Mid size park with a trail that is good for walking and running. There's plenty of parking available, although the lot fills up pretty quickly during busy hours. One thing to keep in mind if you have a dog is that it can be a little difficult to maneuver around the trail because there are occasionally off-leash and reactive dogs. You may have to step aside constantly or wait for others to pass by. read more

Loved this park! It feels like a smaller-scale version of an inclusive playground like Budd Park. The gated play area made it feel extra safe, and there's so much for kids to enjoy--tons of slides (I counted about 5!), two separate playgrounds for big kids and littles, balancing beams, cute pretend critters, and a mix of swings including adaptive circle swings. There's also plenty of space to hang out, a beautiful trail, lots of friendly dogs, a basketball court, and nearby bathrooms. Only downside is parking can be a bit tricky, and there's some construction right now--but overall, such a great spot, especially for fellow special needs parents! read more

One of my favorite parks to come with my dog! The Los Gatos Creek Trail cuts right into the park and offers a really nice 2-3 mile loop route that's great to visit year-round. The first half of the loop is nicely shaded, but the second half is in full sun-- so definitely come prepared with a hat + sunscreen on those hotter days. Park is also within walking distance of downtown Campbell, so we usually grab a coffee from Manresa afterwards ;) read more

Decided to go on a bike ride in the area, and saw that this park has a solid relaxed little bike/running trail. It was nice for something really chill for me and my girlfriend. We sat down on a bench after the ride and hung out for a bit, too. Overall a nice place to spend an afternoon. read more

Campbell Park is located in downtown Campbell a stones throw away from all the shops and restaurants including one of my go-to cookie shop, Nox Cookies. My toddler niece and I love to spend the afternoon at the playground, and finish our day with some cookies and chocolate milk at Nox. It's really a highlight for her and a treat for me to see how joyful the simple things in life can brighten two people's lives. Campbell park is great for toddlers and basketball players and connected to the trail that leads to Los Gatos so it's a great opportunity to get some serious cardio run in or enjoy a leisurely stroll with the family. The downside is parking can be a hassle when it's busy. The lot is limited as well as the side streets. And the playground capacity is higher so there is more wait time for the swings, and slides especially when a child is walking/crawling up a slide, total gridlock. Lol read more

Cleanliness 9/10 Very clean however some dog owners leave their dog dung without cleaning. The park does provide baggies tho. Amenities 9/10 Nice basketball courts and playground. Trail is cool with calisthenic workouts. Pests 7.5/10 Generally not a problem but trails can have tons of flies sometimes in certain areas. We liked the old playground, but hadn't been to the new playground until today. There is an area for younger kids and a taller play structure for the bigger kiddos. They kept slides in the hillside, but added some saucer swings, which are reminiscent of those at the Magical Bridge Playground. During the pandemic, the basketball nets were taken down, and our Campbell Rollers group took over; still a great place to skate, but have to make sure you go at a less populated time, so the courts aren't being used for their true purpose. read more

I've been here a few time at different times of day each time. I like walking my little Chihuahua here. There is always enough activity for him to be stimulated, but not so much that he can't focus when I give him a command. The little guy is a senior dog that is super anxious and can be reactive, so I have to keep an eye on what's going on around us when we walk. The playground looks cute. I've never actually been into that area. It's gated, which is nice. There are a variety of walking paths available. There's a drinking fountain with a portion of it at dog level. I haven't been to the dog park yet. I actually don't even know where it is. The park is a good size, so it will be a while before I can explore it all. I've seen courts for people to play various games as well. Parking can be a bit challenging with how popular this park is, but it is well maintained and worth the effort. read more

Kid friendly gated playground. Gated dog park. Start of the Los Gatos trail. I came here and met someone to go out on a walk with. The trail starts here and goes quite a ways. Along the way, I saw the playgrounds that we're gated for children and then another one for dogs. There is a parking lot and some parking spots including street parking and it does get full on a Saturday. Park is recommended but come early to catch parking. read more

