Being lucky enough to visit the original Lush store is a true privilege for any Lush fan - this is where it all began! Poole isn't usually my go-to shopping destination, but I'll often go out of my way to make a trip here. The store is tiny and gets cramped with more than a few visitors, yet is stuffed to the brim with any Lush items you could want, from bubble bars and shower gels to shampoos and henna hair dyes, even at Christmas when there are even more goodies to choose from. This is the only store in the world that features the exclusive (and beautiful) 29 High Street perfume, the perfume that smells exactly like a Lush store in a bottle, as well as some special edition tote bags you won't find anywhere else. They also feature a more extensive collection of perfumes (both solids and liquids) than your regular Lush store. The staff are wonderful and so helpful, a joy to talk to and always surprise me with great new product recommendations and samples. I feel like sometimes there are too many staff members in the shop but it can get busy very quickly. There is also a Lush Spa location next door, one of only a few in the country - I haven't yet been lucky enough to try this out myself but I've heard it's a must-visit if you happen to be in the area! Lush on High Street, Poole is the most sophisticated yet welcoming Lush outlet off all I've been. This store is situated along the most quaint little street with stone pavements and rustic white English windows. Stepping in, you are greeted with the luscious fragrance of all handmade cosmetics. You are then welcomed by the sales girls with the sweetest smiles and kindest assistance. If you are new, they would introduce you to every product they have and their missions. All of their products are pristine and neatly arranged according to majestic bath bombs, muddy face mask (a lot of fun), hand soup, body wash, and hair treatment (don't try to wash your hair there). They are always so excited to let you try their new products and it's a great deal of enjoyment when you see solids turn into bubbles or pink turn into blue. Magic, some would say, but it's merely another day in Lush boutique. Everyone is very knowledgeable and more than happy to go above and beyond to provide excellent service. I like how the products are labelled with lovely little notes, allergens-friendly and sometimes come in variety boxes (during the holidays). So girls, if you don't know what to get for your girlfriends, get something from here. Have fun with the boys using bath bombs in the bathtubs. This is my favourite Lush store - it is such a vibrant, exciting store, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The products from here are incredible, and the bath products are the best anywhere. None of the products are tested on animals and the ingredients are all very natural, with many vegan products. read more

This is an amazing store, next to Lush at the end of the high street in Poole, near the Quay. They sell make-up and fragrances, and the bottles and jars are all beautifully jeweled and decorated. It is against animal testing, and the staff are brilliant. read more

lush has to be my favourite shop for treating myself to smellys! unlike boots it is very unique and everything has that home made quality to it. They also do loads of great little sets, perfect for prezzies so i intend to do a lot of my xmas shopping there. I've been a fan since Lush called Cosmetics to Go all those years ago. The wonderful smell, the array of unusual shaped soaps and the funny and funkily named products make for a great buying experience. Living in Poole, the capital of the kingdom of Lush, you'd possibly be surprised that I ask for it as birthday and Christmas gifts from relatives. The reason is, I feel the products are getting a bit pricey and in credit crunch times I would rather wait and be bought some Lush now as my pennies just won't stretch to their prices. The LUSH store in Poole is really worth a visit. As LUSH headquarters are based in Poole it is no wonder that the Poole "store" is their kind of flag-ship. Well I think of it as that. There is a caring attitude that seems to be lacking in the highly-advertised, highly synthetic products produced by other so-called beauty manufacturers. The brochure/magazine they print is informative and so interesting. They like LUSH users to be involved and they are rewarded with LUSH products. The only fault I can find is that the products are highly-addictive! read more
