The burgers were great size with super fresh toppings. The fries were some of the best I ever had- perfectly crisp exterior with delightfully fluffy interior and were seasoned to the max without being over-salted. The homemade pickles were mild and still crisp, and even my pickle hater friends enjoyed theirs. To end everything off, we ordered a whole huckleberry-peach pie. They don't sell whole pies typically so they offered us one of their pie baking tins if we were to bring it back. Sadly, we won't be in town past the morning, so we had to decline, but they boxed up our pie in pieces and we left on our merry way. We definitely could have taken them up on their offer for the tin though as we have already eaten the whole pie and would gladly drive back to drop it off and get some more!

There is a wonderful clothing and footwear department that sells many name brands that really appeal to the masses. Hunting apparel, jeans, coats, shirts and accessories. There is usually a really good selection on their clearance rack that I've found amazing deals for bothering me and my husband. But our favorite department is the gun department. They are helpful, knowledgeable and eager to show you anything that you might want to touch. We've been known to go in for chicken food and leave with a gun or two!! Ammo is always stocked and they carry many accessories too. Along with a huge selection of safes. Watch for their sales because they have some pretty awesome deals. But most of all after a big shopping haul right at the check out is a vast array of candy and snacks!! Also hard to resist!! One thing about Murdoch's is their customer service is awesome, always someone takes out our coop shavings and food and insists on loading it all up for us. Regardless of heat, rain or snow.

We had a double bed. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave. The restroom was big. Toiletries include a shampoo conditioner and lotion. The towels were super soft. The water pressure was poor, but manageable. The AC worked well. There was always hot water. Extras: they have coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7. They also had cookies. They have a laundry room and it cost $2.25 to use the washer and/or dryer. The pool is inside and there is a small slide. They also have a small gym. Breakfast. Continental. You can expect hot food selections such as scrambled eggs, potatoes, a protein, oatmeal, and waffles. Cold selections include cereal and yogurt. The only thing I noticed is that they don't replenish some of the items. For example, they ran out of oatmeal and when we asked if they could make more, they said that they could give us instant instead. Which is OK. They also have fresh fruit. Parking is free onsite.

I eat A LOT of filet mignon, so I know what I expect from this cut of beef, especially when I am paying $44 for an 8 oz filet. I ordered my filet medium, just like I always do, and while it did come out medium, it was completely dry with absolutely no juice. Even after adding a liberal amount of salt and pepper, it was unbelievably bland. I have never had a filet mignon that I needed to put steak sauce on just to be able to chew and swallow it...EVER. At first I thought maybe I had just gotten a bad filet, but my husband's was the same way. For $5, I expected the mashed potatoes to at least be real potatoes and a decent-sized serving. Instead, they tasted like instant potatoes and the entire serving was about the size of one small ice cream scoop. Then I tried the spaghetti, hoping the sauce might be amazing. If that wasn't Ragu or something extremely similar, I would be shocked. There was nothing about it that tasted like the kind of homemade sauce I was expecting. It came out on one of those old-style metal hot plates that reminded me of the plates Mexican restaurants used to serve enchiladas on. Our waitress also never asked us to cut into our steaks to make sure they were cooked correctly, which is something I normally expect when ordering steak at a steakhouse. The one genuinely good thing I can say about my meal was the house-made ranch dressing on the side salad. It was very good. The garlic toast was fine, but certainly not enough to make up for everything else. I was incredibly let down. I went in expecting an amazing filet mignon, especially with the advertised Montana beef, and this was absolutely not it.
