A popular location serving inexpensive Chinese food with fair quality. Very polite and friendly personal, nice atmosphere. Solid 4 stars.
The building and the area around looks really worn. Chaotic patches on buildings, grids of different designs and colors, hand painted signs on fences. Tiles are literally falling off the restaurant building (can be seen on the picture). That being said - this area is safe to visit.
The inside of the restaurant is an absolutely different story. Everything is clean and well kept.
I went here to try their Peking duck (~€10), assuming that was what they would do best ("Pato Pekin" is "Peking duck" in Spanish). Was a bit disappointed - not the best duck I ever ate. Still fine but their name made me expect something extraordinary. There are several menu choices starting from some €7 per person. Maybe I will try them another time. Wine prices start from some €6 per bottle.
Not easy to find online. The restaurant runs on walk-in traffic and word of mouth alone (the old one, not digital). There are several other restaurants with the same name (one of them, in Ciudad Quesada, is permanently closed). Google displays "closed today" message on Pato Pekin's listing every single day! And yet they are always open. Such a mess!
Location on the map is wrong (the mistake I made initially adding the biz to Yelp several days ago). Tried to change it buy Yelp told me they couldn't :) I'm adding a pic with the correct location.
20 meters from Mercadona Torreta II supermarket. 10 minutes walk from Carrefour supermarket and Habaneras shopping center.
Bottom line: good restaurant, reasonable prices, the duck is average. I will probably visit again :) You now know that the restaurant exists and is open. I'm happy. read more
