Maybe the best way to do this is to post the review and pictures I just left for Tire Kingdom (not far from Pat's): This is long overdue. What started out as friendly service took an arrogant turn and went downhill from there. I had a tire that was leaking air. At first, it took a day or so to need air, and soon it wouldn't last a day without needing air. I took it to this Tire Kingdom to fix the flat. They fixed the flat, and I went off on my merry way. The next morning, the tire was completely flat... not in need of air... just completely flat. I couldn't believe it... I pulled my cell phone out and took a picture of it (shown here). I went back... they took the tire off and now the story was that it was leaking air from a new site that was too near the edge of the tire to be repaired. It wasn't their repair from the previous day that was at fault, it was just bad luck that I had a new flat on the same tire hours after they repaired it. So, I was told I needed a new tire. (If you live long enough, you probably get to see everything at least twice.) After a few insulting comments when challenged, I said: just fill it with air and put it back on the car. I knew what I needed... I needed to find people that actually knew what they were doing. Not far from Tire Kingdom is PAT'S TIRES (1915 Church St. | 561-686-3980... their business card is pictured here... they've been around so long they don't even have their area code with the phone number on the card). Not a fancy-schmancy place... just the look of "been here a while for a reason." They repaired the tire. (Turned out that it could be repaired... Tire Kingdom was full of you-know-what.) Tire Kingdom didn't remove the item causing the leak... clearly, it was only a matter of time before the metal object would compromise the tire again... which is clearly what happened. Pat's repair included the complete removal of the object causing the leak... that's what took time. Afterwards I thought, perhaps the leak could return (though I very much doubted it). Since the repair done by PAT'S TIRES I've driven thousands of miles, including a trip making various stops along the coast going as far as Rhode Island and back. No issues. No need to "top off" the air... just brilliant performance. My friends, that's the difference between pretenders and professionals. If you want professional tire repair (or tires for that matter), go to PAT'S TIRES (whether you're in West Palm Beach, or anywhere it's not too far to get there... they're not only "old school" - they're "top of the class.") Oh, did I say I'll never set foot in that Tire Kingdom again? Here goes: I'll never set foot in that Tire Kingdom again. I should have checked the Tire Kingdom reviews here first... far too many negative ones that ring true... could have saved time, trouble, and money. read more
