My kitty once developed a goopy pink discharge in her eye due to being bapped by my other cat. I called and they fit me in that night at 830pm. The veterinarian was very gentle with my baby and did a very thorough checkup. Turns out my kitty was quickly forming an ulcer which we caught very early. We were able to heal it within a week! Turns out the place is open 24/7 so they're the best for emergencies. I also highly recommend this vet for their dental work. My kitty had to have a few teeth extracted and the vet took before, during, and after pictures that were texted to me for reassurance. They did an amazing job on the stitching and she had no post surgical issues. Overall this is hands down the best vet in Lafayette.

I communicated to the techs that she is very skittish and has came from an abusive home. They either disregarded this remark or didn't have the necessary experience to understand the situation and handled her just as any dog. Due to this she did react negatively and bit a tech. They then came back and told me I was lucky that it didn't cause any bleeding otherwise they would've quarantined her at the pound. I am not sure how more clear I could be saying this dog came from an abused home and is skittish. She has never bitten anyone as long as I've had her but how my communication was disregarded and how she was handled escalated the situation unnecessarily which almost resulted the to quarantining my dog.

This veterinarian CARES! My cat was congested and mouth breathing. She was feral years ago and I…read moretrapped her and tamed her. So she's very skiddish and doesn't do well in a pet taxi. I was sure a car ride would kill her. I called numerous vet clinics and the soonest anyone would come out was a month from now. This Veterinarian came right away and gave her an exam and treated her with meds. And the price was unbelievably low. Thank you!!!! Maddie cat will never be touched by any other vet and everyone I know who has an animal will know about this CARING AND COMPASSIONATE doctor!

He kept him alive, enjoying quality of life for the last several years after he was diagnosed with both renal and heart issues. He always accommodated my work schedule in order to provide the care and did so with compassion and gentleness. A few days ago Maurice started having seizures and Dr. Pete tried every medication and treatment available in order to save him. He came to the phone and spoke to me personally multiple times over the course of the the 8 days leading up to his demise. When he suffered a stroke we knew that he was suffering and gasping for breath. Dr. Pete assisted our boy with a painless and peaceful escape to eternal rest. He was extremely caring and it was obvious that it was hard for him to see Maurice in such distress and was deeply moved himself as he fulfilled his patient's care for the last time. He also made all the arrangements for a private cremation so that we could keep him forever with our family in his beautiful tiny urn. I recommend Dr. Pete and his staff completely. We, as well as our Maurice trusted them 100%.

I can't imagine having had a worse experience with a vet clinic. Aside from Dr. Fontenot telling…read moremy husband that she dislikes our breed of dog, A German Shepard, she let him walk out of her practice a year ago, claiming he had a false positive heartworm test. Fast-forward one year and we recently took him back there for his annual visit, and low and behold, he has heartworms. None of the issues we took him in for were addressed and Fontenot didn't even have the common decency to come out to the car (being they are still doing curbside only) to explain his course of treatment. Instead, she sent a vet tech out to our car to try and accuse us of skipping our dog's heartworm preventative ( of which I have records to prove that he has never missed). Accountability is everything in this world. Had she retested him a year ago, perhaps she would have found that indeed his first result was not a false positive. Instead, she is so quick to get everyone out of there. Not thorough at all! Profit only! Additionally, we cannot get this clinic to give our dog the heartworm preventative they are now recommending. They will not authorize his meds through third party services and have been giving me the run around for over a week about technical difficulties with their online store. Overall, this vet is highly incompetent and I believe that because she has such disdain for our dog's breed, she was hoping he would die of heartworms. Please do not bring your pets to this joke of an establishment.

Not the worst experience of my life but definitely not the best…read more I was born and raised in south Louisiana, true Cajun. This is far from the southern hospitality I'm accustomed to seeing... Maybe I caught them on a bad day? First, they only have one doctor on staff and you can expect to wait upwards of thirty minutes to see him in the waiting area. The lady behind the counter doesn't really want to know you or why you're there and her attitude sucked... The visit felt very rushed especially after discovering my dog had heart worms. We rescued this dog not know he had the heart worms and were genuinely concerned for his health. I really didn't feel like they cared about our furry little friend. I'm not saying they have to personally care but on some level that is what vets are suppose to do, CARE for you pet... I would look elsewhere. Update: We took our pet to a vet in Texas and were informed that the heart worm treatment method they wanted to use here was outdated and dangerous.
