Hello, A few months ago my dentist told me that I needed a deep cleaning fter doing standard cleaning. This dentist is in my network, Cigna Dental. I asked a few people and a friend of a friend told me not to use him. The bottom line, I went in for one service, he commented on how great of an insurance I have. I get a letter from Cigna saying my claim is delayed. The service listed on the letter was bone surgery, not deep cleaning. I didn't need it, wasn't told about it and didn't ask for it, to me that's fraud, just to get more $ from my insurance carrier. This service was $6k, my portion was paid in full. Now since I didn't listen, I lost hundreds of dollars. read more

I had Doctor Campbell more than 20 years ago and I'm still suffering for his mistake. I've been here. During a routine deep cleaning, he tore away Unnecessary gum tissue from around my motors. He seemed to be preoccupied with the fact that he had service several black entertainers,( Name dropping), the fact that he had graduated of USC and I was from Texas. I would never return to him nor would I ever recommend. I wish I had got some of that entertainment treatment.. read more

Dr.Campbell is pleasant and an amazing dentist. If only the business practices matched the skill. I went to Dr.Campbell after a few bad experiences hoping I found a long term dentist. That was until I realized he had been billing me incorrectly, charging my insurance then billing me even though things were covered in full. Once the discrepancy was discovered Michelle and Paul made it EXTREMELY hard to get this rectified. I at first assumed it was an honest mistake with $500 in overcharge clearly it was not. Dr. Campbell is amazing!!!! I was referred to Dr. Campbell by way of my Orthodontist. It was worth it. My consultation was amazing. Dr. Campbell is diligent, kind, experienced & hands on. I grew up very insecure about my teeth and never thought I would see the day of having awesome, white, straight, healthy teeth. Let alone ever get my maxillary lateral incisor missing teeth fixed or done. I am a young adult & finically handle my own responsibilities and some days are better than others but even with the quotes that were given to me & the work that needed, I believe that Dr. Campbell reasoned with me. Had to find a periodontist .. my insurance co recommended Dr Campbell.. Met him for a consult .. very professional and informative. A few weeks later He performed gum surgery and as apprehensive and nervous as I was... well, everything went smoothly with minimal pain days following. Met Dr Campbell. Very welcoming guy who was attentive to all my concerns. Then met with Lynette, a dental hygienist who works on Saturdays. Lynette is really nice and chatted with me to make me comfortable before getting started. We shared stories of living in cold Chicago. While cleaning my teeth, Lynette was gentle and thorough. She even used an advanced soundwave tech that I hadn't seen before. It made the cleaning process faster and I came away feeling cleaner than in prior cleans. I feel fortunate to have found a good dentist in my first search since moving from the Midwest. I look forward to my next visit! read more

I am a super hypochondriac and I am very claustrophobic. So , I am a terrible patient. Dr. Campbell and his superb staff work with me and are true professionals. They are meticulous and thorough with their analysis and work. I have had teeth cleaning , root canals, pulled teeth and everything was superior work. The staff is A++++. If they can handle me, they can handle any patient. They make me feel comfortable as soon as I arrive at the office. Their logistics are superb. Their office is clean , neat and aesthetically profound. Dr. Campbell is a true professional and will give you options and then proceed to handle your individual need. I want to respond more specifically in light of Grace F. remarks that stated: first generation Chinese girl who does in certain situations notice color, but NEVER claim that any ounce of racism is a reason for anything in my life Dr. Campbell is a professional periodontist/dentist with a practice in Westchester... oh and yes ...he is black..Does that matter???? I have been to see Dr. Campbell several times and my visits were good, I hate dentist visits in general, so the fact that staff was courtesy, my condition was cured, no pain and not a terrible long wait for me is good service for me (also they didn't charge more than my insurance allotted). However, I understand that Grace F. had a bad visit but I find it really peculiar that she even noticed the race of the UPS delivery drivers. While I understand that bad service is bad service and it is rather subjective... but I wonder IF she received bad service from an all white establishment (or Chinese) would the review just be about the "bad service" received (which she is entitled to review) or would she find the need to tell us the race of the "minimum wage workers" (which she has no idea what they make) and make sure we knew the race of the staff... and go to all the detail of how bad the "black" establishment treated her....Hmm Ms. Grace F. perhaps you notice race on more occasions than you think... I hope every time you think or experience bad service I hope the fact that they also happen to be "black" doesn't make it that much worse. read more

Dr. Campbell has been my dentist for several years now. I was referred to him by another dentist when I needed an oral surgeon to help me with a gum disease. I had gone to other doctors who wanted to pull all my teeth and give me dentures. After Dr. Campbell made his initial examination of my mouth I asked him how many teeth he needed to pull. He told me he expected me not to lose any that his job was to help me save my teeth. After that he became my only dentist. He is the only reason I still have my teeth and I trust no one else. He staff is kind and friendly to me, they have always treated me with respect and I do my best to return it in kind. One of the things I admire most about Dr. Campbell is that he treats his staff well and is very patient with some of the newer members that he instructs. He is not only a highly skilled dentist and surgeon he is a great teacher and mentor. I'm sorry that the previous reviewer had a bad experience, I don't where the negative attitude she wrote about originated from. The only attitude I have felt from Dr. Campbell is warm professional concern for my health and well being. I can't recommend Dr Campbell and his staff more highly. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!! The worst feeling in the world is leaving any doctors office feeling like someone tried to get over on you. I voluntarily had some fillings replaced with white fillings. When I went to pay after the procedure, the office had it written down how much was left in my insurance spending account. I was not expecting to pay an extra $200, which could have been avoided if I were properly informed by this office. When I expressed how I felt to the office clerk, she said the only thing she can do is apologize, they have new staff, and maybe the doctor was unaware of the cost. She also stated that informing me was a courtesy........ what????? That's your job. Every dental office I went to thoroughly explained everything and the doctors were well aware of the cost and explaining before they did the procedure. It's more aggravating that my insurance spending account starts over in January, which they know. Now I'm out of $200 because of incompetence my this this office. Will not go back . read more

