Brought my car in for some standard maintenance and a noise I was hearing in the front end, and they took care of it without trying to upsell me on a million things I didn't need. They gave me a straightforward breakdown of what was actually wrong and the pricing was very fair for the area. The guys at the desk are down-to-earth and don't give you the runaround. The only reason I'm knocking off one star is that communication can be a little slow on busy days--it took them a bit longer than expected to call me back with the initial estimate. But the quality of the work is solid, the price was right, and they get the job done right the first time. Glad to have a reliable local shop right here in North Babylon. I AM HANGING UP! I was in shock how I was spoken to! So poorly, it's enough for me to reconsider going back there! The waiting area is decent enough and works well for a local independent mechanic, definitely not here to expect dealer service center amenities. It was a quiet morning and they got to work on my car pretty straight away. I got my car back in less than an hour with the oil change and tire rotation. The mechanic and owner was quite friendly and very courteous definitely seem like a great local business. Location wise there's not much around as its mostly an industrial area so if you need major works done definitely plan on transportation. Overall very happy with the service and definitely would be back for my future auto needs.

The undercarriage, however, was completely rust covered. After an internet search, I gave Steve a call. He was gracious enough to spend about 20 minutes on the phone explaining to me the mechanics of rust remediation and agreed to take a look at my car. Ultimately, Steve and Rob removed the rust and replaced two safety plates underneath, one on the gas tank and the other on the front differential. On their recommendation, struts, shocks, bushings, and all of the mechanical linkages were replaced. The result of all this work is that I have a 15 year old car that literally drives like new. I cannot say enough about the job Steve and Rob did for me. They were always caring, considerate, informative, and accommodating. And, the price was extremely fair and work was finished on time when promised. Do yourself a favor and give Steve a call if you need a restoration. Get lucky like me and find a couple of mechanics you can really trust.
