Wow has anyone tried to make an appointment with KOC. I started off with their AI trying to make…read morean appt and ended up arguing with her! After hassling with this for about 20 minutes AI routed me to a a person - which meant putting me on hold for a long time and then telling me to leave my number and they will call me back!!! WHAT!! But I finally got a call back from a real person and attempted to make an appointment with a PA. I got an appointment for July (this is March). So guess I have to suffer for a few months or try to go somewhere else. The Drs there are great ...I've had knee surgery and had the best care from their Drs but there's improvement needed in the system of making appointments and long wait times for seeing someone. I don't dislike AI but this could have been better. Also we should be able to see a health care provider sooner than 5 months.

I spent 2 hours yesterday talking to a machine that refused to put me in contact with a human…read more Another hour today with same outcome I am in a lot of pain and really need a speciallast to look at what's causing it it's been ongoing for over a month and has gotten to the point I am ready to remove my own leg. I find it extremely frustrating that a facility as large as Knoxville orthpedic is that they cannot afford to pay atleast one person to answer a damn telephone. It should not be this difficult To schedule a Dr appointment and the fact that they make someone that's already In misery suffer thru even more unnecessary misery very unprofessional. only reason they got one star is because that's the lowest option. I hope they all get shut down.

I had a surgery in October of 2022 at Tennessee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC). Five months post surgery…read moremy figure started to become disfigured, and today I can't even put my right hand into my pocket because the finger is bent/ disfigured. They have refused to see me, answer my emails, answer questions on my patient portal, or return calls. TOC's reason for not wanting to help? I owe them money. My insurance company paid $16,449.53, I paid $1,219.13 (10/20/22) before the surgery took place, and have made multiple smaller payments on the account since. I even went in and spoke to someone, offered to pay cash to have my finger looked at, and they declined to see me. Feel free to look at my other reviews. I HATE leaving a bad review for anyone. I have a right hand that's barely functional without an enormous amount of pain, and negative reports on my credit, all for a surgery that was suppose to fix my broken finger, not make it worse. The images of the bent finger are from 3.25.2024, and I cannot straighten it. Patient Portal picture is multiple emails sent with NO response. Pictures with stitches were post op.

Saw PA about hip pain. Took X-ray. Never touched me and said I needed hip replaced. Scheduled…read moreand I sought second opinion. Went to another ortho and not the hip. Back injury radiating down the leg. Hip perfect. Doing PT and back injection. No surgery. Glad I got second opinion. Whoever reads might as well.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The Dr explained everything thoroughly and answered all my…read morequestions. The only drawback was a long wait time. The receptionist said it was an unusually busy day and recommended other slower days with less wait times to make appointments.

I really want to love this practice. I've had multiple joint issues treated here, including a…read moresuccessful ankle surgery in 2019, and at that time the care and follow-up access were excellent. Unfortunately, my more recent experiences have been extremely disappointing. Last year, while being treated for two broken pinkies, the X-ray manipulation was very painful and, in my opinion, premature. I now have permanently bent pinkies and deeply regret not declining those X-rays. Four weeks ago, I had foot surgery here. The surgery center's billing department was frustrating to work with and provided inconsistent information about what could and couldn't be billed together. On the day of surgery, patients were asked to arrive very early only to wait over an hour. After providing a urine sample, I was left standing in the hallway while staff walked past without assistance until I sought help myself. Most concerning is the lack of post-operative support. This past week I've experienced severe pain around the surgical screws and have been unable to reach a live person despite multiple messages. After paying over $10,000 for this procedure, the fact that I may need to go to the ER because I can't get a callback is unacceptable. Based on my recent experiences, I cannot recommend this practice.
