Absolute love this place! Idyllic and the owner makes the food still after so many years! So much passion! New favourite place

Boring bland buffet, no food selection, bad service,, 18% tip automatically added to an already EXPENSIVE bill. So Disappointed.
Close to Airdrie, it's a nice Sunday afternoon drive. The staff are friendly and the views of the countryside are really nice. They have a store with I believe, local artisans crafts. It's mainly women's clothing and jewelry. On the other side of the store is a restaurant. All we had on this visit were their fresh made scones. The lady told us they would be ready in 20 min. 40 min. later they came out. Hot and fresh nonetheless. It's served with whip cream and fresh jam. Not sure what else they serve, but at a quick glance I believe they also do Father's day and other occasions. Nice place with friendly staff !!! read more

I found this place while out on a Sunday drive. Absolutely lovely. They are located in a gorgeous setting, big windows in the restaurant over looking rolling hills and some sheep. Although dated, the food and service were excellent. I did some shopping in their unique shop, and found great local and Canadian products. That's what I'm always searching for, everything ethically produced. I'll be back for more mittens and slippers. read more

Hubby and I went to the South African BBQ event hosted by the very friendly owners and staff. I would say that the price we were charged was definitely not worth it however. Although being set on a beautiful grassy farm with numerous cute fuzzy sheep and llama's, the interior is a little dated, drab, with stained fabric chairs, carpets and what looked like an old dusty antique market in it. The "buffet" itself was a few buns, some salad and just enough meat for the number of people who made reservations to eat one maybe two small plates of food. Hardly a buffet. My hubby felt that the hand-made sausage was the best item and that was gone first. The rest of the meat was just ok. The price of ~$45 per person was too much. This is a place for the older generation mostly who have lots of time and money to waste in retirement eating scones and drinking alcohol and tea. We didn't leave with a great experience in our minds. Go for the sheep, forget the buffet. read more

They don't really have a good menu. they are very limited on the oppositions of food they have. This place is really only good if you like sheep. The lamb I had was pretty dry and felt like I was eating sand paper. everything else was pretty good. This place is really nice to eat at. The place feels like that you are in a old time house. The people are nice . I think that this is a good place to eat if you are coming in the area. That's why I'm going to try it for the first time this summer read more

Had the most amazing experience today at PaSu farm. Charming hosts Pat and Sue, who doted over us through a delicious lunch of lamb ribs perfectly seasoned and grilled, served with a delicious salad and home made dressing. The mint sauce for the lamb had a little kick of something hot, and the bread was to die for. I cannot emphasize what a great destination lunch experience this was. Thank you, Pat, Sue and staff! You will also have to check out the amazing gift shop and culinary treats to bring home. We will be back! read more

About 40 minutes North of Calgary, just outside of Carstairs, there's a quaint, rustic little farm, with a beautiful garden, a field of sheep, a llama standing guard over the sheep. 2 friendly black dogs greeted me in the parking lot. After sniffing me down to determine friend or foe, the greeting was warm. Inside is a lovely little gift shop, and then through a door to the right, the restaurant. Lunch consisted of a bowl of mushroom soup and a steak sandwich. The soup was good, although not nearly as good as the price would suggest ($9.50 for a small to average sized bowl, that in a city cafe I'd expect to pay about $3 for), and the steak was a pretty average pub style steak (menu said 7oz, I'd guess closer to 5, not a great cut of steak, too thin, not seasoned in any noticeable way), not particularly good. The salad the accompanied it was excellent. Dessert was a few cream puffs smothered in chocolate and raspberry, which was tasty, but also overpriced for what it was ($7.50 for 5 or 6 little puffs) - While I don't know if they were or not, they tasted exactly like the cream puffs you can buy in a grocery store, $20 for 100 frozen in a bucket, which you could make fresh at home if you had the time, energy and talent for around $4. For 100 of them. All in all, I'd rate the food a 3 out of 5 for quality. The prices are very steep for what you get - but with the people and the atmosphere, still very well worth the trip. Food aside, for a lunch experience (kid friendly, fantastic people) I'd give it a straight 5 out of 5. read more

My wife and I have frequented Pasu for years. We have had many good meals there and have bought many products in the shop. My wife bought me a pair of slippers at Pasu yesterday. She had to purchase a size smaller then requested as they didn't have the proper size in inventory. The clerk promised my wife she could return them for a refund if they didn't fit. They didn't fit and when my wife went back to return them she was told there was no refunds and the clerk that served her the day before was new. Well, Pasu, you've now lost our ongoing business through you archaic business policies. Not the best business decision. read more

Absolutely love the idea of this place. A country paradise. Food was excellent. The Shepherds pie was delicious. Love the ambiance and watching the sheep outside. You can even stroll around the farm for a closer look. We just had afternoon tea and lunch. Worth the drive! read more

I held my wedding at Pasu farm almost 2 years ago now. The owners were amazing to deal with, the meals are perfection, and the venue is beautiful! We go back as often as we can for Sunday lunch! Check this place out, you will not be disappointed! read more

We have dined there about 3 times and found the food to be good, however a little pricey. Here's my beef: TERRIBLE SERVICE. I'm very disappointed and offended!!!!! I had seen a pair of beautiful sheep lined gloves in their store last year but unfortunately didn't purchase them at the time. Later I went online but couldn't find them on their site. I called and spoke to owner Sue and she said they didn't have them yet but would call me when they got them in. Rather than taking my number she told me to call back and leave a voicemail message with my name and number. Months went by and no reply. I called again on September 24th, spoke to Sue again and she took my number and said she would call me back in 20 minutes. This is now Oct 3rd and I have not heard from her. This lady is a phony! She is so nice and full of promises in person and on the phone but she doesn't follow through. I met Sue in person when I brought 3 pure wool blankets to her. They were family owned blankets that I no longer had room for and I reached out to her given they're involvement and love for wool. Sue loved the blankets and even took my picture with them and said they would feature them in an upcoming newsletter. She offered this to me, it was not something that I expected or asked for, all I wanted was a good home for my blankets with someone who would appreciate them....so my question is, why put on this big deal for nothing. When I phone about the gloves Sue recognized me and made a promise to get back to me. I'm very disappointed to be treated so rudely and in hind site wish I hadn't given her my blankets because she is obviously not the person she claims to be. I would have liked to purchase the gloves but obviously they don't need the business so I'll find another source. Word of advise: don't rely on or expect proper service here. read more

This place is a great place to go for rustic charm, scenic mountain views and good food. I decided to give it 3 stars instead of 5 because aside from the positives there are a few things I find a little hard to overlook. First the decor is dated and in need of a makeover. Windows don't open, seats are uncomfortable, even though there are big windows it seems dark and a little dingy. Second and impossible to overlook is the service... Slow and not that polite either. I waited more than an hour for the good and beverages to be served after my event started and my guests had arrived. We were helping them to set up tables even!!!! Lastly the price.... Wow! Make sure to show up with extra cash also because even though the brunch buffet on Sunday is a whopping $35 per person they charge for coffee and tea over and above that. It seems that you are paying a premium for the food but the promise of a high end atmosphere is lacking when compared to the price you pay for it. I want to stress that the food is excellent however but if you are just there for a light lunch you will get just that! A sandwich and tiny salad adds up to $12 and $6 for soup if you still need a little extra! There is a wonderful boutique shop with interesting items that will be hard to find anywhere else. I did think that the quilts looked handmade and beautifully shabby chic until the stores clerk told me they were made in China. read more
