The office managed to squeeze me in and seemed genuinely pleased that they were able to do so. Almost immediately after I arrived, I was introduced to Dr. Nguyen and her PA (?) who listened carefully and patiently to my concerns. After a through examination, Dr. Nguyen recommended and discussed with me a course of treatment. Then, she proceeded to treat my spots as well as others that she found during her examination. The entire experience was a welcomed, positive and pleasant reversal of what had been a very trying day. I've found my new dermatologist!

They barely glanced at my skin before dismissively telling me to use some over-the-counter cream - which they must have known wouldn't help. They made my appt with two male doctors, whom I don't remember the names of, and a newly hired female doctor for my final appointment. They just wanted my $20 copay to rush me out the door with their halfhearted 'Have a nice day.' What a waste of time and money! My current dermatologists, MDCS in Commack, are fantastic! They listen carefully, show genuine empathy, and offer thoughtful solutions to approach the problem. We have been patients of Dr. Glaser for many years and have brought him a variety of problems…read more I remember first visiting Dr. Glaser with fungus on my toe nails. While I was on the medication, he monitored me with blood tests. When an unusual blood platelet reading showed up, he immediately tried to determine if it was caused by the medication. My problem was not listed on the medicine's data sheet as a side effect. But because it could become a serious medical issue, Dr. Glaser called the manufacturer directly. They acknowledged that it was an uncommon and therefore unlisted side effect. He immediately terminated that treatment. Thanks to his insight and his conscientious nature, I was saved from future medical dangers. For years he has been treating sun damage spots on my head; biopsying them, freezing them, removing them, etc. When I needed specialized surgery or plastic surgery because of the nature or extent of cancer cells on my head, he has always sent me to excellent surgeons. He always followed up to make sure I was healing well. Two weeks ago a cluster of painful pimples appeared on my wife's back. The secretary fit us in for a same-day emergency visit. Dr. Glaser knew at a glance that it was a shingles outbreak. A prescription went right to our pharmacy and we left with complete instructions for its care. We have already had two follow-up contacts from Dr. Glaser. It's not just the big stuff he follows up on. I have dry skin on my legs because of bad circulation, so I get reminders to use a lotion on my legs. Anything that is of concern to us, is important to him. Something is always popping up. We are quite comfortable in calling for an emergency appointment. His office staff is very accommodating. We have an ongoing need for a great dermatologist and that is Dr. Glaser.

Two most important things to look for in a plastic surgeon:…read more1) A perfectionist 2) A sincere regard for the well-being of the patient Having a childhood friend who is a surgical nurse proved invaluable for me as there is no better way to find out who the best surgeons are than asking someone who actually works in the operating room with them. When I mentioned to her that I wanted a lipo procedure, she told me that there was only one surgeon to whom she would refer me - Dr. Peter Schwartz. At the hospital, she worked with many of the top surgeons in the area. She saw their work and how they regarded their patients. While there was one other surgeon who was also technically excellent, Dr. Schwartz was at a level that he and the others were unable to attain. Dr. Schwartz has an artistic eye that the others don't have thereby producing results that the others cannot replicate. He has techniques that he employs that the others do not. His results are unmatched. She also said that he is a perfectionist. You want that in a plastic surgeon. "Good enough" is NOT an option. Because he is a perfectionist, he expects the same from the surgical team that is in that room. Additionally, and probably most importantly, she told me that he is the only plastic surgeon she truly trusted because of his concern for his patients. I was extremely pleased with my lipo procedure - the results were beyond my expectations. Subsequently, he removed excess skin from above my eyes and tightened my neck. More recently, he performed a breast lift. After my lipo and breast lift procedures, he contacted me daily for several days to make certain there were no issues. I will not go to any other plastic surgeon.

You have to text repeatedly ..that right there just makes me nervous! That as well as the fact that Dr. Romero goes away for very long periods like a month at a time to his "farm" in the Philippines... Whatever that means and leaves his nephew who he says he trained personally and who is not a doctor nor a dermatologist nor an aesthetician to do his work. He did some work on my face and I was not at all pleased with the results. When I mentioned it to Dr. Romero he became completely standoffish. I had never made a complaint about anything in the entire time that I've been there and I gently described to him my issue and he told me that it was all in my head that from where he was standing it looked great. Well it did not look great and I'm not going to have somebody tell me that it's all in my head. Several other reviewers here have said the same thing about him for years now. He cannot stand one drop of criticism. If that were my customer I would not treat them the way that he has treated those of us who have brought up a concern about our treatment. Very unprofessional also very un compassionate. I now go to a board certified dermatologist and have never been happier. That is all.
