids and when we picked him up that evening he could barely walk without panting and plopping down every few steps. AGAIN, she said he was "a sensitive boy and just a little inflamed." She ran blood tests and said his white blood cell count was low but that it was normal and that he was AGAIN "SENSITIVE". They wanted me to bring him back in on Friday for more fluids for another full day. After my husband stayed up till around 4:30am, watching him. I woke up at 7:40am and found him dead in his crate with blood and fluid coming out of his belly. I screamed and pleaded for him to wakeup, his belly still warm but his body stiff. I called Clayton Animal Hospital and they just said sorry and sent over 2 vet techs who grabbed him out of the crate to bring to my car to transport to Rollins Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory for Necropsy. Necropsy results said he hemorrhaged and had SEVERE inflammation, essentially dying from SEPSIS. He had muscle NECROSIS. aka his muscle tissue was DYING. He was in their care MONDAY, WED, all day THUR and all signs that he was septic were missed. He had stopped EATING and DRINKING since TUESDAY and CAYLEE CUPPERNULL said and I quote "I don't feel like eating when I have the flu either, he is just a sensitive boy". I have talked to other people who have also lost their pets at the hands of this hospital. I am BEGGING you, do not take your animals here for any major surgery, they will KILL your beloved pet. This place is disgusting and unsanitary. FUN FACT: Caylee Cuppernull never even reached out to apologize or show remorse. I NEVER heard from her ever again and all anyone else could say was "so sorry we don't know how this could have happened". I loved this dog with all my heart and soul. He was THE SWEETEST boy ever, so gentle and full of love with his large paws. I just wanted the best for him and I feel like a failure as a dog parent. Bruno trusted me blindly and I put my trust in this hospital just to lose my fur baby who should have had 5+ more years ahead of him.

When our 14-year-old golden retriever, Jack, passed away, I was at a loss for what to do next but I knew I had to act quickly. Jack weighed 85 lbs, and with an infant at home, the idea of managing everything on my own was overwhelming, more like impossible. I initially contacted a more established service in Jacksonville, NC, but they required me to transport Jack to them, within an hour! I am on Emerald Isle and even without an infant this would have been impossible. They gave no other options. So I looked on google and found this amazing group, Dignified Pet Transport, and I am SO GLAD I did. From the very first call, Nick was incredibly reassuring, telling me not to worry about anything. They immediately offered to come pick Jack up, and I felt such a sense of relief. Their service was prompt, professional, and compassionate, exactly what I needed in that moment. Not only was their service top-notch but their prices were also better than the competitors which was another welcome relief. When they returned Jack's ashes, I was blown away by the professionalism and beauty of the presentation. They brought our Jack back in a beautiful, high-quality cedar box with his name on a gold plate, and they included a print of his paw as a keepsake. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture--truly a beautiful thing. If you're looking for a service that offers everything you need when a pet dies (prompt courteous service, compassion and kindness, flexibility, price and ease of use) you have found the only place you need. Dignified Pet Transport blew me away with how incredible they are at every single step of this difficult process. I'm so thankful I found them in a time of need and I am eternally grateful for how easy they made such a difficult situation.
