There was a promotion for a "Happy Hour" box, where I paid 25 francs for a mystery box. I opened it in the store so the sales lady could see it. It was a beautiful black one with a skull printed on the face! I was terrified of what would be in the box and was pleasantly surprised!!!

However unlike other shops we visited, the isles at Casa Grande felt wider than most other stores, everything was very neat and well organized, and the establishment was fastidiously clean. Overall we found the staff to be polite, friendly, and fluently multi-lingual. Best of all, almost everything was reasonably priced! Two items of special praise for the inventory at Casa Grande: their selection of chocolate bars was expansive (we purchased several multi-packs), and they had virtually every model of Swiss Army Knife in stock with on-site engraving available (we got one for every member of the family). My disappointment came with our ski rentals. We rented skis, Boots, and poles for 3 days. On the second day, someone took my granddaughters skis and left theirs by mistake. We didn't discover this until we got to the slopes the next day because the name label came off the skies. So my grand daughter didn't get to ski that day. We turned in the skis and they told us the other skis were already turned in. No one at Quattro tried to contact us they wouldn't say when her slides were turned in by the other customer but there was a chance that we have have been able to make an exchange with the people and save a skiing day for both children. The store has our name, phone and email because we belong to the loyalty program. We were really disappointed.

I usually come to this Departement store not to shop for clothes or household products. The products they sell there are fresh, tasty and wonderfully displayed. They got lots of import stuff, so if you look for something rare, this might be the place to get it. Besides a nice selection of fruit, veggies, meat, fish and seafood they also got a great selection of cheeses (Swiss and Import). You can sample some if you're honestly interested in buying. There's also a nice Bar in the middle, if you feel like having some oysters and Champagne (or other items). Besides that they have a great alcohol section. All kinds of Whiskey, Rum, Tequila or any other booze. And more importantly: a great range of wines! Right now I'm really into their "Buglioni Amarone", the Californian "Bogle Phantom" or the divine Californian "Caymus" Cabernet Sauvignon. If you are looking for some fancy but heavenly salmon, you should try some of their "Balik" Salmon. Best I've ever had. About 50CHF, but worth every buck. This is really the place to go when I look for some unusual, but great food items. The rest of the store is fine with the clothing section, toys, make-up, perfumes, jewelery, accessories, electronics our household products. A real restaurant with some nice views is on the top floor. They have nice christmas decorations for sale in the holiday season as well, but it's the food market which makes this place. Love it!

Although I do not speak Swiss German, I did not have any problems interacting with cashiers. Note that most stores not at a train station close around 7 pm during the week and are closed all day on Sunday. Also, bring a tote bag for your purchases. Finally, I did not have a chip-and-pin credit card (just magnetic stripe), but, as of this review, it was not a problem to use.
