So tasty. Wife had green curry chicken. Was so perfect. What a surprise! Had a special grilled squid plate that blew me away. Also one of the best Papaya Salads we've ever had. Too often the papaya salad at most thai places is way off. Not here. It's so tasty. Thank you. These folks are Cambodian. They cook great Thai, Japanese, Cambodian, Vietnamese. We asked for spicy and they delivered big time. Even gave us directions to an asian market that sells spicy chilis in nearby Perpignan. We are talking about going back a third time. They are from Paris, but they've been here two years. The area doesn't have much to offer mostly Crepe shops. Great to see these folks making yummy food here. If you like spicy. Ask for freshly sliced red chilis in fish sauce. Loved it. Going back for sure.

It's a simple, no-frills neighborhood kind of place with an extensive but affordable menu, delicious food, and best of all, a real neighborhood and familial atmosphere. The father of the family took our orders while his daughter, standing less than 2 feet tall and looking to be about 4 years old, did her best to help by carefully wiping the one edge of our table that she could reach on her tiptoes. Later, she entertained us by playing dress-up with her friend, the son of a couple dining at the kebab place next door. I had a bowl of pho, which was great spicy broth, meatballs, and generous, tender slices of beef still pink at the center. A few more herbs and some bean sprouts would have been nice, but other than that, I was perfectly happy. The beer selection is also a nice touch to go with the food, they have one Chinese and one Vietnamese beer, as well as a Thai selection. My friend had sliced duck, which came with onions and vegetables in a hot foil packet. We were both delighted with the place and I can only recommend it!

In fact, we almost walked by it yesterday as there were no tables outside (a typical sign that a place is open), but my wife noticed lots of folks inside... They were SLAMMED with customers yesterday, perhaps more than usual because of a special event at the nearby Machinista Mall? Nevertheless, we were seated promptly. The service was slow, but with the number of diners, that really came as no surprise. They have a small staff - two brothers were both waiting and busing tables, and mom(?) was running the kitchen. And that's where the magic was happening... I'm accustomed to knowing what to expect when I order some of my favorites - like Fried Wonton (Wan Tun Frito), Pad Thai with Shrimp (Pan Thai Tallarine con Gambas) and Chicken with Coconut Milk ((Pollo Coco). All of these dishes, however, were clearly their own home recipes. ...and they were delicious! The Pad Thai's noodles (tagliatelle) were wider than more al dente than I'm accustomed to, but were flavored so nicely... it was a real treat! Even the desserts - homemade Trufes and Postre Thai - were absolutely delicious! Our young waiter was delighted to practice his English with us, and was very helpful in translating some items we were unsure of. Oh, and in the spirit of FULL DISCLOSURE: they did comp one of my beers (Sapporo) because of the lengthy time in receiving our food. But if you know my reviews, you also know I've never let a free beer influence my review. That said, we'll be back - I'm already looking forward to it!
