They usually have much more space than clients in winter when tourists are gone. Huge round tables are good for groups of any size and events of any kind. A very warm welcome as we arrived in normal Thai tradition, into 'pseudo' Thai décor. I say pseudo but not unliked. It was pleasant sitting in peacock chairs and seeing nice blue linen napkins. Cocktails arrived very promptly and were of generous proportions, did I complain? No way. Food was so authentic that I asked if the chef was Thai. Happens he was Chinese but he knew how to make those dishes sing. Chicken satay was delicious with a slight tang to the skewers cooled by the peanut sauce. The prawns in sesame seed coating were out of this world, especially with that wonderful lime dip. That batter was in no way oily. The main courses did not let us down either. The whole meal was one of the best we had eaten on this holiday. Finishing with coffee and a Spanish brandy. I should say finishing with half a glass of brandy, again generous portions.
