That guarantees a short stay here. So be sure to get some spirits across the street at Shop and Save before you start your night. I had to send my burger back and the server didn't want to accommodate. She blamed me as a customer for not ordering what she thought I would like. Val was our server and usually bartends. I ordered the Leading Lady salad without cheese, and my friend ordered the Mac and Cheese. About 20-30 minutes after we placed the order, our waiter informed us that they were out of the Mac and Cheese. It's fine if you're out of a menu item, but letting us know after we had already been waiting for that long seemed inappropriate. Eventually, my salad came out covered with cheese, even though I asked for no cheese. The chicken that came with it was also very dry. My friend opted for the BBQ brisket sliders in lieu of the Mac and Cheese, and he noted that the meat was dry and that there wasn't enough BBQ sauce. The fries were decent, though. Overall, not worth the visit, unfortunately.

The atmosphere is fun, laid-back, and full of tropical vibes--perfect for unwinding. The drink menu is impressive, with a wide selection of creative cocktails, and the bartender was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. Had the jungle bird, which was properly bitter if you're into that. The marikoriko was sweet and fruity, way easy to drink. The Saturn was also wonderfully fruity and easy to drink. I didn't bother with the mai tai because they use kraken instead of an actual funky Caribbean rum, which is wild because they carry Meyers. Probably my biggest critique is to funkify that Mai Tai yo! Float of kraken if you must, but use some Caribbean rum in there! Service was great, atmosphere left room for improvement. Great for a casual few drinks with your meal. Solid spot! Would return again.

So a few more minutes pass, then the waitress brings us menus, after a few more minutes pass again, the waitress asked if someone has taken our order. (Menus still on the table should indicate to a smart waitress, that nobody has taken our order) I said no. Now 2 waitresses are asking each other if they want to take our order. 1 agrees to take our order, they both leave and 1 comes back and starts to talk with an attitude. We get up and leave, telling our waitress to get it together. This was ridiculous, we made our back in into town and went to Gordo's Restaurant and got service, and had better prices. Since Virgies Restaurant was closer to the house, I thought I would give them another try, NEVER AGAIN!!!!.

Overall, I would recommend but suggest a few to go upgrades.

The menus are on a vinyl, to match their theme. And their drink menu is fun. What was disappointing was that 1. we had to wait 25 minutes for a bartender to show up and get our orders, then another long time to get the drinks. After the wait, a second drink was out of the question. 2. This is a vinyl lounge, and even though they had a setup for a DJ, there was no one playing but a speaker. 3. Some or our drinks did not come out with all the "frills" and effects as described on the menu, so we missed part of the experience. Not sure if it was an off night for them but my experience wasn't great.

We heard about Zema when in town so when we got a evening open we stopped in the other day. The walk up was pretty great. The location is a refurbished motel. We walked into a couple gals working the front desk. Long story short I rubbed the wrong banana but they helped me out. Once inside we grabbed a table a appreciated the clubs layout. They have some retro club music going, but no DJ. When we left about an hour later a DJ hadn't steppe dup, but the music was pretty good all the same. We had to wait for our 1st drink for a while. The gal at the front said the DJ has stepped away for a while but would be back soon enough. The drinks were ok, the service was so-so. We really wanted to like the place, hopefully next time things are more together.

I would highly recommend Tinnin's, if you want to relax, with or without the family. Robbie Tinnin, the Club manager, is super nice, patient, and very accommodating. If you want to spend a night or two or three they have a newly remodeled lodge which is extremely nice. My son and I stayed here a night and didn't want to leave. Photography-This is a wonderful venue for all wildlife photographers. They offer spectacular views of the Middle Rio Grande Valley (they are almost on top of the Rio Grande river). Some of the animals you could photograph (from a blind) include: Rio Grande turkeys Sandhill Cranes Mule Deer Javelina Coyote Elk Geese Ducks Pheasant Quail Chukar Countless songbirds Fishing-A catch and release largemouth bass pond. The bass are feisty and fight hard on a lure. They also have a giant channel catfish pond. Forget your rod, reel or tackle? No problem, they have these and will loan them to you. My son caught a nice largemouth bass after fishing for only 10 minutes. I caught two smaller ones, so he definitely beat me. Dog training-They are working in conjunction with a professional trainer, Ernest G., to teach pointing and retrieving on-site. My son was able to shoot at a live bird and the pointer retrieved it very quickly. Shooting Sports-If you want to hone your shotgun skills, this is the place to visit. Robbie is the clay thrower and offers tips on how to improve your stance and hit more clays. There is 5 stand, sporting clays, and wobble trap. They offer a variety of clay sizes including standard, medium, minis, and a super thin, fast clay that is almost impossible to hit! My son shot some of the sporting clay stations and they are extremely challenging, even for those advanced shooters. Archery-They have a 3D archery course where you can improve your bow skills. Hunting-Bird hunting with a shotgun includes pheasant, chukar and quail and if you don't have a dog, no problem, they will provide one. Other bird species to hunt are ducks, snow geese, Canada geese, sandhill cranes, doves, and turkeys. They offer big game hunting including elk, and deer. You could also call a coyote in as well. The Lodge is newly remodeled and offers: fully stocked kitchen and bar, living/game room complete with 3 televisions, a pool table and a shuffleboard table, two bathrooms, and four bedrooms (handicap accessible). They offer a steam shower in one of the bathrooms to get rid of any aches and pains. We had so much fun here, we will be back soon. Thanks Robbie, for making this a first class facility.
