We took him to Petfolk (in North Hills) due to the short distance from our house and the stellar Google reviews. Dr. Sawyer was assigned to us and prescribed Baytril, which was to be taken for 7 days. Dr. Sawyer believed, at best, Neo may have a deep ear infection or at worst, neurological issues. Unfortunately, Baytril appeared to make Neo worse. After taking 2.5 tablets every 12 hours with food (as instructed), Neo completely lost his balance and was inactive. Prior to Baytril, he was able to go on walks and played with the other dogs. Due to possible Baytril side effects, we felt Dr. Sawyer lacked bulldog experience and knowledge, and requested another vet. We were reassigned to other vets and were satisfied. Despite best efforts, Neo passed away a week later. We have no ill will towards Petfolk, but they "flagged" us. They stated that we "threatened legal action". Really? If we were threatening or unsatisfied, why would we bring in our other dog to your office after Neo's passing? Don't wait for us to show up at the office and tell us we've been flagged. You have no issue accepting Neo's body and having him cremated. But somehow we are the issue afterward. Maybe take time to reflect and ask yourself, how can we do better instead of flagging customers for negative feedback. You are a professional business, act like it. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Took countless vials of blood and told me that they would post to her chart. Told me to call for any changes. Called them five hours later and told them she was very lethargic and not wanting to eat or drink. I was told that she should be better by morning and to call them in the am. Well two hours later, my sweet baby died in my arms as I did CPR rushing her to the NC State Vet hospital. Now the Avian vet refuses to speak time or share her lab results as promised that they would be available last night. Some they are covering up their mistakes. Absolutely heartbreaking. My baby was only 10 months old, healthy and active until she suddenly got sick. We we were never offered overnight or intensive care. Money was not an issue. And now we have no answers and the Avian and exotic vet are covering up their mistakes. NEVER BRING YOUR BABIES HERE !!! They are killing our babies and covering it up !! And now they respond they they did everything correctly but yet some of her labs were CRITICAL and they never advised me to bring her to the vet hospital. DO NOT TRUST YOUR BABIES TO THEM. THEY ARE NOW COVERING UP THEIR MISTAKES !! My baby died and they never even offered an apology. All I was told was that no one could speak to me about the case, that the director was reviewing it. ** Kiwi was the SECOND squirrel monkey to pass away 24hrs prior who came to this vet. She was also just sent home then passed away at home. Even NC State Vet Hospital said that Kiwi was treated inappropriately and died due to Avian and Exotic negligence. We are awaiting the necropsy results then pursuing legal action. They need to be penalized and possibly lose their exotic animals licensure. THEY FAILED TO DELIVER THE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT AND TESTING. THEY NEVER DID A STOOL TEST DEPITE ME BRINGING HER IN FOR DARK RED RECTAL BLEEDING WITH CLOTS !! HER PLATELET COUNT WAS 2 !! They take great care when I have to board my cats and send daily pictures with cute messages. During the previous boarding, I requested a sanitary trim for my 19yo Maine Coon. The groomer had other ideas. She had the nerve to completely shave my cat, and in the process, nicked her tail twice. She then admonished me for not giving her gabapentin. My cat doesn't need gabapentin. She's extremely calm. I then discovered that the groomer charged $100 vs $24 for the sanitary trim. To Bowman's credit, I was refunded $76. I would highly recommend NOT using their grooming services. The last thing you want when you are away and unable to advocate is to leave your animals in the care of Edward Scissorhands.

Joyce is highly experienced, detail oriented, very kind and truly cares about you and your dog. She keeps thorough and accurate records about each detail of your dog's grooming. Each grooming session is custom made just for your dog. The groomers are excellent, too - very thorough and experienced. They also provide detailed report cards summarizing each visit. They provide ear cleaning, expression of anal glands, nail grinding and de-matting during each visit. I like the fact that my dogs have the same groomer for each visit which maintains consistency. You can also drop off supplies there to support local dog shelters. I am very grateful to Joyce and her groomers for the wonderful care that they provide. Always a great experience for me and my dogs!
