They have a $75 "gate fee" fyi the gate is open all day . It cost $75 to walk from the inside to the outside and get your car yourself.

Thieves, crooks, and vial human beings. Incident date September 30,2024. My father died. October 1st 2024. I called to confirm we could retrieve my fathers truck. Over the phone I was instructed the cost would be $1600.00. We arrived, the at first unkind woman instructed me to fill out paperwork. After realizing I did not have all of the vehicles information, I returned to Patriot Towings one way mirror window. The now inappropriate woman tells me she has this information after she allows me to state that all of my dead fathers identification is in the truck. She knew. At this time I am told $1600 cash only. We were stared down like criminals while retrieving my fathers wallet, phones and firearms from the truck. All while this vial woman is attempting to keep the vehicle. We leave and go to our bank to withdraw $1600 cash. During this drive I engage a different company tow my fathers truck home. Back at Patriot towings security window, I hand the tow troll my money, she counts it and says "its short". I inform her I have hired others to tow the truck home. She then raises her voice at me, says "no other companies are allowed on our lot", and slams the window shut while I'm standing in front of it and takes my money. I had to call the Washington police department to collect my dead father's truck after paying $1600 cash for they called a "difficult ditch recovery". The ditch was approximately 2.5' deep. Additionally, Patriot Towing employees likely tampered with my fathers side arms in the truck, as someone loaded the wrong ammunition into his magazine being to stupid to notice. Police forced Patriot Towing the bring the 2017 F450 with low mileage to their front lot so the towing company of my choice could bring my fathers truck home. Patriot Towing staff are some of the worst humans I had ever met in my life, unfortunately on the worst day of my life, and these career crooks have no business recovering vehicles from accident scenes so they can cause additional undue harm to grieving families. Additionally: Patriot Towing was insistent the truck would be totaled and we should let them keep it. My now husband looked at the the truck and the frame and engine were unharmed. The person who answered the phone is ignorant and very rude. Refused my mother's car to us because my mother can't physically get to the location for the car to be released. My mother is paralyzed and is unable to walk . She is chair bound at home and this is our only vehicle to get her back and forth to the doctor . They requested my father's death certificate in order to release the vehicle to me even though they have my mother's permission . And they wanted a note from my mother like it was High School with a notary on it . My mother called Chanel 2 contact 2 so there might be a news report on them soon. All they are about is money and they want the extra 75 dollars a day it sits there. When we asked how are we going to get it back then if she is making it so difficult. The lady responded "I guess we own the vehicle now." These people are Crooks and they should be considered criminals for what they are doing to our community . I have to pick a star up here to finish this rating but honestly I give them a negative 15 star . read more

Patriot Towing charged us $500 to tow our car (PT Cruiser with front end damage ) on a rollback tow truck less than 6 miles after my teen son was involved in a car accident at a Washington, MO traffic light on September 20th. Part of the charge was $250 just because it was a car accident. After the car was towed to the new location the tow truck driver told my husband (who was unable to make it to the actual accident scene since we live 45 minutes away) it would be $482 cash or $500 with a credit card. When my husband questioned the outrageous charge the tow truck driver said the police determine how much we charge. However, I contacted the Washington Police and that is not true. They have nothing to do with how much is charged. I called four other tow trucking companies and none of them came close to that price for a car accident. Everyone I talked to was shocked at how much Patriot Towing had charged us, even the police. A couple of the towing companies I contacted even knew exactly which towing company I was talking about as soon as I said the accident happened in Washington, MO. So please beware, if you have a choice of towing companies I would ask for someone other than Patriot Towing unless you want an outrageous towing bill. Also if something like this does happen to you, contact the police, like I did. Let the police know if you are charged an outrageous towing bill because some police stations control what tow truck companies are in their cities' rotation and they have the authority to remove that tow truck company. read more
