Poole isn't usually my go-to shopping destination, but I'll often go out of my way to make a trip here. The store is tiny and gets cramped with more than a few visitors, yet is stuffed to the brim with any Lush items you could want, from bubble bars and shower gels to shampoos and henna hair dyes, even at Christmas when there are even more goodies to choose from. This is the only store in the world that features the exclusive (and beautiful) 29 High Street perfume, the perfume that smells exactly like a Lush store in a bottle, as well as some special edition tote bags you won't find anywhere else. They also feature a more extensive collection of perfumes (both solids and liquids) than your regular Lush store. The staff are wonderful and so helpful, a joy to talk to and always surprise me with great new product recommendations and samples. I feel like sometimes there are too many staff members in the shop but it can get busy very quickly. There is also a Lush Spa location next door, one of only a few in the country - I haven't yet been lucky enough to try this out myself but I've heard it's a must-visit if you happen to be in the area! Even though Poole isn't the most stand-out shopping destination this is absolutely worth a trip.

Most people think that Superdrug is in competition with Boots, but in fact they are co owned. Superdrug has a good selection of goods; cosmetics, toiletries, electrical, and first aid. They also carry a range of perfumes. With the Boots loyalty card I don't see a lot of point in making purchases here anymore.

The in-store offers are always really appealing and at Christmas their range of gifts is impressive. Recently Superdrug's perfume area was moved and now unlike most perfume shops you are allowed to roam freely among the scents trying them as you please so none of the having to ask an assistant over and over again. The layout of the shop is easy to negotiate and understand but it can get busy at peak times like all shops in the town.

The staff seem knowledgeable and eager to help which is always nice especially if it is a gift. My favorite time of year in the shop is January. Christmas stock is reduced so the gift sets drop to around 15 20 pound each and this is when I buy favorite scent Christian Dior Pure poison as at this price you can't go wrong. Prices vary some fragrances are cheaper than elsewhere others no so as always look around but The perfume shop in Poole is always my first port of call.

Their stuff is good, no doubt about it, but I'm thoroughly converted to Lush. The prices here are quite high for what you get, and, oh, all that packaging.
