I have a pretty deep phobia of the dentist from major dental trauma as a kid. I have a pattern of not going for years when I have to change dentists. After many many months of research and putting it off I finally called Dr. Falvey's office. From start to finish it was the best dental experience I have every had. Everyone was extremely kind, calm and patient, including the receptionist, the hygienist and Dr. Falvey. There was no judgement and lots of listening and understanding of how my phobia developed. Michelle, the hygienist was gentle, regularly checked in with me and told me I could use nitrous if needed. I never actually needed it! Dr. Falvey came up with a treatment plan that incorporated my phobia and changing my pattern of going from deep cleaning to deep cleaning. The receptionist encouraged me on the way in for having made it to the appointment and on the way out for making my next one. The first visit with x-rays was pricey but for me its worth the extra cost to actually go, have a positive experience and avoid more expensive problems later. Follow up visit prices seem pretty in-line with other dentists. If you are fearful of the dentist this is the place for you. read more

I wanted to just come on here and write a quick review, I personally have never been to this office but I have been calling all dentist offices from grass valley to roseville in total about 20 offices and Shari at this office was first kind and welcoming. She is the only person out of all these dentist offices that I have called that gave me information and advice on what I needed and gave me direction to find what I am looking for. Dr. Falvey is where you go when you want the absolute best treatment. For years, I couldn't afford dental care. I endured a lot loss and there's a bunch of grief and sadness around that. I'm working on repairing years of damage and neglect, and Dr. Falvey is patient with my emotions and is working with my overarching plan and desire for the future of my teeth. His office has all the latest bells and whistles. Sometimes, the technology is a bit beyond the good doctor himself (I speak here about the panoramic x-ray machine), but he always figures it out, ha ha! I really do enjoy the folks at the office; they're easy-going but extraordinarily professional. I've never waited more than a few minutes for an appointment, and the receptionist is always willing to talk to me about insurance issues, etc. Dr. Falvey inspires utter and complete trust. There's no way to be completely sure about something like this (time will tell, I guess), but his work inspires the kind of confidence you get from being in the hands of a highly-skilled expert. It's the Mercedes Benz of dentistry. If you're looking for a bargain-basement used car dealership type of dentist, you may need to look elsewhere. ;) read more

Let's just say I have had a lot of dental work due to an accident. Dr Falvey is hands down one of the best dentists I have ever been to. He has a soft touch, which is nice when you are getting a shot in the gums, and is extremely good at his craft. Went to Dr. Falvey because of the rave reviews and I was not disappointed. Had my front teeth capped/bonded, not sure what the exact term is, and they turned out perfect. It was such an improvement from my teeth that were turning grey. Very satisfied. read more

Dr Falvey completely helped me out with very little notice and in a time crunch emergency. I am so very grateful for his care and so impressed with his awareness of the overall picture, he and his staff reacted instantaneously to make a plan to help me. I have braces , and knocked one of the metal brackets loose off one tooth late afternoon. To my dismay all of the orthodontists were closed already, for the weekend and some were away on Summer Vacation. To make me more stressed I was Graduating from Junior High School in 3 hours ! He managed to see me within the hour despite have a full schedule. Dr. Falvey is not an Orthodontist, but his dental expertise and professionalism allowed him to assess the problem and fix my brace emergency while remaining calm and at all times reassuring me. Dr. Falvey is the best! If you want someone that is honest, caring, and ready/willing to do the right thing for each and every patient he is your dentist. He is always learning and expanding his knowledge to further his education to assist his patients needs. I highly recommend him hands down! I do have to add that he has done 3crowns and two root canals for me and usually I have major anxiety. W/dr Falvey that anxiety fated into the past. I'm really grateful I found Dr. Falvey. As someone with dentist anxiety and some minor fear, he is the perfect choice for me. His "bedside" manner was wonderful, the staff was very helpful, kind, cheerful, and completely assuaged my fears allowing me listen to music while they took the measurements and took notes on the details of my case. My hygienist was also wonderful, gave me some instructions for improving my form while brushing. She was very knowledgeable and responsive when telling her if things were uncomfortable. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He has equipment that I didn't even know existed yet, like this x-ray machine. You stand up and it circles around your mouth and takes a full set of x-rays. He is board certified in implant dentistry and some other aspect of dentistry (I forget what). Unlike other dentists I've had, he explains what he is doing (and why) as he works on your teeth. We recently called on Dr. Falvey when our son broke his tooth diving into our swimming pool. We were acquainted with Dr. Falvey and called him on his day off at the recommendation of a friend. Dr. Falvey met us at his office, which was closed at the time, and proceeded to prepare for a tooth repair. Dr. Falvey was thoughtful about the repair, took his time to do a very professional job and charged us far less than I had anticipated given the circumstances.
