I contacted Megan in a floral emergency, and she came to the rescue! My sister-in-law texted us the night before, asking us to witness her marriage to her boyfriend the following day at 1:30 pm. I needed (8) floral arrangements for 30" cocktail tables. I researched several florists in the area, viewed their websites and their social channels, and I reached out, received an email back with pricing. I was quoted $75 per piece. This is slightly higher than what I pay in Boston, but not outrageous. However, given the Maine market, this a little steep (this is my opinion based off my experience - 15+ years of event management, but honestly this is not the issue). I asked to see a sample photo of what the piece might look like - I wasn't expecting her to create a sample arrangement - just a photo of something she might have done recently that was similar and would show the size. Megan replied back referring me to her site and social for samples and explained her design technique is light and airy, seasonal flowers, and about 8-12 inches wide. As one can imagine, it's super difficult to get a sense of size based off a picture with no context, and if I'm going to pay $75 per piece, I don't want "light and airy" greens with a few flowers. I was hoping she would provide a sample image to help me grasp what she had in mind. It was clear that she did not want to take the time to do this, which would have taken 15 seconds. That 15 seconds cost her the job. I realize this is not a large order compared to a wedding or other large scale event, so perhaps next time, Megan, just say you don't want to do the job. Good customer service goes a long way, especially in today's social media and internet-driven culture. read more

Impeccable. Lovely. Divine. Heartfelt. Where do I even start? I called Megan at FIELD just before Thanksgiving & we chatted about a very special arrangement I wanted to send to my newborn baby niece, brother & sister-in-law. We chatted at length about what specific flowers, berries & greenery would work well. Megan also agreed to deliver the arrangement to my brother's home - which is outside of her normal delivery zone. Impressive. Fast forward to the scheduled flower delivery date = massive snowstorm & terrible road conditions, which made it impossible for FIELD to deliver the flowers.
