I spent nearly $3,000 on custom made cushions for our outdoor furniture. They looked beautiful and seemed well made but after 4 months, I washed them on gentle, warm water in a new LG front load washer and air dried them. Out of 14 cushions, 12 had seams come apart in at least 2 places. I tried to contact them 3 times to find a solution and never received an answer back. The fabric was a heavy boucle sunbrella and the seams frayed so badly that I doubt the cushions will fit once the seam is brought together enough to secure. Really disappointing!!! read more

Horrible experience. This was perhaps the worst experience I've ever had with a vendor. First they advised me that my fabric was not in stock and it would be delivered within 30 days. I was surprised when the fabric got delivered 2 days later to the upholsterer. Then when we received the finished product, we discovered they had sent the wrong color palate of fabric, and we also received almost 2 extra bolts of fabric! At this point, 8 new chairs had been upholstered and delivered at a substantial cost. When Patio Lane was contacted, they claimed the error was made at the upholsterer's end! No matter what I showed as evidence of their error, they denied it was their fault and though they offered to send new fabric, the cost to us to return chairs to upholsterer, do the job and pay for them to be returned made this impossible. Very disappointed with the quality of the sunbrella rain fabric with quick dry cushion. $900 for 2 waterproof cushions that only lasted 18 months! No help from customer service. I've had cushions for outdoor chairs that lasted years. It was nice for a while to be able to sit on a fabric that dried quickly but it didn't last long. The entire shape of the cushion is distorted. Make sure you get comments in writing can on chat. They tell you one thing when you buy and another when there's a problem. Like, you have to bring them in when there's a lot of rain! I ordered a custom window seat cushion in August. Due to covid-19 they were having trouble sourcing fabrics. I understood. I waited. I received this cushion the beginning of November. It has massive wavy wrinkles. I notified the company, as it looks terrible, and their response was to steam it, so I did. No change. Then I was told to manipulate the foam cushion and it will get better. I did, and it hasn't. Then I was told that Sunbrella fabric always looks like this. In none of the pictures on their website did it show a cushion with wavy wrinkles to this extent. I emailed Patio Lane again and haven't received a response. So, buyer beware because your end product will look like mine and they won't fix it. read more

i found patio lane on line when i was searching for sunbrella material, which i had found locally (in los angeles) and which was quite expensive, and which is rarely discounted. so- i poked around and giggled to see if i could find what i needed somewhere less expensive online and... voila! found patio lane. since then i've ordered here at least 5x - and spent thousand$ in material too! - and have always found the service and pricing to be excellent. davis has helped out both online and by phone, and has been stellar every time. they also shipped material directly to my upholsterer, which is convenient. and also shipping was freeeeee... wheeeee! ; - ) their online site is also by far one of the better sites to find and choose sunbrella, helping you narrow down choices, styles and budgets. (several other sites i found and checked would simply return 819 unsorted hits of sunbrella product, even if i specified 'white sling' or something. those sites were impossible to productively use.). patio lane also seem to have the largest selection on line that i've found. literally thousands of sunbrella samples yet - you can sort through them easily to pinpoint what will work. you can also order swatches too (note that most are free, they are not huge, just about 2"x 2"... and be patient it takes about 10 days to get them!... but they definitely help to make a right decision). they have other material too but for outdoors especially in the constant california sun, i have consistently heard that sunbrella is best and my experience with it has been although it is not indestructible (afterall, what is?!...), it is far better than other outdoor material. (pier 1 for example, says their home grown uv resistant polyester material is just as good... i like pier 1 but their material is not just as good! it is not!...). but if you take good care of it, hose it down when dirty, and if you can cover it when not in use... then sunbrella does the job and does it well. this is definitely my go-to place for sunbrella material. and it should be yours too! ; - ) highly recommended. read more

We needed a mesh top for a new screened area off the back of our house. We wanted something that would not block light completely as it is on the north side of our house but wanted something to keep out bugs. We shopped locally in New Jersey at several stores. After being told we were looking for a unicorn we went online and searched. Found Patio Lane who was offering a good price made better by a promo that was running. They talked with us at length about what we wanted and voila! Who knew they sold unicorns. The top is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. The finish on the edges was exactly what we wanted. Stay FAR away from this company. Very fast to charge but they are extremely slow to refund. Very shady business and they know it. I accidentally ordered "push buttons" for their "Showoff Canopy" when I later found them in my home. The customer service is extremely inept and couldn't refund me in 2 orders I made. I since contacted the Better Business Bureau against them and disputed the charges on my credit card. They stated in black and white that they would refund my entire order, but so far they haven't. These guys are crooks. Avoid them at ALL COSTS. They have several aliases. They are a.k.a. "Showoff Canopy", "Awning Works, Inc.", "Outdoor Fabric Central". This has been a horrible experience (patiolane.com). Do not pay for custom cushions until you receive them. I ordered and paid $1,200 over 5 weeks ago with a 3-4 week represented lead time.Other than the order confirm I received no communication from this company so I sent an email inquiry last week. I received no response to my email. I called early this week and the customer service representative said someone would call me right back. Nothing. Called back the next day and was assured Joanna would call me back. Nothing. Called for the 3rd or 4th time today and got the run around once again. After demanding to talk to someone, the rep connected me to Jeremy who informed me of all kinds of problems with the fabric I selected, an apparent problem with Patio Lane's website. Basically, my $1,200 has just been sitting in the company bank account since March 20th. I asked for my money back and was told I would see the refund on my credit card tomorrow. Patio Lane has done nothing they have represented thus far and doesn't even have the common courtesy to respond to their customers even after repeated promises to do so. I never leave bad reviews for companies because I know they need their reputations to be successful. I am furious that I feel the need to waste more of my time warning the public about doing business with patiolane.com. Buyer beware with this company. read more
