They are amazing. They do everything to accommodate and help you make appointments that coordinate dentist and ortho. Or both kids are the same time. My daughter is a teenager and told me recently that they make her feel so good. Everyone knows her name and greets her. The teenagers are able to be independent and schedule their appointments after their visit. They truly promote confidence and independence, and just make everyone feel cared about. So so glad we found them!! read more

As a fellow dental specialist patients often asked for recommendations for other dentists. In the South Bay Drs. Turley is the place for exceptional pediatric dental and orthodontic care. Heavy on preventive care for optimal oral health as well as minimally invasive treatment options. Dr. Turley is kind and gentle. Your children will want to continue coming long after they have outgrown the pediatric dentist! You can transition right into orthodontic care with her husband Dr. Patrick and son, Dr. Connor. The staff is competent and caring and will take care of you from the first phone call until your checkout. read more

The worse! Muy malos! took my daughters here, they did just a cleaning. No cavity, nothing major. We used my wife insurance, and they charge us more than $300 dollars. We asked them many times if the insurance would cover everything, they did on the day and multiple times said everything is cover by the insurance plan we have.

Dr. Turley was so great. I recently had a chipped molar and was able to see me right away. Her entire staff was courteous and efficient. I will definitely return as a regular pt not just as an emergency. I would recommend Dr. Turley to anyone. read more

Dr. Patricia Turley and her staff are wonderful with kids. Their office is inviting, with TVs everywhere, a gaming room for the kids waiting or waiting for siblings. I've found that it's not difficult to get an appointment, even in an emergency - my son chipped his tooth twice and they got me in same day to look at it, then fixed the next day. When you are ready for orthodontics, Dr. Patricia's husband is right there, and it's easy to make an appointment to speak to him about those services. I've been very happy here, I came over from another popular pediatric dentist that I gave up on after not being able to make appointments and being rubbed the wrong way...so happy I made this switch. My kids love it. Especially the "treasure box" after their appointment, which sometimes has Pokemon cards :)! Parking is also very simple. read more

My daughter had her first dentist visit here. She did so good. The office is really fun and kid friendly. The techs and dr use terminology and understands and helped keep her relaxed and at ease. I would definitely recommend. read more

Patricia Turley, DDS - Pediatric Dentists Near Me - Hawthorne, California

My kids prefer this office because they have TV and headphones for the kids. They barely know they are having dental work done. Dr. Patricia is super nice and very patient. Dental work is surprisingly effortless. And my kids don't mind it at all. Dr. Patricia is not an over-treater, I have seen both types as an adult and she is balanced. You should get the dental sealants when they are recommended. It will help their teeth last a lifetime. I know parents who had kids with and without sealants and the kids with the sealants do way better. Dr. Patricia is married to a great orthodontist and they work in the same office. When my kids reached the proper age, she started setting up free orthodontist check ups so you can plan braces if it is in your kid's future. Braces nowadays are often done twice. Once to correct jaw growth while they are young and then after a gap in time they are put on again to make final corrections. This helps set kids up for shorter and more effective braces experiences. The coordination between these two doctors makes the service superior to ensure your kids get the best start in life possible. read more

great office , amazing dentist, compassionate and tender! my son lost his fear and loves to go to the dentist now. Thank you

Maggie B. My 11 year old daughter needed an extraction and saw Dr. Patricia Turley and had the best experience. We would definitely recommend Dr. Turley, she was very kind and gentle. Dr. Turley made sure my daughter was comfortable and at ease through the whole procedure and the staff at her office absolutely awsom! read more

Worst dentist!!! STAY AWAY!!! I took my kids here for over a year and had nothing but problems. The kicker was they told me my 4 year old son had 2 cavities but they could use a liquid coating. We paid $500 out of pocket for it, and 2 days later, the tooth was infected. We took him back and after numbing him they waited OVER 2 HOURS before trying to fill his cavity. Obviously the numbness wore off so she told me they had to pull his teeth!!! I was totally not okay with this so I left. After going to another dentist the next day, we were told his cavities were not deep at all and they filled them easily. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! read more

I took my baby girl here for her first dentist appointment at 19 months old. She has most of her teeth now so figured it was a good time and I also wanted to ask the dentist about her grinding her teeth in her sleep. So happy we find a good pediatric dentist for her close to home. The office was really cute with a fun play area in the lobby. They didn't make us wait too long to go in, the dental hygienist cleaned her teeth then the dentist checked on her. They were really good at making her comfortable since she was being a little fussy. She loved the 'treasure chest' they let her choose a toy from to take home as a reward! read more

