I was assaulted at work by a customer who came in to purchase a new phone. Despite having security footage of the incident, the customer's name, and multiple witnesses, the police have done nothing to address the situation. This experience has left me feeling embarrassed, disgusted, and unsupported. I had no previous interaction with the customer other than greeting her and saying hi. I wasn't even the one who did the transaction or set up her new phone that she bought as a replacement because she decided to go horseback riding on the beach, from what I was filled in on afterwards. My manager provided the police with security footage, the customer's name, and the details of the purchase, yet the police department has not taken action, stating there is not enough evidence. The footage clearly shows the customer taking a swing at my right buttocks, cupping it, and then running out of the store laughing and waving back inside the store. Despite this, the evidence seems to be insufficient for them to proceed. I feel unsafe in our community, and this needs to change. Is touching someone's private area while on camera, with their name known and verified by people at the place, not enough for action to be taken and held accountable? Is it not serious and more of a common thing in Boca Raton that the Police Department just sweeps it away, when someone innocently just trying to make ends meet deals with the negative impact? It makes me question and think that there are other people who have gone through things just like me, and it is treated not seriously and more of a common thing that the Boca Raton Police Department just decides to sweep under the rug, letting the victim and innocent worker pay the price while the aggressor goes about as if nothing happened. Absolutely saddening and gross how unhelpful and unwilling to help the Boca Raton Police Department is!

Broward County Sheriff should be ashamed of themselves. They…read morearrested a man named Gilberto Torres Arriaga -- homeless, with nowhere to sleep -- just for trying to find a place to rest. They called it burglary, but what it really was... was a man looking for shelter from the cold world outside. Instead of compassion, they gave him charges. Instead of help, they gave him handcuffs. No one stopped to see that he's struggling with mental health. No one cared that he's homeless, hungry, and lost. What a disgrace. I used to be homeless myself. I remember when things were different -- when officers tried to help you, when they'd take you to a shelter instead of a cell. Places like Broward Outreach, Faith Farm, and House of Hope were created to lift people up, to help rebuild lives. But now... it feels like the system is more focused on destroying lives than saving them. It's heartbreaking. We live in a world that turns its back on the broken -- that punishes people for being lost instead of guiding them home. This man didn't need jail. He needed love. He needed someone to see his pain, not his charges. He needed help, not handcuffs. To everyone out there struggling -- I see you. I've been there. I know the pain of being forgotten by the system. But don't lose hope. God still sees you, even when the world looks away. What a disgraceI am so disappointed.I was there too at one point and did not get treated. So well either I completely understand this brother.

Today, I caught someone in the act and asked for the police to come out and take a report. These "officers" actually had the audacity to tell me it was perfectly "normal" for strangers to be taking pictures of my house, and to then speed off if someone comes out to ask what they're doing. If it is so normal, why have I never had this issue before March, and I've been living here for 5 years? Why speed away? Oh, and they somehow want me to obtain a license plate number while also staying inside my house, because if I come out, that means I'm not in fear of my safety. The hoops these rejects will jump through just to protect their own (i have a suspicion of who is behind this and it is an LEO), and to avoid police work is astonishing. Citizen safety comes second to shielding officers from accountability, apparently. Insane. I also like how they don't allow citizens to post reviews on Google maps. Wonder how much of our tax payer money is going toward infringing our 1st amendment rights for the benefit of BCSO.

I was struck repeatedly while I was on the phone with U-Haul, seeking a replacement after the mover refused to complete a job that was fully prepaid. I calmly informed him multiple times (approximately 4-6 times) that there was no issue between us, and that if he would not perform the work, he could simply leave and I would arrange for another provider. While I was still on the phone with U-Haul, the mover suddenly punched me in the face--including my right ear and nose--and forcibly snatched a gold chain cross from my neck. This left me with bleeding scratch marks and multiple injuries. I have pictures of him holding my gold cross and chain. My wife recorded video evidence of the assault while I was on the phone, and we also took photos showing that I was on the phone when he repeatedly struck, the visible wounds, and the perpetrator holding my stolen gold cross and chain. I called the Delray Beach police when officers arrived, they appeared to be intimidated by the perpetrator, I later found out that he has prior criminal records for assaulting a police officer. They appeared to me as incompetent and inexperienced. They saw cuts and scratches on my face and neck. I also showed them pictures of the perp holding my gold cross and chain which he violently snatched from my neck causing bleeding wounds. They appeared somehow intimidated by the aggressor. One officer was mocking me and my wife while I was sitting on the floor dizzy and bleeding. He called me a liar! When I asked for a supervisor, I found out that one was standing on the side being passive. When I asked for his help, the young sarcastic officer was disrespecting the surgent and answering for him and talking over him. When I pointed this out to the surgent he yelled at the officer and asked him to move back away from the scene. But then the surgent said that I "just lost a fight". Between an old man and a young criminal with prior assault records on a police officer. They even advised the mover that he could press charges against me if I chose to file charges against him, and the mover requested the police to ask me not to press charges. Despite my injuries, the police declined to arrest or charge him at the scene, stating that the matter would be referred to the State Attorney's Office. I provided photos as evidence to the police investigation unit, and they also documented my wounds. Immediately after the incident, I sought medical attention at the emergency room, where my injuries and concussion were treated and reported. The police, showing apparent bias, warned me that the video evidence could be interpreted as me attempting to punch the assailant. Sadly, the Delray Beach Police failed to protect an old man after being physically assaulted and injured by a young perpetrator ith prior criminal records for assualting a police officer. The only and one thing they supposedly pride themselves for is to "Serve and Protect" they failed to provide. Is not this what we pay taxes and pay their salary for?

When the officer arrived I showed them 5 frivolous cease and desist letters for the HOA and proof they used the city code enforcement to also harass my mother with letters from code enforcement. This has taken place over the past year . The police officer told me it's civil and not criminal which isn't true because I explained clearly where the threshold was crossed and when an HOa uses force , intimidation and legal threats to coerce someone into doing what they say that's illegal. Nevertheless officer Washington a very nice person told me that HOA's are excempt which is not true. Can HOA's rape or commit murder without recourse ? Of course they cant't , than she called her supervisor who explained to me since his HOA cost him thousands and he lost his issue , I'm wrong and the HOa is right. He was a Sargent and when I tried to explain my situation he wouldn't hear what I was saying and just kept saying , that I have proof the hoa was acting on another residents behalf in acting aggressively by sending frivolous cease and desist letters to my mother who is In her final days. Not only would they not help a disabled senior they wouldn't even fill out a police report. Completely unprofessional conduct and not helping seniors whom are protected under the federal fair housing act is a disgrace. Florida follows the federal fair housing act. I am writing to Gov Desantis and filing a complaint with several federal agencies and I'll just sue Delray Beach for federal Civil rights violations. I explained to the officer why the letters were frivolous which means they have no merit or legal standing but it was like trying to explain chess to checkers players. Yes I used AI to find the correct statutes in Florida and showed them to the officer upon hearing AI she froze up like a murder suspect caught in the act. AI is the greatest inevention of our lifetime and used it to write legal documents and HUD complaints. Don't hate on me because I'm using the greatest invention of our lifetime to date. AI has all the answers to whatever your looking for. I advise anyone and everyone to fight your hoa and do not cave in. Florida needs to do more to protect citizens from hoa.
