This Liquor Store is under new ownership and every time I walk out of there I'm so glad to have it back. I can relate to the previous one star comments, the old owner/ or two that worked there were horribly rude. It would keep me from going as often as I actually wanted to. I've only had a positive experience every time I've been in since the new ownership and I appreciate it more than they know. They greet you, they're personable, and are what one would want a local liquor store to be. It's now inviting and leave no hesitations when wanting to run in for something. read more

Buyers Beware! They sell fake Items. Counterfeit items sold throughout the store. made the mistake of buying a Foger here. They sold me a fake one and I had to wait to speak with the owner, the owner refused to exchange/ refund. Never going back to this establishment. Absolute Garbage customer service. yelp is aware, the two stars is more like .1 star though. read more

How do you not step into this place? At least once while you're visiting Dana point. This is a landmark liquor store and they are always friendly and have unique products that you cannot get other places. read more

The only reason they stay in business is cause they're open late. Rude workers. If it's not too late, go somewhere else for liquor in the area. read more

The owner is rude and does not care if you ever come back. He buys bad products for cheap and sells them at full price. He declares all sales are final even for products that are expired or damaged upon purchase. PartyTimeLiquors does not deserve to be in business. AVOID THIS PLACE read more

In had a great experience here last night. I was looking for something that was released in limited amounts. The distillery website said they were sold it. I called, they had it. I stopped in that evening and he had it sitting on the counter waiting for me. Friendly and easy. read more

My favorite neighborhood liquor store. Staff is always friendly and always a good selection of craft beer/hard seltzer and booch. And good selection of nicotine pens. read more

Party Time Liquor - Awesome brand and flavor - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Dana Point, California

So rude! I cannot believe the way the man behind the counter spoke to customers (including myself). I cannot believe they are even open. The person in front of me didn't understand what he was saying and he got in her face and waved his hand and say good-bye. So rude! read more

where's the 0 when you need it? It's hard to believe this spot is in business with the current owners because they are, just as many other reviewers said, extremely rude to patrons for literally zero reason. None other than To be straight up grouches. I came in as a rep and was immediately disrespected even after being completely kind and friendly toward two similar looking men who seemed to be the owners. I mean the attitude toward me was astonishing. People like this really don't have a good reason to be in business, talking down to people. Treating fellow humans in the manner I was is inexcusable. Out of principle, I'd encourage you to take your business elsewhere. It's like something crawled up their you know what and died a hundred times over. Leading a life this way, taking your mood swings out on everyone, sad. Should call it Grumpy Time Liquor guys! read more

Owner definitely is an asshole. Beer selection is really good, but the prices are absolutely ridiculous. If someone has a gun to your head and you can't go to the BevMo across the street, I guess you should come here and pay double for a 4 pack of craft beer. read more

Rude owner. Sells expired beer, broken e cigs and charges a 40 cent fee. Crappy spot, avoid like plague

I don't know what it may be but this guy is a creep. I was on the phone with my friend and she heard him say things to me that she couldn't believe!! He got mad at me cuz I asked by for a paper bag then said I was rude to be on the phone!! Today was bad cuz my friend heard him. He started to ask people if it was rude I was on the phone. Who cares?? I picked my wine and was ready to go! Korean guy I think. I live down the street from thris place and every now and then I go over to get wine. He gets mad at me for getting wine!! I don't give him the time of the day. I won't be going back!! Too much abuse! When I pay every time! He is also a very rude man!!! It took a while for him to say hi to me! Very rude! read more

They don't take federal ID. Asian owner is extremely rude and not understanding. Would recommend you to go anywhere else, including the BEVMO right across the street read more

Wow I just had to leave a new review because I went back after a terrible first experience being humiliated by an older man (I'm a young woman) and now the second time he told me I'm too fat for my ID weight and won't sell to me because of it and I have never been so offended by a clerk. If you're reading this you are a bad bad man goodbye and good luck with this atrocity of a person. read more

This place has the worst vibe ever. The two guys running this place are the rudest individuals I ever met. They sell old expired products. Over charge for just about everything, could care less about customer service, charge .40 cents for using your card and are just plane a-holes. Stay away at all costs. read more

Jacob the owner is simply the most arrogant and rude person in Dana Point. A real bummer in a great community like Dana... I have shopped here plenty of times and he always treats me like someone wasting his time. He makes his customers feel like they need permission to shop in his place... Not only me, but everyone (except pretty girls) that shop in his store say the same. He is a neighborhood atrocity and it is VERY worth going to the BevMo or Ralphs across the PCH. They're much cheaper, and provide superior service. read more

Great local liquor store. Wine prices are cheaper than Ralph's. Jacob knows a lot about their beer and wine. He'll give you a hard time if your an idiot, otherwise, you'll have no problems here. read more

