I am no Bridezilla; every other vender is receiving 4 or 5 stars. * We planned to take shots to close our ceremony. They did not fill the shot glasses. I had verified with them the day before. * They did not put out the glass for my husband to step on and shatter. (I'm Jewish) And they were not watching the ceremony as it happened. When we were finished and there was no glass, I literally had to announce into the microphone, during our wedding ceremony, "Wedding planners?!!?! Can we get a glass up here please??" * They did not put the top on the chuppah, an essential part to a Jewish wedding, even after my mother went out to talk to them about it during set up, and after they had provided me the picture of the chuppah we used. * Dinner plates were never cleared. There were still dinner plates on tables the next day. * Cake was not served. It was sliced and put off to the side, with no announcement. They knew that was the primary reason I wanted separate servers & bartenders. * I made sign labeling the vegetarian dishes, and they were not put out. A couple vegetarians ate only beans & rice because they didn't know what was safe to eat. * When trays on the buffet table were empty, they were not rotated out. My relatives did it because they could not find any servers to do it. * The glasses on the tables had labels and the program asked guests to label their glasses. We had flower pens for the table. I put them in a bag labeled "Pens to put on tables to label drinks" - They did not go out. * On the seating chart I marked the tables with kids and non drinkers to put Martinelli's apple cider in addition to wine. No one got their Martinelli's. * We had a bottle of port for each table, and bought 150 port wine glasses. They were to go out on each table when the cake was served. That did not happen; the port and glassed were still in their cases the next day. * Champagne Bar - Was to have sparking fruit sodas, champagne, juices and fruit. They ONLY put out the champagne and fruit. Everything was labeled for them and we discussed this at length before the wedding. * Coffee Bar - We bought Kailua, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Butterscotch schnapps to put out on the coffee bar. They did not go out. * Candy Bar - For the desert table there was an antique suitcase filled with 1920s themed candy (for the theme) and a sign. They did not put it out. * During the ceremony, our bridal party sat down instead of standing, and they put too many chairs up there so it looks like someone is missing in all the pictures. * They redecorated my cake. We had a small, simple, white, round cake. They took crumbs (red velvet) from the cake and sprinkled it all over the top so it looked like sprinkles. * Angela was very outwardly stressed. I had guests tell me she was stressing them out. She kept telling me about how I should write complaint letters to vendors after the wedding, and how bad my DJ was screwing up. I had to tell her, "Things happen. I'm not going to worry about it. It's my wedding." * We made a photo booth. A bird pooped on the front of it. My brother in law got cleaning solution and a rag and gave it to her, asking her if a staff person could deal with it. No one did. * They could not figure out my bustle. They rigged it and it looked awful, with my floor length gown pulled 1/3 up my leg. Then she left a pile of safety pins on my chair. My husband stopped me before I sat on them. When I took the dress off and looked at, I was able to fasten the bustle in 30 seconds. * Our pictures ran long and we asked them to let our guests start eating. They didn't want to save us food; my brother in law had to insist. Then they made plates to save for us. * They asked me to buy some items; ice scoops, several wine openers... They were not used. * They were rude to my parents. * When people arrived, we had belly dancers greet them. The belly dancers were to hold up signs and seat everyone when the time came. But they made the announcement instead, and the beautiful signs we made went to waste. * THERE IS MUCH MORE but I am out of space.

I searched different wedding planners in the area and after interviewing Angela and Aly with Out of the Ordinary and one other place, the decision was clear! They offered many different options for assisting me and my fiancé on our special day, ranging from just coordination on the day of the wedding to taking care of every little detail. I had absolutely no interest in pricing out different vendors so I chose to go with the full service route and I could not have been more happy. This was worth every single penny! I knew that if I had done all the planning myself and then tried to tell them how I wanted every single detail at the last minute it would not have been the day I envisioned. The day of our wedding could not have been more beautiful or well planned! I had no clue that several things went wrong... The priest being late for one! Or that one of our shuttle busses broke down while transporting guests to our reception. Aly handled all of these mishaps with ease and grace. Angela was also the picture of professionalism when dealing with prickly vendors. The bottom line was that I did not have to worry about a thing at out wedding and my husband and I are so grateful to the superior service that we received from Out of the Ordinary. During the process I became friends with Angela and Aly and I know we will stay in contact for many years to come. I wish I could give them ten stars! If you are on the fence about having a planner, call them and meet them, the first appointment is completely free with no strings attached! But, I can almost guarantee that you will hire them on the spot!

