Dr. Meyerson is very pleasant Doctor. We have previously worked on my family member; when he was an adolescent However, in current day, his staff is less than desirable. We went to go see Dr. Meyerson and we had to go see him twice for the very same thing. First time -we went when we finished the visit with Dr. Meyerson -We were told to go to the front desk . They let us know the surgical coordinator would have to contact us to schedule the appointment for the surgical procedure. We were never called; months later we called to see after several. I mean several, several calls we were told that we had to come back to be seen by Dr. Meyerson and spend extra money to repeat the same process. Then we waited again. I was referred to his office in Carrollwood, Fl ( North Dale Mabry Hwy ) by my GP for blockage/fluid in my inner ear causing hearing loss. Met with one of his associates, Brittany Villa, and explained my condition. She checked and saw nothing wrong and her suggestion was to pinch my nose and breathe out of mouth and to keep doing that and it should help. Then suggested a second appointment for a hearing test which would still not solve my problem. Against my better judgement, I made the appointment but cancelled it. Just avoid them at all costs! I just wanna say that Dr. Meyerson is one of the best I've been to. I had a situation that nobody could cure and nobody realized and I was misdiagnosed for a year and a half so I went to doctor Meyerson to get help to find out what the problem is, not a symptom to be pacified . He did the balloon surgery on me and cured my problem but also found what was causing my problem which was Mersa in my sinus canal caused from dental problems that weren't handled correctly. I'm so thankful that this was taken care of I could've died having Mersa is no joke in your sinuses and in your oral dental areas. read more

This is a "tragic" review, indeed! For over 3 years, I was a patient Of Lance Meyerson; he even performed a biopsy on my throat....and referred me to Moffit Cancer Center. Now, two years later, his practice has left my insurance network; but I'm usually successful in getting out of network specialists to be covered. Just like I did with Meyerson. At "one time," I respected his medical opinion and respected him as a doctor and a person. That time has passed! Desperately seeking definitive answers concerning my throat...I cleared an office visit through insurance company...which was granted next day. FMC staff called to tell me I'd have to pay cash due to being out of my network....or they were going to cancel my appointment. To which I "heatedly" repeated I had insurance clearance; the woman on the phone argued and contradicted me numerous times....escalating into me cursing and disconnecting. I went and got a PRINTED insurance waiver and clearance....and stopped by one of his offices; however...once again "under-trained" staff "incorrectly" disputed my insurance paying for visit!!! NOW I'M EXTREMELY AGITATED...this is "my health" and potentially "my life" we're dealing with---and all these talking head office staff can do is argue and dispute the insurance OK they now were in possession of! ****FOR GOD'S SAKE****What about the "Hypocritical Oath" doctors take to "CARE" for their patients? REceived a call later in the evening from office coordinator who referred me to a different practice...and basically told me the only way to be seen was me paying cash.....which heated up to breaking point where I was "discharged" from care??? ****WHAT CARE?**** Couldn't use insurance; couldn't get "supposed" expert opinion from Meyerson? Though the doctor is slightly talented, his office staff is atrocious. Be prepared for bait and switch billing. Be prepared for double dipping billing. Be prepared to pay a copay and months later receive a collections notice for an paid deductible. I called to confirm the cost of care twice before my appointment. They must have pretended to place me on hold and confirm because the day of my procedure, I was told additional payment was due. They purposefully wait until you're there, in pain seeking help and then try to milk you for an ancillary fee. Any Dr. that can't build a successful practice off of their skill and has to resort to scam tactics in order to have a "business" is not a doctor you want performing any type of procedure on your body read more

Everything was explained to me very clearly, which I appreciated since I had to do more testing elsewhere. He's been caring for my mother for years. He and his staff are the most professional, amazing staff I've ever met. I cannot rave enough about his tenderness, attention to detail and follow up. Dr Meyerson is by far the worst doctors I have been to in years. Between his rude staff, ridiculous wait times and unethical decision making, I would choose any other doctor. He is a scammer. He will try to get your money any possible way. He will complete procedures in the office without notification and send you a bill in the mail. And then refuse to speak with his patients about any concerns they have. He is short with his patients and clearly his number one goal is to get money. I got a second opinion and the other dr said his decisions were unethical and working the system. Please find another ent. Florida medical is great, but he is a disgrace to the team. read more

