Randy got me in within 48 hours, identified and fixed the issue within just a few hours. Unfortunately, the light came back on (no fault of SMC) the following day. I brought it back in and again, had a quick turnaround on getting it resolved. Randy called me off-hours to let me know it was all set, resolving all issues prior to me leaving Scarborough. He changed my oil once with the Amsoil that I provided. He instructed me to buy an oil pan plug from the Subaru dealership for the next oil change, which I did. When I called this unscrupulous mechanic to schedule my next oil change, he advised me that it was "Not in his business plan to do oil changes on vehicles when the owner provides the high quality oil. ? I find myself wondering what a dealership will find when they check that oil pan plug Lou instructed me to purchase? What did he not tell me? I'm suspicious that the dealership will find that Lou damaged my oil plug. I'm going to the dealership today and if I'm wrong I'll come back to this site and apologize. If I'm right I will be back to spread that news as well. Either way I will be back and meanwhile I urge you to be careful because this guy talks out of both sides of his mouth. Beware.
