After traveling in France for a week we needed a little break from French cuisine. Sushi Boat was…read morelocated right by our hotel and we were all in the sushi mood. Around 8pm on a Friday night it was quiet in the dining room and they were able to accommodate a party of 10. The staff was very welcoming and promptly took our beverage orders followed by the food orders. The menu had many different menu combos to choose from. The combos included soup (miso), salad (pickled coleslaw type of salad) and white rice along with whatever the main dish was. I chose combo "S" which included 18 maki sushi pieces along with the items mentioned before for 21,90€. I found the amount of food to be of good value. I was not able to finish all of the sushi rolls. The quality of the sushi was good. I found the rice to be a little more moist than usual but the fish inside was of good quality. I was too full for dessert so not sure if they had anything tasty. Overall great, friendly experience at a nice clean restaurant.

A respite in hot hot hot Montpellier. Lot of people getting take out here during lunch time, but also plenty of simple but comfy (for short term) seats and tables. It's a small joint but adorably decorated. Dishes are reasonably priced. Their teriyaki salmon bowl is quite nice, and they have other refreshing sushi lunch entree options as well. They make their soy sauce in house (the green bottle marked sucre is actually fait maison, home made, doesn't mean sweet soy sauce). They make their wasabi in house as well. At each table there is a different card game. Quite cute. For you to pass time. At the counter, they have a sign in French saying that even super man has an allergy (kryptonite), so please don't be shy to tell them if you have any food allergy. Love the humor. Generally friendly service. You order at the counter and wait for your food.
