It had been a few years that I had been to a dentist due to anxiety, but when a tooth broke, I had to go. I had a lot of work that needed to be done, and a limited time to get it all done, but they found a way to get it all done. Every staff member that I came across was super friendly and always so professional. I was very embarrassed that I had not been in for so long, and as a result had so much work that needed to be done, but everyone was so kind that I never felt judged. They work very hard to make sure their patients are as comfortable as can be, they truly go above and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend them. Being the daughter of a dentist, it was hard to find dental office that made me feel as comfortable as I felt in my dad's office, but this office has always made me feel at home. Even with anxiety about going to the dentist, I will come back here because they care about the patient and work to make it a great experience.

My dental insurance was never sent the preauth. One was submitted to me through email. I immediately caught an error where they tried to preauth one of my teeth twice. I immediately called them to let them know. They submitted a partial update to me which I thought was done carelessly. There also weren't any clinical notes included on it. I called my insurance company about 2 weeks later and they stated they had not received anything. After 2 months and many phone and calls a couple of 3 way conversations between the dental office, insurance company and me, the dentist office said they were resubmitting it. The insurance company never received it. Again I contacted the dental office. I spoke with someone who said my case was priority and she knew all about it and would look into and call me the next day. A little after 4pm I called again as it was Friday and didn't want it to go until Monday. When I asked for the same person I was placed on hold for about 15 minutes, someone else came onto the line and told me the office manager was looking into it and unfortunately was out of the office on a family emergency. I waited until the following Tuesday. Now I was told they had no idea that my insurance was no longer accepted at this office. Mind you, this is approximately 2 1/2 months from my original appointment! There so much more I can't even go into all the detail without getting mad. If could give them a minus 5 I would. BTW, I asked to speak to the dentist and no way were they going to let me. I believe the front office staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing and definitely have absolutely no compassion, care, or real concern for any patient. Window dressing is all they are, as I don't believe anything they said. Worthless employees!!!

The physicians were conservative and had him work through a couple months of different therapeutic solutions until ultimately it was decided that he needed surgery. Post surgery his UC Davis doctor referred us to Scurti Orthotics. This family run business is professional, caring, and ethical. At his first appointment, they measured his foot then created a mold to make sure that the orthotics they were building were custom to his foot and concerns. My father also has a size 15 foot and has had difficulty his whole life finding footwear. He often has to send away mail order for his shoes. So, while we were at this appointment, he was able to try on several shoes, but ultimately placed an order for the right sizing in the colors that he wanted. They had him come back after they had built his customized orthotics and the shoes he ordered had arrived. His second appointment they fit him with the orthotics and the new shoes. On the first try he was still experiencing some discomfort so they made a minor change in their shop and brought it back out for him to try again. He slipped his foot in the shoes and it worked. All he could say as he was walking and smiling was "unbelievable". Thank you gentlemen you've made my Dad very happy and comfortable again.

I went specifically for kinesiology treatments and instead received chiropractic services, and then a couple of other "tools" type of treatments. At the time of the appointment, I was quoted $97. That went to $125 and I wound up paying $150. I was advised that my nutrition was probably poor and needed nutrients the doctor was happy to sell to me. I was not interested in that service personally. The part that didn't sit well with me were some off cuff comments around me "not looking my age" and "you don't even have gray hair". And honestly, I didn't find the establishment clean. There were blankets that went from one person to another without cleaning, I sat in a chair for a treatment after a guy who was a smoker that stunk! I then had "sponges" placed on me for another therapy and then those same sponges went directly on the next person. To me, that's just not okay. Some disinfectant should be used and all equipment, chairs and beds should be wiped down and disinfected before the next use. Unfortunately, I left in worse pain and couldn't move well for 3 days! I never did get any kinesiology work done. I'm sure the establishment excels in chiropractic work and has helped others...it just wasn't for me.
