Not only did she fully support our decision to do so, she went above and beyond in helping us plan a last minute elopement for 2020. We adored every vendor she suggested, and both weddings went off without a hitch. She had all emergencies covered. Forgot the flower girl baskets at the hotel with the ceremony 5 minutes out? No problem! She had extras in her car. My dog getting muddy paw prints all over my dress? Ashley had special wipes that made everything look good as new. She even had a sewing kit on hand for dress malfunctions. I can't say enough wonderful things about her services, and Ashley as a person. I would recommend her to anyone.

We could only afford to hire her as a day of coordinator, but she went above and beyond to help us through every phase. She quickly understood what our vision was for the event was and did everything in her power to make it a reality. She is decisive (when you can't be), ready with a trusted vendor recommendation (when you need it), extremely professional and has a good eye for what's hot (and what's not). She also has a wickedly good sense of humor. She is also fabulous at negotiating prices with vendors so I suggest you get that package if you can swing the cost. We couldn't, but Ashley still helped us get a good price with certain vendors and even came to my dress fitting although I'd already used up the consultations included in my package. In response to the other reviewer: it may take her a little while to respond to emails because she has other clients with weddings taking place before yours. But she always got back to us in less than 48 hours with very detailed responses and her response time was even faster--mere hours--during the last month of the planning. I cannot imagine what the planning would have been without such wealth of information just an email away. Unlike some other planners I've heard stories about, Ashley worked behind the scenes on our wedding day to make everything ran smoothly and only came to us with questions when it was absolutely necessary. You have no idea how important this is. We got to spend time with our family, friends and each other instead of worrying about the small stuff. As a result, the entire event was a success and everyone is still raving that it was the most fun and beautiful wedding they have ever been to. We had a blast too! We would absolutely hire her again without any hesitation and enthusiastically recommend her. She is the best of the best!

It's kind of a misleading name because Wendy and Amber met with us a couple times before the wedding weekend, and were always available via phone or text for questions. They scheduled out everything and made sure we had everything we needed. Wendy ran the rehearsal the day before and gave very clear directions and assured everyone knew where they were supposed to be, at what time. On the day of the wedding, Amber and Alyssa were the backbone of it all!! Instead of me running around, dealing with vendors, directing the wedding party, helping the guys with their boutonnières and bustling my daughter's wedding dress.. they did it all!! They were amazing! Always easy to find and no hesitation to help us solve any problems. The wedding was held at our house, so there were multiple locations on our property where things were happening, but they were like ninjas and always seemed to be exactly where they were needed! They even helped clean up at the end of the night and made sure all of the vendors were taken care of!! I can't recommend this service enough!! Thank you Wendy, Amber, and Alyssa!!

