It's a great spot for your classic gym work-out's, but also as a change in pace for those who work from home (there's a separate work space where you can also rent out private room). Noise level is typically lively. Parking in the main lot is difficult especially after work or at noon (during weekday's) and is generally packed during the weekend - of note, there's an alternative parking lot to the side of the main lot for Bay Club-specific parking (approximately 5min walk). SERVICE Service was friendly, overall, as you're typically greeted by those at the front desk, which is lovely. I'd say there is room for improvement for my tour/meeting with the membership director when I first looked at Bay Club Courtside, as it felt that my question's were more of annoyances and that he wanted the meeting to be over with sooner than later. STANDOUT DETAIL What stood out most to me was the overall atmosphere and vibe - it feels like I'm going on vacation to a resort everytime I enter (rather than a gym). I've never paid a monthly fee for a gym until now, and I'll say it's absolutely worth it! Overall, I'd highly recommend Bay Club Courtside!

Not sure if my review counts because I'm leaving a review for the pickleball courts... :D…read more This is a friendly and organized place to play open play pickleball. There are 6 pickleball courts. The 3 courts closer to the street are "Competitive" while the 3 courts closer to the baseball field are "Friendly" (good place for beginners to start). The people are kind, and most people do a decent job following the rules of place their paddles in the racks to wait their turn. It's nice that there are seats facing the courts and racks so that you can sit and watch all the courts play as you wait your turn. I'm grateful for the volunteers bringing order to what could've been / could be chaos (given how busy this place gets). Join the Whatsapp group where they share updates!

One of the best lighted free public tennis courts for nighttime play in the Bay Area…read more I used to play doubles tennis here after work twenty years ago. Would hurry from work in Menlo Park, and drive down highway 85, through stop and go traffic exiting at Stevens Creek, making a turn onto Mary going past the Senior Center in Memorial Park to park about 100 yards from the courts. Entered through the back entrance where the restrooms are located. Would race to the clock board, to wait in line for an open court on the grandstand overlooking the six doubles courts, each separated by partitions. No balls rolling from one court to another. And each court has it's own entrance. The lighting on these courts is fabulous, better than Sunnyvale Las Palmas, which charges $14 per hour per court to play at night. Played here at Memorial Park because we couldn't get courts after work at Las Palmas, due to USTA league play, and Mango courts too busy. Superior design, with rectangular lights, shining down, instead of circular lights shining into your eyes when tossing the ball to serve. Stopped playing here once Las Palmas changed USTA nighttime league starting times from 6pm to 7pm on weekdays, when Lifetime Activities took over. Played at 530pm for years. And two years ago, changed to morning weekday tennis now that me and my tennis buddies are retired, and blind as a bat at night. Today, in the pandemic era, the courts are now painted blue, a trend throughout the South Bay, similar to Las Palmas, Cuesta in Mountain View, and Cupertino Sports Center. Most people reach the courts entering off of Stelling through Alves and driving into the spacious parking lot, some 300 yards from the courts. You can't park on Christensen in the residential area, as permit parking only 7am-10pm. Courts 5 and 6 are reserved for city sponsored tennis lessons every day throughout the year 8am-10pm, pandemic or not. Senior center reserves courts 5,6 on Tuesdays 8am-12pm. Courts washed 6am-9am on Tuesdays. Meaning no play until 10am. Courts are spotless and have been recently repainted, after being resurfaced a few years ago. We don't play in Sunnyvale any more, as pandemic rules since May 16 say singles only. Here in Cupertino sign says doubles allowed, but only two households per court. Same county. It is what it is. Four senior men playing, of widely different appearances and ethnic backgrounds! I like playing tennis with my buddies, but would not want to be in the same household as them. Not sure how we will fool the authorities!