The venue itself was beautiful, and some of the staff members we encountered were extremely friendly. Unfortunately, despite these positives, my overall experience left me feeling disappointed and stressed. At our final meeting, all of my carefully planned details were simply handed off to someone else who did not seem invested in my day. Half of my bridal party had never been in a wedding before, and despite asking multiple times, we were unable to secure a proper rehearsal time. We later learned this was because another event was booked that night. Our "rehearsal" ended up being squeezed into the bridal suite, which was chaotic. On top of that, another bridal party was scheduled to rehearse in our space at 1:00 p.m.--just two and a half hours before my guests were to arrive at 3:30. It was very stressful and did not feel like the focus was on our wedding. The morning of our wedding, I decorated everything with the help of one friend, only to have one of my bridesmaids rush in to tell me that another bridal party was practicing in the same space we had paid for and spent all morning decorating. The new woman in charge of the wedding (I never learned her name) Came to me and asked "what my problem was" When I asked about it, I was told, "Sorry, this is just how we do things here." That response left me feeling like my day wasn't valued. I also spent the night before carefully labeling bins and creating spreadsheets for the staff as they requested. Despite this, my belongings were returned completely disorganized--items were put in the wrong bins, frames were broken, and irreplaceable family photos were damaged. I had also rented flowers from Something Borrowed Blooms and specifically reminded the staff they were rentals that needed to be returned. Instead, they were placed in buckets of water--even though they were artificial--and I was later charged for them. I've been hesitant to leave this review because I wanted to move on and focus on the good memories of my wedding day. However, I feel future brides should be aware. While Erica was wonderful to work with, and the venue was undeniably beautiful, the way key details were handled was very disheartening.

The Arbor Loft was hands down the best decision we made in terms of vendors for our wedding. From…read morethe beginning at the inquiry stage, they responded quickly and gave us all the information in a digestible manner. The loft itself is a beautiful space. It's a venue where you can decorate as much or as little as you'd like. The exposed white brick, the huge industrial windows, the perfectly appointed greenery that's already there and the adorable trendy modern furniture all make a great setting for whatever the event. The bridal and groomsman suites are amazing!! There's a photo opportunity at every corner. I loved how all my photos turned out! The Arbor Loft staff are just wonderful. We worked with Maddy first who got us to the contracts stage. She was super helpful and responded to all of our lengthy contract review comments. Then we worked with Carly all the way up until the wedding day. I cannot express how thankful we were to Carly. She responded to every email we had in less than 48 hours (I cannot say that for any of my other vendors). No matter how small or big the list of questions were, we got an answer. As a stressed out and type A bride, I can't even begin to stress the importance of receiving an answer in a reasonable timeframe. Unless you do one of their planner packages, it's important to note the Arbor Loft is not your wedding planner. They are very good however at asking the questions that make sure you are on track and have the minimum you need for a wedding day. On the day itself we worked with Autumn. She was so calming and even helped me with a fussy bustle that none of my bridesmaids can figure out. I would not have been able to do my first dance without her! For catering we used the Loft's Folk catering. They had such an interesting menu and we received such good feedback on the food. One of my picky friends event complimented on the dinner. They presented the buffet beautifully. For late night we picked a couple pizzas from swan dive, which delivered straight to the venue. This was the best food item for me on the day. The vegan pizza was soooooo delicious and I was grateful for the extra food since I didn't eat much during the day. Since Folk and Swan Dive were associated with the loft, everything was on one invoice and it was so easy when it came to settling the bill. Carly also kept us on track with payments which we were so grateful for. At the end of the wedding, the staff packed up all of our decorations for us based on an inventory list which was so helpful!! Especially when you're exhausted at the end of the night! Some tips for anyone engaged and getting married at the Loft. Attend one of their open houses. It's super helpful to see the types of furniture, linens, and rentals they offer. Don't buy anything that the loft can provide either for free or a reasonable price. The open house also gives you the vibe of when there are people there. You can also sample food from one of their caterers. And it's free! Take advantage of the furniture that's in the loft already. They have really cute lounge pieces that you can use for a photo op. Use the greenery they have in the space. All of these items can be moved to wherever you want if you just ask. The bridal suite is huge and a lovely space to get ready, use it. One suggestion I have for the loft is to have a bar sampling night. We did not get to taste test any of the drinks they offered for signature cocktails or any of their other alcohols. I'm sure they did a great job with the open bar but I think a drinks night will be super fun for everyone. I absolutely will recommend working with the Arbor Loft team at any of their locations. You stayed in touch and were always there to answer every question, and you had a magic way of making our wishes and desires come to life, not only in what we wanted to promise to each other, but in the message that we wanted to convey to our guests as we shared our commitment with each of them.
