The office sent me all he papers to fill out ahead of time and i took 20 minutes to do that. On the day of my 10:15 am appointment I arrived at 10 am as they told me to come 15 minutes ahead of time. I walked in and no one greeted me. There was a staffer behind the window but she never said a word to me. I stood there for a minute but it didn't look like I was going to be told what to do. So I sat in one of their chairs in the waiting room. And I sat. After 49 minutes ( I timed it) someone came out and asked me my name. She had a mask on! I'm hard of hearing and I asked her to repeat the questions and she pulled down the mask. She said they would be with me shortly. I walked over to the staffer at the counter and said, "I'm Tom *******. I don't think this is the place for me. I'm leaving." When I got home there was a message on my landline. Already in the reception area he approached my husband in an aggressive and defiant manner to get him to leave the office, when he was requesting a refund of our co-payment since he did not perform any evaluation. It was a very tense moment. The worst of all is that when I look at the notes written by him in my record, he had written about tests that he never performed, arriving at a medical and psychiatric diagnosis about me. Ear still bothered me, but because he didn't see any fluid, said it was fine. I said my other ear also bothered me some, but he blamed it on TMJ. Did some rudimentary hearing testing and said it was fine. I felt like his practice was stuck in the 1950s, and he failed to give me proper treatment as a result. Ended up having to go to a different ENT, who was excellent. Gave me antibiotics and steroids to try to solve the problem. When that didn't work, put tubes in both ears to drain the fluid. This is the best my ears have been in ages.

What a blessing!…read more He was able to pull up the CT scan from 2 years ago and went over it, with me, slide by slide, explaining all the bits and pieces, then threaded a scope down Hubster's throat (via his nose, by the way...bypasses gag reflex that way) and he let me see all the cysts that were on Hubster's tongue! Way cool!! I love when doctors explain things in a way that I understand, but, at the same time, don't make me feel stupid. He gave us both medical and "non-medical" solutions (raise your bed, watch your diet, and, here's a temporary pill to get you started until everything else kicks in.) I'm a huge fan, and while, yes, I hope this has solved our issue and we won't have to return, I heartily endorse Dr. Blake's " bedside manner" and have no reservations recommending him to anyone else who needs an ENT! I stayed in the office for four hours while they gave me a full panel of tests to check on my allergies (food, outdoor, and indoor environments) and a lung test for my asthma. I was very impressed with their services. They were caring and helpful and explained the next steps to me on how I can improve my surroundings to avoid further allergy attacks. Based on my experience and conversations with others, this office does not appear to be well equipped to work with patients whose needs require additional understanding, flexibility, or support. What should have been a healthcare experience became unnecessarily stressful. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion--especially when they are already dealing with complex medical issues.
