Walking into the office you will immediately fell the warmth and care from the in-take staff. The lobby is clean and always well organized. Next, as you enter the care bay, you will once again see the high quality of cleanliness and organization. Their equipment are modern and the staff is very knowledgeable. My hygienist is very skillful and caring. She takes the time to listen to my concerns and always willing to provide excellent guidance. After my cleaning session, my teeth always feel clean. And she sends me away equip with the skills and knowledge to continue caring for my dental hygiene. The support staff always reach out with reminders about upcoming appointments and are always willing to accommodate changes to fit busy schedules. I highly recommend this office for your dental care.

To be honest my teeth weren't in great condition. I went into the Millsboro office and was greeted…read moreby a super nice and friendly assistant. Not sure she was at all confident in her position there, as she seemed a bit hesitant to get things going, more friendly chit chat. Time for scan of my mouth, and she couldn't get it to work. She tried over and over with no avail and was super apologetic, but obviously she had no idea what she was doing with the scanner, she just knew to stand me in front of it and push a button. She was almost in panic mode when someone walked by and she said she needed help. Their response was, "Oh, it's broken, they are supposed to fix it soon." So back to the chair we went where she fiddled with my mouth. After a bit she went and checked and they said the scanner was fixed, so I went and had that done. Eventually this female dentist came in and looked in my mouth, she never so much as touched me and then looked at the scan and other info they had on me and she said there wasn't anything she could do for me, that I should go get my teeth extracted and come back and she'd give me dentures! WTH? She told me to make an appointment with an oral surgeon now because it takes a long time to get an appointment. She got up and left. She wasn't with me for more than 5 minutes! She never discussed any concerns I had, she just left me hanging. Who ever said I wanted my teeth pulled and not repaired? Who said I would want dentures? Other options? I thought she must be having a really bad day! This cost me $350! I left there thinking what the hell just happened? Believe me when I say I was sure I would NEVER be returning to that office! I had just been robbed for $350! Incompetent, but lovely assistant, broken down equipment and the WORST exam I've ever had! Is this is so unacceptable! I'm giving this office a -10! Sussex county is known for their extremely expensive, can't get an appointment dentists, and I strongly say do yourself a favor and drive north.

This is the type of service when I wish I could add MORE stars!…read more I have undergone many (sadly, too many) gum procedures in the last 5 years with multiple periodontists and NONE of them the even came close to Dr. Sierakowski's professionalism, friendliness, and technique. In fact, Dr. Sierakowski recently performed a procedure on an area I've had to do 3 times already (ugh!) and this is by far the most confident I have been in a successful outcome. Most of the procedures I've experienced before left me spitting blood for about 48 hours, not being able to speak, major swelling, and let's not go into my severe hangry phases from not being able to physically eat! However, Dr. Sierakowski's procedure was clean and virtually painless - I kid you not, no pain killers needed!! I'm not saying that's the case for everyone, but I think it speaks highly of his skillset! The entire staff is friendly and focused on your well-being. The atmosphere within his office reflects one where everyone seems to get along and wants to help each other. They are quick to respond, always smiling, and deserve every single star a review can give.

When cleaning his teeth you dislodged a crown and never did any dental interventions. The tooth was exposed for several months. He finally went to your office , with a swollen face, terrible tooth pain... While you performed a dental exam, you made comment. "What happen to the crown." With prompting you gave him a Antibiotic, no Pain med intervention, and a dentist recommendation. It appeared like you could not be bothered. No worries. We found another Dentist ( Not the one you recommended) that hopefully takes the time and repairs the damaged tooth that you caused in the first place. We will never be back to your practice ever again.

She was very calm, thorough, and professional when explaining my procedure and what to expect. She left a lot of room open for questions during my consult, before and after my appointment. During my procedure, Dr. Gilberg and her hygienist that was assisting, made it as worry-free as possible. I was able to wear headphones and they even tapped on my shoulder during the numbing process to distract me-which I thought was a unique and thoughtful gesture. Dr. Gilberg also makes herself available for any questions or concerns post-procedure. The office itself was also fantastic. All of the staff-the hygienists and desk staff were all friendly and welcoming.

Dr. Kubikian has great credentials, experience and also really treats you like a human being (not just another paying patient in a chair to bill). When asked, he will re-explain procedures & options if you have questions or concerns. I've been to a lot of dentists, specialists & sadly some hacks in the past 20 years (sigh), and I'd definitely recommend this practice for any periodontal or implant procedures. I do have a regular dentist for cleanings & checkups, but SJ Periodontics is where I go when I have gum or implants issues. Not a fun time... but it's better than a bad procedure!

