Highlights were the chicken tikka (grilled breast meat), chicken tikka masala vindaloo, and very original takes on starters like chicken pakora and meat samosas, but every dish was spot on. Yes, what we ordered was more English-Indian, but you should expect any dish ordered from the menu, to be the most fantastic version you've ever tasted. Side dishes like peshwari nan, pilau rice are well cooked and tasty plus one of the best chutney trays with popadums. As the Bengal Brasserie is off the main drag of Indian restaurants it generally is possible to get a table on all but the busiest nights without any problem. I must admit that I haven't tried more than a couple of items on the menu as I have fallen in love with 'my dishes', but that seems to be true of most people who I know eat there. Small word of warning, but not a criticism, if you go for the buffet you won't get the same range and quality of flavours, but then the same is true of most restaurants. Miahs is located in an old church which has been remodeled to accommodate 2 story seating, with much of the buildings original character retained. Sitting there enjoying lamb rogan josh, I couldn't help but wonder what the 18th century craftsmen who originally built the structure would think about 4 Americans dining on Indian food in their church! If I ever found myself in Swansea again this restaurant would certainly make my 'must do' list.

If you want to while away a few hours then this is the place to go. The coffee was a personal favourite whilst studying at the uni a few years ago and was a great place to take the folks to be treated of course. The seats are very comfortable and is a little quieter than the other coffee shops on campus. Highly Recommended. If memory also serves me correctly it also has free wi fi as well a huge bonus.
