He arrived on the wrong day ... when I attempted to contact him on the day we scheduled, I received a text from him that I don't fit his schedule. Don't count on this man is all I can say. Please note, I had just broken my shoulder, the reason I made the request for lawn service. I hired Whitehurst Lawn Care Company of Buckhannon to mow, weed eat, blow surfaces off, and remove…read moresticks from our property. We agreed on $70 a week to do so. The first time he performed the service, he did not remove the sticks and forgot to weed eat one area. Our property is on a steep incline, but he came out looked at it and gave us an estimate before agreeing to do it. The next week he did not come, but told me it was due to it being so wet. I didn't say anything about him not taking the sticks nor about the one area not being weedeaten, instead chalking it up to being nervous the first time performing the task. He came today, for the second time, to perform the service. I had an exterminator here looking at our property at the same time. When he got ready to leave he said, did you know your lawn care guy already left? I walked out and only half my yard was done. I commented that maybe he'd gone to eat lunch, but he would be back. I went to town to pick my husband up and stop at the grocery store, being gone maybe an hour. Upon returning home, we both noticed the yard was not done. No weeding, mowing wasn't finished, didn't blow anything off, and the infamous sticks were still there. I contacted him on messenger since this is how we conversed. He informed me that he wasn't returning, stated my car was in the way (it was parked in my paved driveway), and he almost killed himself on our hill the last time and that zero turn mowers did not have brakes. He never told me any of this when he finished last time nor any time I spoke to him on messenger. I had given him $80 today, because I only had 4 $20 bills. He didn't want to return any of my money, so I had to threaten to take him to court to get any of it back. So please, if you deal with this lawn care business, be careful.
