When it was time to put down our 19 year old fur baby Snickers I knew we had to find a place that would come to our house since he would have anxiety at the vet's office and I didn't want that for him. I asked for recommendations from my vet and this was one of the places suggested. Checked out the website to be prepared and they sounded like the perfect fit. Even before the day that Sara and Craig came, they were always so caring through all interaction on the phone or through text. By the time they came, the whole experience was everything I had hoped for and more. They were very nice and soft spoken and explained everything to me and my whole family throughout the whole process. For something so difficult, I don't think anyone else could have made the process any easier. They understood the pain we were going through and tried to help in any way by giving us time to grieve, telling us how to have our other dog say goodbye ( this is our first family dog we have lost) and taking care of our baby with great care when leaving. I know it costs more to have someone come over to our house but I would try to do that always in the future if possible. We all were there to say goodbye in the place where he was most comfortable. It's only been a week so still painful but we all are so happy we found Sara and Craig to help us through this difficult process. I always knew when it was time to put our terrier to sleep that I wanted Sara to be the one to aid in that process. She was absolutely wonderful, kind, gentle, warm and loving. We put our sweet 16-year-old Oliver to sleep today and it was such a beautiful and peaceful goodbye. I'm so grateful for the experience we had. I've done in clinic euthanasia before with previous dogs, and it's traumatic and stressful and never felt quite right....I am thankful that the timing lined up this time. My only recommendation would be to make a consultation call/get on the schedule as soon as the thought enters your mind. You don't want your pet to suffer longer than they need to. And if you're having a hard time deciding if it's the right time or not, I would recommend checking out the video link on their website. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude towards Dr. Sara and Craig during an extremely difficult time. Their prompt attention, thoughtfulness, compassion and grace made one of the hardest days a little bit easier. My elderly dog Kona had a stroke early on a Monday morning. We made the difficult decision it was time since he could not walk easily without assistance. The most important thing for me was to make sure it was as comfortable and peaceful as possible, without the distress of the vet office. I contacted Dr. Sara and team, and heard back within 30 minutes that there was an opening the following day. This gave me time to spoil my boy for another day without prolonging his pain too much. The day of, I was confused and anxious that I mixed the days up somehow, but Craig responded promptly to confirm my texts and reassure me. Dr Sara called me a few hours or so before the appointment to go over what to expect and answer any questions. I knew we made the right decision but she was so compassionate and reassuring it helped me process. My sweet boy was most comfortable on the sofa, so we laid down some plastic and then a big soft blanket he could lay on. At the time of the appointment, Dr. Sara and Craig were very sweet and explained again to family present what to expect. The whole process was painful, but so gentle and peaceful. Kona ate some tasty turkey to his heart's content, until the painkiller lulled him to the deepest peaceful sleep he has had for awhile. Dr. Sara e sured he was surrounded by all of us that loved him and we all were able to say goodbye. The process seemed like 10 or 15 minutes from the painkiller to him passing, and the entire appointment was only 40 minutes or so from them arriving to leaving with my sweet boy. After he passed, we were given some lovely daffodil bulbs and trinkets to select from to remember him by. I elected for private cremation, and his remains were sent within a week or so. Everything was prompt and professional, with lots of compassion and understanding. Dr. Sara and Craig helped us so much when it came to getting our ancient Chihuahua, Belle, across the proverbial Rainbow Bridge. The online questionnaire and communication with Craig gave them all the info they needed to schedule Dr. Sara's visit to our house with the appropriate pre-procedure meds already on board, and the appropriate medications and materials she needed to take care of the task. The kindness and gentleness of this team can't be overstated. They handle both the pet and the humans with care, concern, and support. Every step of the way is guided. Our precious Belle never acted afraid or in pain. The IV meds were not even given until she was asleep with a subcutaneous sedative injection given while she was lapping up "pub cheese" . She never flinched. The smallest details added so much to help with what otherwise could be a very traumatic and sad experience. She left us with some flower seeds to plant in memory of Belle, as well as a couple tiny charms as a remembrance. There was also a sympathy card and a follow up phone call from Craig the day after. We appreciate that there are options for taking care of the remains that are spelled out prior to the visit. We were left feeling like our little family member was still in respectful hands even after her life was gone. Passing with dignity has no dignity in their customer service. I sent a request asking if they serviced our area and was told that they do but there MIGHT be an additional service fee. They asked me to text them and answer 18 questions via text. They were not willing to speak a via telephone. I sent all of the information and then was asked about cremation. I reminded them that we were unsure of how all this worked and that we did not need any extras. They then referred us elsewhere. I expressed my confusion and said that I was simply trying to get pricing. They said this is more than pricing and maybe this other place can help you. I expressed that it was horrible service to have me send all of that information and not give me pricing. I expressed that I didn't understand why I was being referred elsewhere. They then referred me back to their website and said I could find their pricing on their website, yet there was no mention of a service fee for our area on their website. Overall when families are going through this difficult time we should not be treated like this. I expressed that the service I had received was horrible and they replied with hearts.
