After having a very disappointing and discouraging experience with another local florist who failed to deliver flowers for my granddaughter's 7th birthday--and showed little care or courtesy--I was honestly hesitant to try again. I placed an order with Pauline's Bloomers the very next morning, and the difference was night and day. They were kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making things right. They took great care with my order and ensured prompt delivery, even though it was a day late. Most importantly, my granddaughter felt so special receiving her flowers, and that meant everything to me. I ordered flowers to be delivered in Brunswick. The flowers were not delivered on the date I ordered them to be- when I asked what happened, I was told that they had been delivered, left at the front door and Pauline's driver tried to call the individual who was receiving them. Non of that was true. The flowers were not delivered, nor had they tried to call. The flowers were delivered the next day. When I called expressing my frustration and I was going to take my business elsewhere- I was told that Pauline's was "the only florist in Brunswick." Wow- no wonder they do not care about customer service. Great opportunity for florists in Augusta or Lewiston to move into the Brunswick market. Do not use this business!! So disappointing to go to a florist that does not have particularly fresh flowers. I got assorted flowers. Three were so wilted that I went back the next day to replace. She gave me replacements and actually had her staff put the wilted flowers back in the case. The next day the replacement flowers were totally dead. (see photo). If she knew she was selling flowers that couldn't make it three days she should have informed me to choose something else. Now all her flowers are very dead and the store bought are thriving. Awful. With Valentine's approaching I wanted to WARN - NOT to use Pauline's Bloomer's. This florist is a complete bait & switch florist. I recently ordered flowers (18 roses) and she delivered what looked like what you would get from a grocery store (a mixed flower bunch - not even roses), then stuck it in a vase. Absolutely no excuse, I could not believe this. Luckily, I confirmed with my sister what she had received. Also, if you order through FTD, Telaflora, or a company like that, confirm who they are using. Bad, bad, bad. read more

I called from out of state to place an order, a female voice picked up and was so rude from the beginning. She asked for the receiver name and address, and since it was for a newborn baby, I gave her the dads name, she then rudely raised her voice saying "M'am I understand that this is going to the hospital, but you need to give me the mother's name, not the name of the baby." Girl that's not how you talk to a customer. You ARE in the retail business, you better change the tone of your voice if you want people to spend money buying flowers from you. The arrangement offlowers Pauline's just delivered on a freezing January day (they called first to make sure someone would be home so they wouldn't be left out in the cold) is exquisite. My sister had requested my favorite colors and they somehow managed to make the bouquet of my dreams: purple iris, deep blue delphinium, pale blue hydrangeas, fragrant white stock, yellow tulips etc. in a cobalt glass vase. Best arrangement ever!! A month later the flower have gone but we are still enjoying the evergreens and elegant decorations of ribbon and glitter in a simple rustic glass vase. It was an impeccable combination and the most appropriate colors scheme. My husband had gone to two local florists asking for an arrangement for our Hanukkah table. Pauline's provided us with some centerpieces for a bridal shower. The folks at Pauline's were helpful in thinking through flowers that would stay close to our budget (just slightly over) and would go with the wedding colors. The flowers looked great and received many compliments. The best part, however, was that they lasted -- they looked great at the shower, but were also in easy-to-transport containers, so that we took them back and used them as centerpieces and decorations the next day at the rehearsal, and the NEXT day (two days later) at the wedding itself! Also, there was a lot going on to get set up for the shower, and I hadn't even noticed the time until Pauline's CALLED ME to ask about my pick-up plans and suggested leaving the flowers at a nearby store that would be open when I got into town, after their shop would be closed. Very mixed feelings about Pauline's Bloomers. For our wedding 5 years ago, my husband bought us bouquets of beautiful white roses. They were lovely, and lasted more than a week. For our fifth anniversary, he bought white roses again (same time of year, same store) and they were already brown when they were delivered, dead a couple of days later. For the kind of money these cost, they should be fresh, and should last a while. We'll give them another shot given previous experiences. read more

The flowers you see on their website are not what they have in the store. After you order online they will call you and tell you they don't have what you ordered or that it won't be delivered by them but by a commercial delivery service. They have done that to me twice now and suggested that they could deliver it for more $. After this I gave them one more chance to be my go to florist but again they disappointed me. I scheduled to have two sets of flowers delivered to the same person at two different places for a fee of over $150. They went to the first place, a business, and the person was not there yet so instead of leaving them there, they delivered both sets to the person at the other address. They took two phone numbers from me to call if there was a problem. They failed to call me or the recipient of the flowers, the owner told them to just deliver two sets of flowers to the same person at one place contrary to my instructions. And did I mention they charged me two delivery fees for delivering everything at one place. After I called them to see what happened and how I could get flowers delivered to the second location, they said they could go over to the computer and I could order some more flowers, which was not responsive to my concern. Seems like if your spending over $150 with a small family owned business they would take greater care in customer satisfaction, not offering to sell you more. read more