My three children have been going to Dr. Patricia Turley for the last decade. We went last week and never felt safer - all medical staff was wearing all the right PPE, parents waited in their cars and everything was wiped down between patients. We had an amazing first appointment. The dental hygienist was so sweet and gentle with our 3 year old, as was the dentist. Our girl is actually excited now to floss and loves to read the book they gave describing everything they did and what she can do now. Very impressed. Thank you! read more

My brother and I have been going to Patricia for the past 5 years and I couldn't recommend them enough. Patricia Turley is the most expensive pediatric dentist in the South Bay. She has a very nice office and the coolest toys but are ultimately paid by you (or the insurance). For example, to do a Composite Filling 3 Surfaces, customary charge is Two Hundred Forty dls. Her office charges Three Hundred Thirty dls. Our child has a known cavity. The charge for her just to confirm that it is indeed a cavity (a twenty second job) costs Eighty Five dls. She also breaks down each procedure for a cavity fill separately. Our insurance does not cover for a Pulp Cap treatment since she lists it separately under different code. She also demands more out of pocket than customary (much more than twenty percent copay for PPO) in order to pay for her inflated charges not covered by insurance. We left this place and went to Holden in Manhattan Beach. A year later Holden discovered the cavity done by Turley was improperly done and had caused infection. The filling had to be reopened and another pulpotomy had to be done. What a mess. Bottom line: do not go to this place !! Expensive overcharge place with very poor workmanship. read more

Dr. Turley Rocks !!!! She is an exceptional PEDIATRIC DENTIST ; extremely gentle, patient and so sweet. ...My daughter has been her patient for the past 3 years, we will be sad when my daughter gets too old to be able to be able to see her (she's strictly a pediatric dentist). Considering some of the work my daughter has had done from regular cleanings, to cavities, to tooth extractions I'm surprised she is always excited to go back. Dr. Turley has a very calm approach, and makes everything seem so easy. We had a recent tooth extraction for braces that my daughter did NOT want to do it, we were even considering sedation but Dr. Turley walked her right through it...not one tear shed !! The staff is very nice and well trained. The office has a very tasteful hawaiian surf theme, and is shared with Dr. Turley's husband Patrick Turley; my daughters' orthodontist, who is also great ! There is always a movie playing in each of the exam rooms&the kids are given headphones to listen to the movie while they are having work done. There's a room for the kids to brush their teeth or play a video game while they wait and of course grab a prize out of the treasure chest when they are done. I wish I could be her patient, but she only sees kids ... : ( read more

We switched my daughter to Dr. Turley since we had a bad first experience with our previous dentist. My daughter actually enjoys going to the dentist. Dr. Turley & her staff are wonderful & warm. The only problem I have is that her expectations & limitations on food & drink with regards to teeth are a little too extreme for me but that's just my personal preference. read more

Choosing a dentist for your child is overwhelming. I got the right choice having Dr. Patricia and her staffs helping my son through his journey. Thank You so much for everyone. read more

Way over priced. I took my girls here for their annual cleaning and exam. They were seen 1 hour after their appointment time. I was told their visit was covered by insurance, it wasn't until after insurance paid did I find out I owed a balance of over $500. When I called to ask about the bill, I was told I had to call insurance company because they didn't pay the bill. I called my insurance and they said their fees are over priced and I had to call the dentist. The dentist offered to give me a $95 discount. I do not recommend this place unless you just want to pay extra money for nothing special. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Something is off about this place and they are attempting to charge patients a small fortune. Was quoted $1875 to cover a cavity filling on a baby tooth and sealants on my daughter's molars. Asked for a break down of the charges and - get this - one of the charges is TWO HUNDRED AMD SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($275) FOR GIVING MY DAUGHTER AN ANTIHISTAMINE PRIOR TO FILLING HER CAVITY. The antihistamine they would be giving her is called Vistaril. When I asked why an antihistamine would be $275 I was told that "it's not for just the antihistamine, it's to monitor and keep her safe." Um, what?! Was also told that I'd have to pay for a panoramic X-ray even though we had one done by an orthodontist in the last 6 months and I went to great lengths to get it and physically bring it in after being told by this office that the email format it was sent in from another office was unreadable. This didn't make sense to me since I was able to open the X-ray that was sent via email, but okay, I drove to the other office and got the X-ray to physically bring to Dr. Turley's office. So I asked why we would need yet another panoramic X-ray (for $200) and then it was like - oops! You're right. Don't need another panoramic X-ray. Cross that $200 off the bill. Finally, was told that our dental insurance rejected the estimated bill. When I asked why - like, Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO just flat out rejected the entire bill? -the front desk person told me to call the insurance company. Nothing else. Long story short, I don't think spending almost $2,000 on filling a cavity on a baby tooth and getting sealants on molars is even remotely reasonable. When I asked how long the appointment would be to have the cavity filled and the sealant put on I was told "about an hour." That's a heck of a lot of money to charge for a 45-minute appointment. Something is just off. Stay far away. read more

