Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you value a decent steak. 47 minutes to cook ours, and it came out well-done despite ordering it medium-rare. The sheer lack of attention to detail here is mind-blowing. I will say, they offered to remake it, but I was not about to spend another 47 minutes waiting. For the absurdly long wait, the sky-high prices, and the disastrous level of doneness, this place is an absolute rip-off. Save your money and your time, there are far better options out there. Romantic spot near the Condesa neighborhood. My hunny and I wanted a dinner that satisfied both of our tastes meat and seafood. I love Argentinian style food, so this was a perfect place. There are a lot of options to choose from for starters and entrees. You could get away with ordering several things and sharing. I could have tried many of their empanadas but I opted for the mushroom and provolone. It was a different look cooked open face but still delicious. I paired it with a sangria that was delicious and smooth. For an entree I got the octopus! I have had it before in restaurants in the US but loved it here. They made it with real mole sauce with a cream. It was very flavorful and not rubbery. It was paired with potatoes. The potatoes were a little overcooked but it did not kill the dish. We walked by here the other evening and decided to come back for dinner. Cordial greeting...yes, we're tourists and my Spanish is not very good. Our server was courteous and attentive, but his English abilities matched my Spanish so we got along fine. Ordered a great Malbec and we started with the carne empanadas. Very flavorful meat in a pastry that was baked! I've only had them fried and these were delicious! I could come back just for these and some wine! It also came with some crisp potato chops with tomatoes and purple onions. We both ordered the steak and it came with some great roasted potatoes, yams, and onions. The steak was well seasoned and cooked a little more rare than the medium we asked for. The steaks had a little more fat than we liked. The low lit ambiance on the patio didn't allow us to see just how fatty they were. We were also give an assortment of breads with a delicious chimichurri sauce. For dessert we ordered the lemon creme brulee which I felt had a little lavender infused in the caramelized sugar and the choco one that sort of reminded us of cookies and cream, but chocolate. Very dense and rich mousse layered with chocolate cookies? cake? brownies?...whichever, it was very good! This was a very satisfying and delicious meal! Came here twice... First for dessert where we discovered VERY generous portion sizes for chocolate cake. We had a good experience so we decided to come back the next day for lunch. The food was delicious, portion sizes huge, and it's very fairly priced. Also the wait staff is super friendly which is a huge plus. We sat outside on the terrace/sidewalk and enjoyed a really fantastic lunch for as long as our two small children would allow us! Ok, so I'm not one that normally likes to give bad reviews, but this place was not my favorite. After eating here, I had GI issues from Monday until today (Friday), and my bf got sick as well, but luckily for him it was only one day. We had the mollejas, which were decently cooked but under seasoned as an appetizer. I had the pulpo and he had the veal osso bucco. The pulpo was okay- needed salt or some seasoning, but his fish tasted like it had been inadequately reheated with a wine reduction or something to the side that was very offputting and almost smelled like it had gone bad. Neither of us finished our dishes. We each had one drink, and they were completely watered down and mostly flavorless. I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to get GI problems. If you choose to visit, consider yourself warned. read more

Worst steakhouse I've tried in Mexico City. I ordered a medium-rare ribeye (which they call a New York steak for some odd reason). The steak they served me was a joke. A thin 1 inch cut of low quality beef that was already cooked well done when it reached my table on a sizzling plate. If 7-11 or gas stations served steak I would imagine this is the quality you would get. I showed the server that it was overcooked and he took it back to the kitchen. They made me another steak but it was raw in the middle this time (see pictures). I paid my bill and left without eating. They didn't offer to take the steak off my bill. Avoid this place. read more

We had a great experience. We went for Father's Day and had a reservation. Our table wasn't ready when we got there but the staff tried to put it together as fast as possible. When we were seated, we ordered our drinks almost immediately. There is a lot of outdoor seating and the inside is an elegant steakhouse decor. The menu is small and has some great options. Everyone I was with ordered a steak, which was nicely cooked and very good. I got the ossobuco de ternera, which was incredible. The lamb was served on top of a bed of potatoes and had some bone marrow on the side. The creamed spinach was really nice too. I heard the papas espanola and jugo de carne was good, but the sopa de cebolla was not good. The price is expensive but worth it. The servers were all really nice. This place is delightful. Very cosy place with a nice terrace. We celebrated my friend's birthday there and the food was excellent. I had the Lomo De Res which was super juicy and tender and another friend had the Bife de Chorizo which also looked amazing but was a thinner and fattier cut (usually my go to!). The salads were great too, especially the prosciutto, blue cheese and walnut one. I had apple pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert and was not disappointed. Beautiful home made vanilla ice cream. Wow, fantastic meal! The service was great, the atmosphere wonderful, and the meat was the best of all! We shared chorizo and boneless chicken as a couple - it came with a bread basket and choice of fries or potatoes, too. Plenty of food for two people! I highly recommend this place for a nice meal. We walked by Patagonia countless times during our stay in Condesa and finally decided to visit for dinner on New Years Day. Ambiance alone makes this place divine--soft twinkle lights, small candles on the table, and a silo singly quiet patio despite its prominent corner location. The wait staff is very attentive and patient (as our Spanish isn't the strongest). The empanadas are a little smaller than I've had elsewhere but the carne is bursting with flavor. Perfect place for a gorgeous big cut of red meat, or just some small bites and a few glasses of Malbec. read more

We sat on the patio on a busy Thursday evening. We were right next to the host/hostess stand - which I don't recommend - one, because we were constantly bumped by passing people, and, two, because we were the first line of people to be solicited when folks came in wanting to sell us trinkets. Service was attentive. Drinks were refilled and finished plates were cleared fast. We ordered a bunch of small plates: humita empanada, ham and cheese empanada, creamed spinach, provolone and peppers, stuffed potatoes. As an entree, we split a steak, which came with two sauces, one being a chimichurri. The items that disappointed me were the potatoes and the steak. The potato was like a twice-baked potato, but it wasn't hot nor fully cooked. The steak wasn't very thick and had more chewy fat on it than we would have liked. It was cooked more well than medium. I liked both empanadas and the spinach. Portions were okay, the empanadas on the small side. As we were finishing our meal, live music was starting up. Could be great, unless you're wanting to converse. read more

Argentinian fare at a fair price (get it?!). We stopped here while strolling through Condesa. The atmosphere is great and they have tables right on the street. While we were eating a violin player and two classical guitar players played short sets in the restaurant. Almost bought a CD from one of the guys until we realized we have no means of playing a CD these days. Had the pulpo which was not great and the osobuco which was pretty good. Had Choriizo to start which was delicious. Next time i would probably go for the steak... Biggest mistake coming here was that we were not that hungry - the portons are massive, so maybe go for a run before. Good wine selection too. read more

The food was wonderful. We had empanadas and the quality was great - not greasy and with good meat. I'm an Argentinian and felt a little bit nostalgic when we saw this place. Although it was a good experience and the servers were nice enough, we were a small ticket and we felt that in the attention we received. It somehow matched the whole Argentinian experience, since our service is not the greatest out there... but for Mexico ' standard, it was pretty poor. read more
