How did I not know about Adamstown, PA?! The self-proclaimed "Antiques Capital USA,' stretches…read morealong route 272 for about seven miles. My favorite stop was the Adamstown Antique Mall. Contrary to reviews, I found the shop's personnel to be friendly and accommodating. Prices -- set by individual booth-owners -- are sometimes better than competitive. Likely due to their semi-rural location, merchandise is different - more interesting - than the urban antique malls I'm familiar with. I have a number of collections. Since I've downsized, I don't actively look to buy. BUT, if I find a deal, I take it. See the Roseville pottery I posted? The piece is pretty big, in perfect condition. I paid $44, including tax. (Elsewhere it would go for well over $100.) The last full week of most months, dealers throughout town host "Extravaganzas" with deals galore ... or so they say! I'll let you know, when I return in the spring.