There are multiple sets of swings, including ones for toddlers, multiple slides for children of all ages, and a misting area to keep cool/for some water fun. My biggest "gripe" if you will is that the gates to the playground aren't self closing & oftentimes are left wide open by kids or parents. Great park for kids and families! The slides and play structures are safe and age-appropriate, with plenty of space, a safety fence, and lots of padding. The rolling slide is always a hit. PARKING sucks. The lot is small and it's a big and popular park. What were the city planners thinking? Limited street parking. PARK itself is big! Playground that's blocked off for now. Bathrooms are open and near the parking lot. Trails and areas near the creek down below where people can go in and cool off. Basketball courts. Biking running trails. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons 3pm and later there's a group that plays salsa and bachata music. Not the best as far as COVID-19 infection control but the police haven't stopped them so far. Dog friendly. Lots of goose poop everywhere so careful where you walk. read more

I've been to this park a couple of times and I loved how they had a older playground and a younger/gated toddler playground surrounded by sand. There's construction going on currently, and the playground is closed but there's still a number of basketball courts. There's two trails, in a giant live that go all the way down to Vasona park if you're willing to go that far! I really like walking the trails for now since the playground portion of the park is closed, and there's also a number of outdoor workout equipment with guidelines of how to do each work out posted around the outskirts of the smaller grassy area of the park before you start walking on the trail down to Vasona park. read more

Campbell Park is a medium sized urban park located near the heart of downtown Campbell. There is a parking lot with about 20 spaces and angled street parking, so if it's not peak hours, you can find a spot to park. There are restroom facilities, a playground, large grassy areas, a walking trail, and the ever popular basketball courts. As of our visit yesterday, the playground is cordoned off with no indication as to when it will reopen. The park connects to the Los Gatos creek trail. The trail is paved and runs on both the east and west side of the creek with a bridge crossing about a mile into the trail from Campbell Park. There are a good number of walkers, bicyclists, and joggers. The creek is not terribly beautiful, but it's a little bit of nature in the concrete jungle which is Silicon Valley. On the East side of the trail, it runs parallel with the freeway so there is considerable traffic noise. On the West side are some older home and newer town homes on part of the trail. This may not sound ultra appealing, but it is a well maintained park, it feels safe, and has a lot of nice features. I also have brought my kiddos here a number of times through the years so it holds some fun memories. read more

We started off on the Los Gatos Creek Trail after my brunch because even though I have gone to the gym at the crack of dawn, I wanted to get more cardio in because I knew today was the last day to indulge. If you are wondering, I started my no carb diet, that's why. I took a detour to Downtown Campbell because I wanted cupcakes from Frost Cupcake Factory. Little did I know, I bought a total of 3 from them. I devoured the Burnt Almond on the spot and if you complained about either Peter's or Dick's burnt almond cake being a little on the dry side then you need to try Frost's Burnt Almond. It blew my socks off. It was rad! For the curious souls, I got the Salty Sweet and the Irish Frost Bomb as well (devoured about 2 hours afterwards). Anyway. As I was making my way back on the trail, I noticed a park, and started to wander towards it so my monster can play. The weather was simply beautiful and hot that day but I was in stupid jeans because it was cold and gloomy when I left the house. Now I have a pair of shorts in my car in case because I needed a tan freakin' badly. What I noticed immediately were the 2 full size basketball courts. Watching bits and pieces of the game made me reminisce. I played basketball for 4 years in school (6th grade till 9th). On my right, there is a small enclosure of the park albeit spacious for the smaller children to play. There is a set of swings, a water and sand thingy, a slide, and a mini seesaw. We were in there for quite some time but I took him out of the swings after seeing that a little boy was waiting to be on it. For those w/ older children, fear not, there is another section of the park for them as well but somehow he didn't wander there. He and I ran around the grassy fields until I was tired of chasing after him. We then crossed the bridge and got back onto the trail. Though I wasn't attire prepared, I had a nice, relaxing, fun, and serene experience at this park and so did my little one. The parent(s) there kept to themselves and had a smile on their face - all of them including yours truly. How could you not? It's not just Saturday but a gorgeous Saturday at that! I don't go for the basketball court w/ bleachers (which is lit until 10), nor does my hiking friend (which is lit until 12). Nor do I use the playground or even their horseshoe area, which I heard is the pits. The "water feature" (a play shower running 11-5) is good for wetting my head before and after the access to the Los Gatos Creek Trail, which is why I go. The trail is a two-way paved lane. Though one side is going to be walled housing, walled industry (west) or the I-17 (east), the other side will be the cliffs above the Los Gatos Creek, which is out of reach, unless you want to get daring, dirty, and spidery, climbing through the brush, which in some parts is full of plants that smell like black Good N Plentys. Sometimes it has a current, sometimes it is still, and sometimes there are geese. I walked about two miles one way, just past San Tomas Expressway to a Los Gatos Creek County dog park, passing a bridge going over some spillway and medieval looking torture devices I found out later were used for exercise. Best of all, after a refreshing, calorie-burning walk, you're less than 2,000 feet from Taco Bravo. read more