I will start to say, yes I am Black! and I do support Black Business 100%. My visit with Dr. Campbell was fine in terms of the x-rays, cleaning, extraction...no real complaints. Remember those services were performed by his staff. The office staff is very nice and professional. The problem with Dr. Campbell is as long as he is paid, and there is not an issue you may rate him high. In my case Dr. Paul Campbell was overpaid over $300. I have double coverage. Since November 2016, I have been trying to get my refund. Not only has Dr. Campbell treated me rude, his attitude has been less than professional, uncaring and very arrogant. I have remained calm, polite and patient in this matter. Even though my insurance has determined and informed Dr. Campbell of the over payment, his office told me he does not intend to pay me. It's not March 2017. He has no reason not to pay. Just so you know, Dr. Campbell is required to write off a huge amount of the bill if he is in your carriers network. I am not asking for anything that I am not legally entitled to which is a refund on an overpayment which I paid in cash out of my pocket period I will get my money it just will require me to fight for what is legally mine.. So beware, I do not recommend Dr.Campbell because of the way he has handled this matter. read more

Today I walked in to Dr. Campbell office and received a smiled from the people at the front desk. My appointment was at 10:30AM and I walked into the x-ray room at 10:32AM. After having a full dental x-ray performed I then spoke with Dr. Campbell and he was very courteous and respectful. He performed my cleaning and then spoke to me about some problem areas that I needed to address. This was my first visit to the Doctor's office and everyone make me feel right at home. I will continue to see the doctor and I was very satisfied with the service he provided to me. read more

But Dr.Campbell needs to work on his attitude and be a bit more friendly he comes off as arrogant, and very much of a don't have time for you. You see his thoughts through his facial expressions and he has no customer service training other than that he is a great Dentist but has to be in a more humbling setting with his attitude.. read more

I have been a patient there. I am not discounting your experience because we all recognize rude. I just hope that you don't assume it was because he and most of his staff (that day) was black and you were not. The office serves all, I have seen all races there (they want GREEN MONEY). When I walk to into an all white estblishment (which is very often, right????) or chinese business and they are rude, I don't assume it was due to my being a different race. When you come in you are greeted by the lovely and beautiful Doonie, she made my day just calling in to make an appointment, Marie is awesome on the insurance tip (she will get you squared away). Rounding out the staff is Kenisha who is fabulous; she does your X - rays and saving the "BEST" for last is the dental hygienist the 'awesome' 'awesome' Veronica, she cleaned my teeth beautifly. I am new to Cali and did not have a dentist here, I was referred and I do not regret it; it have not had to good an experience in the past with dentist or hygienist, but not here, I love that they are personable and very knowledgeable. I can absolutely attest to the excellent quality of work that Dr. Campbell does.... he treats everyone like they are the most important patient that has ever come through his door. Dr. Campbell first helped me a dozen years ago when my gums were burning and I thought I had a terrible problem. Dr. Campbell gave me a thorough examination and determined that I needed a deep cleaning, which he did himself! Since then I have been going to Dr. Campbell's office twice a year for cleanings, which Veronica does and are amazing, and Dr. Campbell checks me on those visits as well. I have elected to have Dr. Campbell do some cosmetic dentistry, which has given me a perfect smile. I have depended on him, and everyone in his office, to help me in emergencies. Peaceful place, despite the scary needle injection needed to extract my wisdom tooth. Dr. Campbell makes it easy and is a caring dentist. The assistants and office staff are warm and family. I was fortunate to find Dr. Campbell in 2011 when I had an emergency dental need and also was interested in a teeth whitening procedure. I am so glad I did. Dr. Campbell provides professional and expert service. In my opinion, he goes above and beyond to make sure your dental needs are met. He provides good advice and his support team is excellent as well. I had a tooth I thought I was going to have to have extracted and he was able to save the tooth. How awesome is that. I want to respond to the review by the asian american "potential patient," that wanted to give a "zero' rating and continued on about the "rudeness' of Dr Paul Campbell and his staff! I am asian american and was a patient at dr campbell's office for about 3 years and was treated with nothing but RESPECT, CONSIDERATION, AND THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF PROFFESIONALISM!!!!" In fact, I had an infection that Dr. Campbell treated-requiring his specialty of oral surgery skills- and with their treatment prevented the infection from spreading to two lower molar teeth! An oral infection has the potential to kill, so not only did Dr. Campbell save two teeth but potentially my life as well!! Despite the fact that I am a graduate of USC and Dr Campbell is a graduate of UCLA Dental School-that never was an issue and if anything was a source of humor! I would highly recommend Dr Campbell's office/staff/and care to anyone in the los angeles area!! In fact I moved back to my home state but while I was in los angeles took the time and trouble to go to Dr Campbell's office for their "superior" service. "Race" is never an issue at this office, providing excellent dental care is there primary concern, trust me!! read more
