One of our biggest challenges we faced was the responsibility to sell the family home. We live in Northern Arizona, and our parents home was in the West Valley ( Westbrook Village) Jen Johansen was recommended by our neighbor who knew Jen. From the first phone call though the process of so many questions and concerns, Jen was always available to answer our calls. Jen worked with the company we had hired to do an Estate Sale, going as far as listing the estate sell on her Home Smart Page to help with the advertising. Jen and one of her friends went over after the sell, and cleaned and staged the home with the furniture items that were still there. Fresh Flowers greeted each potential home buyer. She went as far to find out how many grandchildren our folks had? I viewed the property, loved it, and applied. I was told the listing would be removed which it wasn't. I didn't see this as a big deal since I hadn't signed a lease yet. Fast forward to a week later, I have been completely ghosted. I have constantly had to hound the realtors for responses and updates. I was told yesterday I would be sent a lease to sign, but once again I didn't receive it. I reached out to the woman I was working with as well as her partner today, and still no response. This has been such a disappointing experience, bringing me nearly to tears as I wrote this review. I lost out on other properties waiting and waiting for responses from this company and believing their promises. For this reason, I would caution any prospective renters before applying to any properties managed by Basin.

So, I want to acknowledge good PMs like Market Edge Realty. There are many good things about Jennie and her team aka Market Edge Realty. However, the reason why I'm writing this review is that I feel they care about a landlord's situation and not just the money they would make from this landlord. I requested Jennie to take over managing my duplex over a year ago. That time, a tenant without hardship was taking advantage of the eviction moratorium while trashing my property too. I lost a LOT of money (income and savings) due to this. Jennie and her attorney took care of the eviction the best way they can. Even more important, Jennie's team negotiated with other service providers working on my property; so, I did not have to let go of more savings. The service providers waited until my duplex started earning income again and that's the time they got paid. Also, Jennie's team sent me info on Landlord relief from AZ Realtors. Just to clarify for other landlords, the government run out of money, so, I did not get help from government at all. I mentioned this to point out, I felt Jennie's team really wanted to help me. As I said, there are many other good points for Market Edge Realty, but my review is already long.

As much as i loved the place, I couldn't help but notice the reviews, so I did my research (I was scammed before due to lack of knowledge, so Im always prepared for red flags). Everything is automated. Self tour, texting, phone call, you name it. It's extremely important to meet these people in person or at least have a 1 on 1 phone call. I tried calling to set up a meet & of course.. it was automated. Sent me straight to texting & when I asked to get a call, Ms. Jennie responds "I am pretty much 100% by text." Instant red flag, especially considering she had just got off the phone with my fiance that lasted less than 30 seconds because she apparently had a lot of properties to tend to. I found it odd, considering she had time to text but couldn't talk. I took this as my sign to move on as all the reviews here proved to be true. Sad way to do business, when you could get so much further doing things the honest way.