Your county has more cases than most and yet people were jogging, walking, running, talking, and grown adults climbing on the monkey bar-all maskless. Awesome park for kids. Clean, new, and unique/ there's a water spray, themed playground, soft grounding, and all in a fenced area for kids.

My girlfriend wanted to celebrate her 25th birthday at Campbell Park so that's what we did. The picnic tables near the basketball court are first come first serve and we made sure to be the first ones there. It was probably a little excessive, but we got to the picnic tables at about 8:00am even though her party didn't start until 12pm. It did however give us enough time to set a bee trap away from our tables, (which helped tremendously) clean the bbq grills, lay table covers, set up lawn chairs, EZ ups, and etc. Obviously at a park, you never know what characters you are going to get, but this particular Sunday was perfect. Some guys got together to play the Bongos, people were having fun basketball pickup games, and everyone gave us our space. We did read that you have to have a permit to bring alcohol out in public, but our group had a variety of juices on display and a cooler for beer to put into cups (don't tell on us). The weather was great, everyone had fun and the park was beautifully well kept. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend you check this park out. read more

Love the park! It's huge and there's 3 different sections of the playground, so doesn't get too overpacked. Lots of other friendly families come around also. Parking is good, and it's stroller friendly. My daughter loves the swings and the slides and my infant son loves watching the wind blow the leaves and friendly dogs pass by. There's also basketball courts, so I'm sure one day my husband and his friends will play there. I've taken my kids there a few times already and will continue to do so! read more

Campbell Park is conveniently located right outside downtown Campbell (it's between downtown and the Pruneyard). It's always packed with families with young children, people running on the trails, bicyclists meeting up for rides, etc. The park is mostly open grass space, but also has playground areas, public restrooms, drinking fountains, picnic tables with barbeque areas, and basketball courts. It's a great place to come read, people watch, have a picnic, or just hang out on the grass with your dog. The Los Gatos Creek Trail runs around/through the park, so it's very accessible if you're interested in walking along the creek. The only downside to Cambell Park is the parking situation. I've only driven there one time; it took me about 15 minutes to find a space and the lot is always packed! If you're visiting or living near Campbell, Campbell Park is a must-visit for a beautiful day outside. read more

I came across this park while walking the trail starting from Los Gatos Creek Trail. It is slightly over a mile, low key hike. The park was the light at the end of the tunnel for me. There are two small play areas which includes a gated toddler playground. The big kids area has a traditional merry-go-around which are hard to find nowadays and a rope climbing structure. Bathrooms are located above the playgrounds. There is also a baseball field and big swings across the play area. read more

This is a great park - it has pretty consistent basketball games Mon-Thursday evening and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. It's also got plenty of amenities for kids. However I highly recommend keeping young kids away from the basketball court if you catch my drift. read more

I love Campbell Park. This is my go to spot for a nice run or bike ride to Los Gatos. The trail gets pretty crowded at peek times with bikers, joggers, dog walkers, and group walkers, but for the most part, everyone is very mindful of each other and pass you or move to their right when they are slower. Campbell does a great job of maintaining this park. It's very safe and family/pet friendly. read more

Take the whole fam and spend the day here getting sunshine and tons of exercise. The Los Gatos trail runs through the park, and connects you to Lexington Reservoir and St. Joseph's Hill.
