In hindsight, I should have run out into the hallway and knocked on every door looking for staff so I could make a run and not come back to this place! Both technicians are really rough too! I am still sore from the both of them. There are lockers but not for patients to use! You have to carry all your belongings with you. At the time I was in the wait area an unhinged lady was sitting there tearing up her personal junk mail. She'd been sitting there for a long time and I bet nobody asked her what she was doing there! And so I wanted to take the time to pay it forward to other Yelpers by noting that Dr Bungay has now moved his practice to NYU Langone Penn District over on 31st and 9th. I saw him there for the first time today and I have to tell you, I was IMPRESSED. The facility is brand spanking new and in amazing condition, and every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. The new office runs extremely efficiently. I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in at the electronic kiosk, and was welcomed in 2 minutes before my official 2pm appointment time by a nurse who did my intake. Dr Bungay saw me right after, and then another nurse came in to give me a quick and easy tetanus shot after about 5 minutes' wait. This facility also happens to have a phlebotomist onsite, and so I FINALLY got bloodwork done after years of never getting around to making a separate appointment at LabCorp downstairs! An extra bonus -- one of the nurses had already gotten me in "line" for the phlebotomist before I even walked out of Dr Bungay's office, so I had zero minutes of wait time once I walked down the hall to get there. Lab results began to roll into the patient portal later that same night, and I was notified by text message. All very impressive. Dr Bungay himself, of course, remains as gentle and caring of a doctor as he always has been. For anyone potentially worried about the loss of Gotham Med and the transition to the big faceless NYU Langone machine -- you don't need to be. It still feels like the kind and friendly practice that Dr Bungay's old office was, and now maybe even a little shinier!

This review is for the Lenox Hill location on 15th. Had an absolutely horrific experience there…read more First, they were 40 minutes late for my appointment. OK. No problem. From the waiting area to the changing area, the place looked shabby and unkept...visuals you don't want to have when entrusting a place to take medical images of you. In the changing area, things were literally peeling off of the walls. I have had a MRI since having this one and didn't need to wear a gown at all. Wearing your own clothes and being asked if the temperature is OK? Preferred. Now here's the really weird part. This radiologist had ZERO emotional intelligence. I told him as I started to cry that I was so nervous as the last time I had a test like this they found a tumor. His response? "Where did they find it?" Seriously? I was dumbfounded. I told him and he simply said, "Well we're not looking at that this time." Yeah....obviously I know. They give you ear plugs that are way too big for someone with smaller ear canals. I could hardly screw them down to get them in my ears and as a result the machine was FAR too loud, which as I'm claustrophobic was especially triggering. At the MRI I had today, the machine was far cleaner, faster, and I had noise cancelling headphones with music playing which is FAR less loud...and if it's too loud, it's probably damaging your hearing as well. Also, the radiologist was lovely. As this Lenox Hill guy wheeled me in the machine, I was crying. He came in, removed the cage from my face and then started to wheel me back in. I told him that I needed a second. Most people at this point would have already asked if I was ok. ZERO emotional intelligence. Shouldn't be doing testing on any patients whatsoever. Overall, I'd give this place 0 stars out of 5. NO idea how they have any positive reviews. I was so triggered that I called my doctor and explained the situation recommending that they find a new radiology department to work with.