After our first meeting, I had a huge weight off my shoulders knowing we had a plan and things were already set in place. The setting up of the graduation party was very easy and not stressful at all. Because of Wendy and Wendy's Wedding & Events we were able to sit back, relax and enjoy the graduation party ourselves. Wendy was there the whole time to make sure everything went smoothly. Thank you Wendy for making it where Richard and I could relax, enjoy and most of all, this was a day Victoria will never forget. Warning to Future Brides…read more I intentionally waited a month after our wedding before writing this review because I wanted to separate my emotions from the facts and give the venue the opportunity to respond to my concerns privately before posting publicly. Our wedding was on June 9, 2026. We chose Lillian Gardens because the property is absolutely beautiful, and I spent months planning every detail of our wedding. While our overall wedding investment was significantly more than this, we spent nearly $15,000 with Lillian Gardens alone for the venue, catering, coordination, and related services. Based on that investment, we expected a much higher level of professionalism, organization, and execution than we received. The planning issues began months before the wedding. In January, I specifically requested a list of the venue's rental items and available services so I could determine what I should rent through the venue versus what I needed to purchase or create myself. I did not receive that information until the end of April, after many purchases and decisions had already been made. Had I received that information when requested, I would have gladly paid the venue for additional rentals and services instead of spending months DIYing so much of our wedding. On the wedding day, our coordinator was not prepared when vendors arrived, and I found myself answering questions and helping direct logistics instead of simply being the bride. Throughout the planning process, I had been assured she had many years of experience coordinating weddings, but unfortunately that was not reflected in our experience. After months of planning our décor, I was informed on the wedding morning that our candles did not meet venue requirements. This had never been communicated during planning despite discussions about our décor. A last-minute exception was eventually granted, but only after unnecessary stress had already been added to the day. After everyone was dressed and preparing for the ceremony, the bridal party asked for water. We were initially told there was no drinking water available. While someone from our family prepared to leave the venue to purchase water, it was suddenly "found" after we had already spent considerable time trying to solve a problem that should never have existed. Weather became another unnecessary source of stress. We were repeatedly pressured to make an early decision about moving the ceremony indoors despite clearly communicating that we wanted to remain outside unless weather absolutely required otherwise. After we had already communicated our decision, our Maid of Honor was approached separately and asked to make the final call. The rehearsal also lacked leadership and direction. My father ultimately stepped in and led much of the rehearsal because we were not receiving the guidance we expected from our coordinator. The reception is where the experience became most disappointing. Cocktail hour appetizers ran out early, and some guests only received one appetizer despite us paying for two per guest. We also purchased sangria for cocktail hour. Multiple guests commented that it appeared to contain little or no alcohol, which was extremely disappointing considering it was purchased as an alcoholic beverage service. Dinner service started approximately an hour behind schedule because the kitchen was not ready. That delay affected the entire evening. Guests began leaving before many of the reception events even occurred. Guests also began clearing dishes from their own tables because service had fallen behind. Our reception timeline fell so far behind that my husband spent part of our own wedding reception helping clean up so we could meet the venue's required exit time. That is not how any bride or groom should spend their wedding reception. To make matters worse, our DJ experienced repeated technical failures during the reception, including our first dance. While I understand those issues were not the venue's responsibility, the already delayed timeline meant there was very little opportunity to recover. By the time the reception was functioning again, many of our guests had already left. Several professional vendors independently expressed concerns to us about the level of coordination they experienced throughout the day and encouraged us to speak directly with the venue owner regarding what had occurred. Rather than immediately posting a public review, I contacted the venue owner privately and gave the venue an opportunity to investigate and respond. The owner acknowledged communication and coordination failures, apologized, and stated that improvements would be made to internal processes. A refund of our $312 Bridal Suite Mimosa Bar was offered; however, as of writing this review, I have not yet received that refund. Our concerns are not based on one isolated issue. They stem from repeated problems throughout both the planning process and the wedding day that, taken together, significa

Ashley and Crystal were pleasant and easy to work with -- they coordinated the music, cake, and toasts per our requests; made some accommodations for changes like bringing in our own pastor; and even boxed everything up nicely for us at the end to make packing up a breeze. There were a million things that happened on our wedding day that seemed like magic - we didn't have to stress over one single thing and were able to enjoy our time with family and friends completely, which is so rare for a wedding. (As an example, one of the bridesmaids had a dress malfunction, which was magically handled by the team without us knowing anything about it). Jacin also had an extremely useful amount of experience in her business, so that she was able to access resources that fit both our vision and budget perfectly, without feeling like we needed to compromise on any aspect of our special day. We had less time to plan everything, about 3-4 months total, but that didn't faze Jacin. We never felt rushed through decisions or anxious about having too little time. True professionals. We highly recommend Jacin and her team, and feel so blessed to have had them with us on the most important day of our lives.

She has such a calming presence and was the only planner who really wanted to know what I wanted for my day. It caught me off guard that she wasn't just selling me on her services the whole time like most planners but she genuinely listened. Jacin's ability to empathize and visualize exactly what I was dreaming of was truly a gift. She is not just a planner; she is a talented designer and I can't even go in to the countless personal touches she thought of that perfectly reflected us, as well as our family and friends. Everything was running perfectly and our dream was about to become a reality and then COVID hit. The shutdowns started two weeks before our big day so we obviously had to cancel our wedding. In typical Jacin fashion, she never missed a beat. By the following day, she managed to rebook every vendor and our same venue only four months after our initial date. An impossible feat for a venue that is booked a year in advance! Even up until the last couple of weeks we weren't sure our wedding could be held because COVID cases were going up again. We agonized over it but Jacin continually reassured us and never made us feel bad for having the wedding, even though I'm sure she was uneasy too. It's not easy to understand the turmoil until you have been there, but we could not have gotten through it without Jacin. She thought of so many clever ideas for a COVID-friendly wedding such as colored wrist bands to distinguish guest's comfort level, monogrammed face masks, sanitizing the entire ballroom, etc. and was so patient in answering our guests emails and safety related questions. Jacin made me feel so calm on my wedding day and I never had to worry about a single thing. It was truly the most relaxing, enjoyable, amazing fairytale weekend and our guests felt so loved and taken care of. Also, her team is amazing!! They are all industry pros; most are planners themselves, so no detail was missed. Under the circumstances it was such a perfect escape from the world and we will always be so very grateful to Jacin and her team for really going way above and beyond to make our wedding weekend so perfect. BOOK JACIN! You will not regret it!!!

