A landmark in the Hofgarten Ansbach. With its distinctive red paint and a weather vane on top, this wooden structure stands out at the end of paralleled half mile-long promenade walking route. The moss-covered tile roof adds some rustic feel to it. I can't tell how old this structure is, though.
For practical purposes it provides shelter from the sun and rain/snow to those visitors in this park-garden. For aesthetic purposes it gives a focal point in this otherwise somewhat plain garden-park (except the Orangerie with manicured flower gardens and a fountain).
There's a grassy circular area adjacent to the pavilion where I sometimes see young school-aged children play their heart out. read more
