My Mom used to take care of all of those things so now I help when I can. I looked online & funeral flowers are crazy expensive! Hundreds of dollars! I grew up in Houston and whenever we needed flowers we went to flower row on Main Street by the medical center. So I googled "flower row" and found this store. I called, asked what they had in stock that we could pick up within the hour and the person otp gave me instructions on how to see the arrangements & prices online. They were very helpful and said they would hold the arrangement I liked for me. I sent our son to the shop with my credit card to pick up the arrangement & meet my Dad at the funeral home. The flowers were beautiful! My Dad was super happy & proud to not walk in empty handed. So thank you Scent & Violet for giving us a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day!!

When trying to give small business owners more business goes wrong...... I wish I could be giving…read morethis small business owner a great review, but I just can't. I was given her name and information from my best friend who raved about her services. So I was looking forward to giving her my business as well as the business of our company. But sadly, we just could not make things happen. I reached out to her via the number I was given (which might not have been her business number) either way, when she answered I told her who I was and how I was referred. I explained to her that I had a very simple sympathy bouquet order that I wanted to have delivered in the Houston area. She said it would not be a problem and that there was NO MINIMUM for delivery. I told her that I would gather the rest of the order details and would be calling her back shortly. Since it was close to the end of the business day, I figured I'd call her back first thing in the morning. So I called and left her a very detailed message. And I never got a callback, so I texted her and never got a reply. When I spoke to my best friend who referred me, he said he would reach out to her and ask what had happened. He then called me to inform me that she told him that she wasn't worried about working on my order since it was ONLY an $85+ order that was going to be placed and that she didn't have time to work on an order that small. WOW! Well, there goes handing her the COMPANY orders! Which just so you know, was going to be to have fresh flowers in our lobby every week and fresh flowers delivered to each employee for various awards on different occasions. This COULD have been a honey pot of business for her, but OH WELL. Perhaps I'll give the business to someone interested in WORKING all orders!

"Oh, also, it would be 'pretty cool' if you could buy each of them a bouquet of flowers and have them sent to the restaurant so that they're there when the ladies get to their table. Thanks." "I .... what??" On what is arguably THE busiest day for both florists and restaurants alike, you want me to magically pull 3 specially-delivered bouquets and a nice restaurant reservation out of my WHAT?! In desperation, I make my call to Katy Flower Market. I spoke with Darwin, who took all my information and - even though on Valentine's Day they cannot guarantee a time, and I could tell my request was far-fetched and somewhat difficult for them to do on such a busy day - had my roses delivered straight to the restaurant well before their reservation. My boss showed me a picture of the three bouquets, and the flowers were gorgeous - fresh roses that were just barely blooming, so I knew they would last longer than a day or two. I was nervous that, in placing my order so late, that the flowers would be the "leftovers," but these bunches were carefully arranged and quite lovely. In terms of pricing, it is on par with other florists in the area. They have the same styles at comparable prices. No complaints at all with the pricing. I am so impressed (an almost impossible feat with me) with the courtesy of the staff and the extra mile they went to help make my boss' last-minute idea come to fruition. I would absolutely recommend Katy Flower Market to anyone in Houston who is looking for a florist.