My husband and I found Thorne and Thistle after touring our venue. Lisa had great reviews and…read moresounded like a wedding planning pro. However, we were very disappointed in her services. She created stress and didn't deliver on items in the contract. After looking further, she has zero reviews from anytime in 2021 and 2022, yet she has weddings almost every weekend. If you are planning to hire for your wedding, PLEASE reconsider and read this review. We hired Lisa for partial planning and flowers / decor. That includes help booking, managing, coordinating with three vendors (lights, venue, photographer) and creating and delivering a timeline. Lisa did none of these things. I created a wedding timeline for each of my vendors and coordinated arrival time. Lisa told us many times she would make her own master timeline and would provide to each vendor as well as our bridesmaids and groomsmen. Lisa failed to deliver and instead printed out the timeline that I made and gave them to me.. The months and days leading up to the wedding, Lisa was unresponsive, sometimes taking multiple days and weeks to respond- stating she was busy with other weddings. Two weeks prior to our wedding, we had not heard from Lisa in weeks and did not receive confirmation that she even placed our flower order. We even started looking at other flower options as we couldn't get a hold of her and thought she disappeared from providing any services. This is completely unprofessional and caused a lot of anxiety. The Friday evening event, Lisa forgot our table seating chart at home and drove back to pick it up, missing our rehearsal so my sisters and I needed to run that on our own. When she did arrive, Lisa threw the signs on the floor and didn't pick up the decor and items for the wedding day that we left for her. During the event, the dance floor was not set up for the number of guests, the ceremony seating was not as we wanted, and the heaters we ordered from the light vendor were never turned on. Lisa, as the person overseeing and managing these vendors, should have been aware and made sure they were fixed. Instead, my father came to the Bibb Mill to review and manage the vendors on my wedding day. Lisa also lost our guest books and her assistant was asking me about them in the hour before the event started. Somehow they were not picked up from the hotel with the other items even though I sent Lisa a photo with a detailed list of all the items so that she could check to make sure she had everything. One of our main flower arrangements was our four sided bar. Lisa was planning to create a large installation up the pole in the middle. There were barely any flowers on the pole. We expected something like what we saw on her instagram photos, but what we got was underwhelming to say the least. Lisa used small vases and tiny bouquets for large 10 person tables. The tall arrangements were so bare that you could see the green foam where the flowers were in. Lisa said she had these mirrored vases I loved for decor and a fabric to decorate the chairs of the head table, but the week before the wedding said she actually didn't have those items anymore. She said she would handle our seating chart, but then handed it off to us. She said she and her assistant would absolutely help with delivering welcome bags, yet Friday they were no where to be found and my dad and I ran around for hours doing it on our own. She created more work for us and consistently over promised and under delivered. She never said hi or congratulations to me (the bride) who she worked with for almost 2 years leading up to the wedding. She was unprepared, overbooked, and understaffed. The lack of planning and coordination services, understaffed team during the wedding day, unnecessary amounts of stress due to disorganization and lack of communication, and the missing flower arrangements that should have been included based on our contract were all major disappointments.

Fast forward to months later, it was time for my big sisters wedding. When considering florists, my first thoughts were Lisa. My sister immediately decided to have Lisa do her flowers after seeing some of her pictures, and talking with her for just a short period of time. Lisa did all of the flowers for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, and I don't even have words to describe how beautiful they were. We received the most compliments on how stunning her arrangements were! From the table arrangements, to the bouquets, to the chandeliers, to the cross, swing, and aisle markers, and more, Lisa did an unbelievable job. My sister was extremely pleased with everything Lisa did, and Lisa's style. Lisa made sure to get all of the details from Lauren in regards to what she wanted, and she gave Lauren exactly that, and then some. We also really appreciated that Lisa would give her input if she had any ideas in particular that she thought would look good. After my sisters wedding, we had many many people ask us for Lisa's contact info so that they could use her as well. I would most definitely recommend using Lisa Thorne (Thorne and Thistle) for all of your flower needs. In addition, we learned that Lisa also offers wedding planning. When we reached out to her about flowers, we had already chosen a wedding planner, however I can confidently say I would recommend Lisa for wedding planning as well. She helped us with many different aspects of wedding planning when we couldn't get answers from our wedding planner, and often offered advice when we asked for her opinion etc. Lisa is truly a kind hearted, genuine, and extremely talented person! I would recommend her services to anyone and everyone.
