My first experience with **Dr. Cabana** was excellent--she did beautiful work placing two caps on my front teeth. My insurance covered one, and I paid cash for the second, leaving me with a remaining balance of **$325**. Over the next several months, I made consistent payments toward that balance. I paid **$100** earlier, and a few days before my scheduled periodontal cleaning, I went to the office to pay another **$100**. During that visit, the front desk assistant--whose name I believe is **Raquel**--was extremely cold and dismissive. She abruptly told me they do not accept checks, with no courtesy, explanation, or attempt to help. On the day of my appointment, I returned with a **cashier's check** for $100, bringing my remaining balance to **$125**. At that point, the front desk representative on the doctor's side informed me that I would **not** be seen because I still had a balance. I was shocked. After paying more than **$1,500 out of pocket**, in addition to my insurance coverage, I could not believe they would refuse service over a remaining $125--especially when I had just made another payment that same day. When I asked to reschedule so I could pay the rest, I was told the next available appointment was in **May**. Then suddenly it changed to **two weeks**, and when I explained I needed a little more time, it changed again to **June**. The inconsistency and attitude felt unprofessional and punitive. Going to the dentist is already stressful for many people, and being met with rudeness, inflexibility, and a complete lack of empathy only makes it worse. This experience was unacceptable and does not reflect the quality of care I initially received from Dr. Cabana. This office would greatly benefit from **professional customer service training** for their front desk staff. Anyway I went for my first visit and it went well. Everyone was so nice from the front desk, to the hygienist to the dentist. This is the best dentist I have ever went to. They talk you through everything and explain it all in great detail. The dentist is the sweetest and gave me great advice. She treats you like family. I truly appreciate that. They made me feel so comfortable. I went two more times since then. They don't try to sell you like most dental offices. She even gives the injection in a way that makes it easier to tolerate. All in all its the best dentist office ever. If you have any apprehension about finding a new dentist or going to a dentist in general. Don't fret she will take very good care of you. Ok for the extra details ppl on here like: plenty of parking, short waiting times(no wait; get in quick), great scheduling(get me in whenever is good for me), nice/clean office, coffee and water in waiting room. And Lyndsey is definitely the best hygienist I've EVER been to.
