And when he comes home from day camp he's had a fun day & is tuckered out. I've been able to tour the facilities & they do a good job keeping things clean and caring for the animals. They have regular kennels and suites - we usually splurge for the suites since that includes medications & extra play time. By the time we would pay for a regular kennel and add on the extras this is the better price for us. And the theme rooms are really cute. They also do grooming. I appreciate that they will bathe him &/or trim nails. I get nervous trimming his nails, then he gets nervous & it isn't good. For a few extra dollars it is worth having it done when he is at camp. Everyone is happier that way. I would never take my dog anywhere else. I trust them completely with his care.

This was a great surprise, so we took all of our pets to the vet, and he confirmed that our pets didn't have any fleas. The problem is that she made a REALLY big deal about the fleas and said that her employees wouldn't sit for us because of the fleas. She lectured us about hard it was to get rid of fleas and that we had to bomb and do follow-up treatment. She was really weird. She first said that one of her employees found 3 fleas on him during the interview. After that, when she came back, she said she was picking fleas off of the other employee and that he told her that he wouldn't pet sit for us. She was awful and oh so strange and the message was that we were lucky to have her team as pet sitters, as though we were the lucky ones to have her, not that we were valued as a customer. Keep in mind that I worked many years as a pet sitter and never would have treated a potential customer the way this very strange team treated us. There are so many pet sitters that are great. Keep looking, please. Thank goodness, our pets don't have fleas, confirmed by our vet. That said, how annoying because she didn't like my partner she made up ugly stories, I guess assuming that we wouldn't check. Very, very weird people, and we're very glad we didn't allow them in our home with our pets when we weren't home.

Dee Dee takes your pet on a nice walk, and then spends some time giving them a little cuddle. She also leaves a short note letting you know how things went. And she is very accommodating of last minute requests! Recently, a friend asked if I had a dog walker, b/c she saw a dog that looked EXACTLY like my dog. The funny part: in spite of the fact that this dog was identical to my dog, my friend wasn't sure the dog was being so good and not pulling. I need to get Dee Dee to teach me to get my dog to be as good for me!

Melissa was absolutely amazing and really turned our situation around with mine and my gf's new…read moredog. Background, we adopted a 6 year old basset hound with a some serious issues, including separation anxiety, not house broken and fear of men. He was quite afraid of me, had trust issues, and got really stressed when my gf wasn't around. I was frankly nearing my wit's end before we got referred to Melissa. In only a few sessions I really felt equipped with the necessary tools to make progress with my dog, despite being a notorious breed. There are no magic tricks, it took time, and we still have work to do, but Melissa kept us honest and consistent with the training, modifying it as needed. We felt we were an extreme case and in only a few months we've seen a remarkable improvement in his comfort level around me (stops shaking when I come near him!), and he doesn't freak out nearly as much when left home alone. She was also extremely flexible with our schedules and after each session provided great detailed notes we constantly referred to. Bark to Basics can do wonders for you and your furry friend! Can't recommend enough.