Our experience in this office has always been met with very friendly staff and doctors. The office is really nice and kid friendly plus the surf theme takes me to the beach. Dr. Patricia is AWESOME with kids! My oldest daughter had a dreadful fear of the dentist and Dr. Patricia came along and that fear is a thing of the past. Dr. Patricia has a way of presenting dental hygiene to kids that makes sense to them and motivates kids to creating good brushing habits and just taking better care of their teeth. From cleanings to tooth extractions, Dr. Patricia is a pro with a mother's hand and voice to sooth any child's anxiety. Her staff is the best! They handle all my insurance inquires with the quickness. They never do any procedure without checking to see what the insurance will cover and what my out of pocket expense is going to be. We LOVE Dr. Patricia Turley! read more

Was excited to try this dentist after reading yelp reviews. Took my child in and the office staff was welcoming. Expected a lot of patience and child friendly techniques for getting the children to cooperate but was disappointed that the hygienist did not introduce herself, and just asked me to hold down my child's arms and legs. It was horrible and traumatizing. Did not see actual dentist until I asked to speak with her. On top of this got a bill for no actual dental procedure/cleaning since my child was not cooperating. Would not recommend to other parents of young children. Office was clean and staff at the front desk friendly. Had a hard time getting in touch with billing department to ask questions. Eventually just gave up trying. read more

Dr. Patricia Turley is amazing with kids! She speaks directly to them and is so patient with the less brave, like my daughter. I really appreciate her professionalism and kindness. I have been going to Patriicia Turley for 8 years with my two boys. I had had a bad experience at another dentist in town and a girlfriend strongly recommended her so I tried her. She is very passionate about dentistry and lights up the room with her presence. She seems excited to be at work and with her patients. She told me that she has one of the lowest cavity rates in town and she tells my kids to eat well so I like that she wants to keep the drilling to a minimum. :) My kids have not had a cavity in the 8 years too. Her office has a fun vibe and the front office team is super pleasant. read more

Dr.Turley is an excellent dentist. Attentive to the children and very thorough. Thank you for your professionalism

Dr Turley and her staff is the best thing that's happened to my family. After taking my 5 year old daughter to another pediatric dentist in the south bay and having a horrible experience I am so grateful to be here. My daughter had been diagnosed with 8 cavity and needed 2 extractions. Thanks to Dr Turley we started a fluoride treatment that will help freeze these cavities (which were not 8) and come to find out she does not need 2 extrations either. I want to give Jenny a big thank you for helping me out with my insurance. This office is also very nice and kid friendly. My daughter walked in very scared but left extremely happy because they made sure to explain everything in detail to her and make her feel comfortable. read more

Dr. Patricia is the epitome of pediatric dentistry. She is knowledgeable, gentle and most of all, an expert. Dr. Patricia Turley and her staff were amazing!! We were out of state and needed to make an urgent appointment for my daughter. They were able to fit us in right away! Horrible customer service!!!! Stay away!!!!! The secretary never calls you back and is rude when confronted about the lack of helpfulness. Absolutely the worst experience ever. Horrible office management, who did not advise me of insurance requirements prior to performing the procedure for my kids. End of story, I paid for the much of the procedure out of my own pocket. Regarding the actual office visit, I found Dr. Turley to be patronizing and unprofessional. She talked to my kids like they were babies. I had previously been with a dentist in the Bay area since the kids were small and I know how pediatric dentistry should be done. Stay away from this place! There are many good dentists out there, but this is not one of them. read more

My daughter is 19 months old, so this was her very first dentist appointment, I'm so happy our first experience was at this office. The actual place is great and totally decorated and fixed for children. My little girl was happy and playing even before she went in to see the dentist. We got to see Liz for the cleaning and she was so nice and sweet. Then, we saw Dr. Turley and she was also very nice and professional. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend it! read more

Very friendly staff here with fun toys in the waiting room. Dr. Turley gave a dentist book she wrote for kids, and since reading it, my child has become much more comfortable with brushing, flossing, rinsing, and visiting the dentist office. The hygienist Linda was very gentle and patient for my reserved toddler. Dr. Turley is knowledgeable and has practical, natural approaches on keeping teeth healthy. I wish she does spend a little more time with patients but I understand all dentists need to make their rounds with everyone. I'd recommend her! read more