My initial impression of this practice was very high. I really like Dr Di Umoh's caring manner. I…read morehad gum surgery twice. The first was osseous surgery, which went well. My only issue was the heavy meds they prescribe as a matter of course. Another friend mentioned that too. I did not need the oxy pills and I never intended to take them, which I did not. The second time, I had gum grafting done. Again, during the surgery, Dr Di was very caring and professional. My follow up appointment was about six weeks later, and I still was having lots of discomfort and had another adjacent tooth that was numb. That was a very difficult appointment, not because of the doctor, but because of rough handling by the two assistants. I also have never regained normal feeling in the roof of my mouth (the donor tissue site), and it has now been over two years. I was told after the surgery it might take up to a year a year for the nerves to heal. I wish there had been more review of possible complications and negative potential outcomes before surgery. I don't recall seeing an informed consent form or discussing that with anyone on the team.

I had a tooth where the crown came off probably ten+ years ago and after many attempts to glue it back in place, finally it came out and was out for probably seven or so years, during which it became infected periodically, but I did not have it extracted, as I was advised many times over the years. Fast forward, my wife and I moved to the Annapolis area a few years ago and we had to find all new doctors. Dr. Miele was recommended to my wife to do a complex procedure that should have been quite painful, but my wife told me that Dr. Miele performed magic, as her procedure was painless and perfect. Dr. Miele sets the bar to the top as an incredibly warm, compassionate and extremely professional doctor. I think the warm and compassionate traits are somewhat rare in the medical field, my wife and I are truly lucky to have found Dr. Miele. Now, to my procedure, magic! Yep, that's about all I can say. It was the second to the back, top tooth, close to my sinus and tricky to extract without any complications. Dr. Miele, again, demonstrated warmth and compassion, while being a top doctor in her field. These are a lot of words to say that my wife and I recommend Dr. Miele, if we could give 15 out of 10 starts we would. Now, all this being said, the office staff mimics Dr. Miele, they are easily one of the best teams we have ever met. We would also give the entire office 15 out of 10 stars.

Horrendous experience with Office Manager Marjorie, one of the least professional, rudest office…read moreworkers/people. She displayed a huge lack of curtesy, unacceptable behavior, and provided misinformation. She constantly interrupted, overspoke and hung the phone up multiple times while I was speaking. This is by far the worst person to encounter. Dr Waasdorp may be a good periodontist but she is a nasty, rude verbally abusive person. No one should have to deal with her poor service. In November last winter, even before going for a consult in January, the insurance broker and I had to place multiple calls and emails to her which were not returned on timely basis. She showed a great lack of understanding about the particular plan. No price quote was given to me in advance of my consult and she did not request pre-approval. The fax was broken the day of my consult; M said she was sending in for pre-approval for work by mail. In checking with her week after week, I was told it was mailed on varying days- she said she would check with a supervisor more than a month later and then told me she had not made that call. 7 weeks went by and still the insurance co did not receive a proper request for work pre-approval from her. I told the Dr I never wanted to deal with her and yet she called me again, only to hang up on me when she didn't like that I said nicely he was the only one who could help. Again, she made this into a horrible experience.

Stephanie and Marjorie from billing and the front desk are absolutely unprofessional and ignorant. They sent over the pre autherization to the insurance which covered nothing so we decided to change my dads insurance and change the plan. In march the insurance company called the office and spoke to stephanie asking her to resubmit the authorization so they can approve it and the services would then be covered at 50 percent. Meanwhile Marjorie from billing called us she would not speak to me i tried to explain that my father is hard of hearing and he was right there giving concent. She was very ignorant and we told her we would look for another provider and her answer was good and hung up on us. Fastforward to 4/22 my father went in for his scaling and asked what he would be expected of him to pay. They told him 5,000 he told them that the insurance company was going to pay half. They never resubmitted the pre autherization so the ins would cover it. I deal with the insurance company and his drs and he told them right to thier face he wanted to verbalize that i was allowed to talk on his behalf they still gave him an issue he was told he had to go home write a letter submit a drivers license and all this other nonsense if he wanted me to be able to talk to them. This wasnt heart surgery this was to discuss insurance and treatment. Stephanie said it was marjories discretion to not speak with me and to make a huge deal out of the situation. So today 4/23 i called the insurance company and they verified again the services would be covered at 50 percent i asked the insurance provider if he could call the office and find out what was going on. He spoke to Stephanie he told her that they needed to re submit the preauthorization and she claimed they already did. He told her since then he changed his insurance and the one they have received was in January before the new insurance she was rude to the insurance provider and proceeded to hang up on him! They are not trying to hear what you are saying or try to help! The insurance provider then got back on the line with me and told me they are rude unprofessional and seeking a new provider would be in our best interest. They don't want to do their job, this is how they treat a new patient. The hygienist and dr were very nice but it starts with the front desk we will not be returning to this office! we are blown away with how this whole situation was treated they love to hang the phone up when there is something they dont want to hear or something they have to do ! If they would have been willing to do their job and help in the first place this all could have been avoided! It's a shame the reviews I have read have described the same things as far as Stephanie and Marjorie and their ignorance! If you want to be treated with respect and like a human, this is not the place to go! This has been a nightmare since dealing with them!