Patients Beware: Make sure you ask for a copy of your test results. In 2011 Dr. Meyerson neglected to inform me of my MRI results. I was diagnosed with a schwannoma brain tumor. At my follow up visit I was never told of my condition instead I was told I should consider a hearing aid due to my hearing loss...It wasn't until 2016 after experiencing total hearing loss in my right that I was informed by my neurologist about my schwannoma brain tumor. It was my neurologist who discovered my diagnosis from 2011. I am grateful that I now have a competent doctor... Radiation treatment was delayed due to Dr. Meyerson's incompetence. Dr. Meyerson is a disgrace to the medical profession. read more

The following are facts related to my experience with Dr. Lance Meyerson, aka the Balloon Doctor. 1st appt-endoscopy by ARNP, discussion of different treatment methods, and scheduling of CT scan. Received call from scheduling to set up balloon procedure. No consultation with doctor or review of CT scan with me. I questioned the process, was told there was no need for a consultation. 2nd appt-pre-op. ARNP gave pre-op instructions. Did not meet the doctor nor was the CT scan reviewed. 3rd appt-day of procedure. Met Dr. Meyerson. He begins procedure but the pre-op meds do little to relax me. I am in pain, and he is notably agitated, stating that I am one of the 1 in 500 cases that this does not work for. He ends up cutting the procedure short due to my discomfort and his claim that I have too much "hard bone." Less than half the procedure was completed. It seems to me that a review of the CT scan would have shown the "hard bone" issue and we could have both avoided the frustration. I return for follow ups to complete the partial procedure. When I go to make a payment, I'm told that I have a credit of $700+. For the next four months, I continue to call about my refund. I am continually told that the insurance company has not paid. My insurance company informs me that the claim was paid out in November. Review of EOB show a credit of 2k. I place a call in January to their office and I am told that the check was requested, and I should receive it in a few weeks. I call back a month later, I discuss the amount of refund I should have received, and I am told the check was cut on 2/11. I received a check the next day for $15.39. Based on what I can tell from my claims, they keep submitting claims and getting denied since they have received payment from the insurance company. They changed the billing code on the last submission to reflect a diagnosis that I do not have. In all this time, they've held on to my money. I will never seek medical treatment at any Florida Medical Clinic, nor will I ever go back to the "Balloon Doctor". In my opinion, the Balloon Doctor is a procedure mill, and their billing practices support the idea that they are driven by the bottom line and not patient care. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. He's been kind of pushy and rude every time I've taken my son to see him. He interrupts and is very demeaning. But so are a lot of surgeons, so I've put up with it. However today I waited an hour for my kid to see him, just so he could yell at me like deranged teenager. I understand that medical offices get backed up due to emergencies, and that was the case today. On top of that, I was under impression (for several reasons) that our appt slot was also double booked. I was pretty tolerant of the hold up, and wanted to casually offer feedback that in the case of a double booking they should consider priorizing the child. A child is far less equipped to wait an hour than a grown adult with a book and a smartphone. But whatever. Smile and nod, that's all you have to do. Instead, Dr. Meyerson started YELLING at me. I was so taken aback I said nothing. Also, best not to argue with people who are obviously unbalanced (if only temporarily). He spent more time yelling at me about how I get no opinion and have no possible comprehension of their workflow than he did examining my son and doing his job. It was like he had a psychotic break. At least I hope he did... I shudder to think if that's how he always treats staff and patients. Get a grip, doctor. Maybe you had a bad day, but you still need to be a professional like the rest of us. read more

I have been in constant pain and hearing loss. This Dr was a preferred provider per my insurance so I made an appointment, at which time I asked for their address The lady I spoke with gave me 2020 Bruce B Downs. I put it in my GPS and started out for my appointment. After driving around for well over 40 minutes trying to find the place, I called and explained how I couldn't find them and that I was in tears. She told me that I have now lost my appointment and will have to reschedule to next week. They had moved and that wasn't even their address. Making it sound like it was all my fault.
