I've brought my Collie, Sunny, here since he was a puppy and he is so excited when we turn into the parking lot, I can barely keep him in the car. Traci, the owner, is incredibly kind as is the entire staff. We added a new addition to our family, a golden retriever named Loki who is the complete opposite of outgoing Sunny. He's very shy and timid but from day one the staff has been patient with him until he gets more comfortable around people and other dogs. Both of them have an absolute blast at daycare and I love having the cameras to peek in and check on them every once in awhile while I'm at work.
I have boarded them multiple times and have never had a problem. My husband and I don't have children and as you can imagine, our boys are our babies. I'm annoying picky about who I leave my boys with and aside from my mom, this is the only place I trust.
Before this doggy daycare was built, I had to bring my previous senior baby(who has now passed on) to a different, well known doggy daycare waaaay across town. The staff was nice and they had cameras as well which I appreciated but my dog wasn't a huge fan of daycare. That's of course, not the places fault but I watched as another dog absolutely pestered my dog for literal hours. He paced and ran from one end to the yard to the other trying to get this tiny dog to stop annoying him. Now I understand it going unseen for a bit. There's a lot of dogs, but after 30 minutes or so, they should have noticed. Anytime I would check on him, he was still trying to get away. I had to end up calling them and asking them to please separate them so my poor old boy could actually rest. They apologized but it was also the last time I sent him there.
Also, a side note in comparison, P&PPS allow intact males which I deeply appreciate. Some places will not take an unneutered male after 6 months. Sunny is neutered but Loki isn't and I'm wanting to wait until he's just a little bit older. They just take extra precautions with intact males so that there's absolutely no fighting. It's just something I felt the need to add because I appreciate their openness to that and finding ways to make it work.
Needless to say, I'm so thankful for Paws and Paw Paws. Myself and my boys love this place and it's such a comfort knowing while my husband and I are on vacation, so are the pups because they're having as much fun as we are. read more