Glad to see I'm not the only one who had to deal with the owner. He is a complete dick. I tried buying 2 powerball and 2 mega million tickets. Only after he printed them out did he tell me that I can only pay cash. (Every place around here let's me buy them with card) the total was $8. I told him I didn't plan on paying in cash and only had $7 on me. He then proceeded just to stare at me as if I could pull money out of thin air. He cussed at me under his breath.. loudly. I tried to be agreeable so I told him I still could afford 1 of the 2 tickets. I paid and he didn't even offer me my change. Never going back here again. Hope they shut down... also his alcohol prices are shit just like him. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. I work across the street and I go there to get soda and chips during lunch or after work and the owner is probably the rudest person I've ever met. He has the worst attitude, he rolls his eyes when he talks to you. He is snappy as hell. Won't be going back there ever again. I'd rather drive further away to avoid his straight rude ass demeanor. read more

How can this little place get any less than 5 stars. It opened in 1978. Great competitive prices and nice choice of wine. It's been remodeled and looks black and turquoise now. read more

Horrible experience. Bought a puff bar and right after i left i realized it was leaking after i took it out of the box and it wouldn't hit. Went back to get a refund and the asian man was very rude and did not want to give me my $12 back which was literally stolen. Don't go here. That man needs to learn how to run a business. read more

The guy that's normally there is super unfriendly. Only reason I go there is because it's on my way home every day.

Never turn in a scratcher ticket there.... I won just a few bucks there... I gave the guy my 2 tickets, he just took them from me and didn't give me my money because I didn't scratch a certain area. I asked him to give it back but just shook his head. Used to go there all the time and thought they were nice but they're just greedy. Plus I find out later that part I didn't scratch was the second chance win area so he can go online to try to win more money. Jerks. read more

It's so so as far as bodegas go. In a pinch I found some dusty bottles of wine with little neon price stickers on them which I probably could have found in your average Ralph's grocery store for cheaper. If you're looking for liquor and some smokes I could see this quick in-and-out joint being a godsend. Otherwise, it's pretty ghetto. read more

I wish I could give it no stars but I had to share my scariest experience at a liquor store and I've been in one that was being held up. I walked in to buy Margaritas and discovered my mask was missing a loop so I held it over my mouth but the guy at the counter who may have been the owner told me to get out. I stepped outside and fixed my mask went back in got the Margaritas and picked up a few candy bars. I wasn't mad or anything- I know people want to be safe and all but I felt a totally negative vibe. He just seemed so angry. When I got to the counter to pay I realized I had left my card in the car but had a $20. That might cover the Margaritas but his prices are pretty high so I asked him to ring the Margaritas up first to see if there was want more room left. I know he heard me but started to ring up the candy first I asked him to stop - he was so irritated. I thought maybe there was a language barrier issue as he never spoke. I told him again and just looked angry and confused and put my stuff behind the counter and tod me to get out. Reminded me of the soup nazi. I mumbled to myself what an asshole and he yelled out " YOU F__KING BITCH, YOU F__KING CU_T. Yes he called me the "C" word and there was no language issue.I don't know what set him off but he grabbed grabbed something off the self and I started running because I thought he might throw it at me. If you must go in there try not to talk to him as he might go crazy on you. There are way to many more convenient liquor stores in Dana Point with friendly clerks. AVOID this place as your life might depend in it! I feel that if I had been more of a smart Alec that bottle or what ever it was he grabbed would have ended up on the back side of my head. If he is the owner he should have bought a business that requires way less customer interface - I can see by previous reviews that I am not his first victim. Maybe he's angry because business has been slow because of Covid. Maybe he's angry because of all Asian hate right now which I can sympathize - it's a horrible situation. Maybe he's angry because he has a small penis. Who knows. It is just a place a will never return to. Cheers! read more

Party Time Liquor..... I just love the name of this place. If you are camping at Doheny State Beach, this is the place to go buy liquor and firewood. read more

Party time nothing!! Ppl who works there which by the way seems to me is the same guy is miserable, rude, & impolite. Usually asians are very polite not this one... He probably lives there no days off.. that's why he's the opposite of the name of his business Sour time! read more

I visited Party time liquor yesterday to buy bait and go fishing, when I went to purchase the bait I was asked if I wanted bag, I said no thank you, i held the bag in my hand so I did not set it on the counter out of respect, and I said unless you give small free bags (especially for bait) then I will take one, that's when everything when wrong, the man screamed at me saying he telles me no free bags I have to tell you every time you come in, no F%$# ING FREE BAGS! SCREAMING AT ME, I said I haven't been in this store for about a year, He took my bait threw it on the ground and said DONT COME BACK FOR ANOTHER YEAR! I was so scared I thought he was going to hit me. I immediately left the store and reported his actions to my husband. I was very shaken up by this man and I think he is the owner. There was no reason for his actions I simply showed respect and he lost control 630 PM Thursday 6/27/19 read more

I been stopping there occasionally in my 25 years plus as a resident of Dana Point. Last night I stopped there for a few items real quick, the shop owner ( I think he was ) seemed out of it... when I pulled my card to pay he said in a strange tone " I am charging you 40 cents for the use of the card " ... I said ok, then I asked " why ?" he rudely tried to make a comparison between Las Vegas and his shop... I said it's ok man... Then he said you do not have to shop here if you do not like it. And come to think of it, you are right Mr. Angry ! I will not shop there, I will write this review and make sure everyone knows about how lame you are, and personally you will NOT ever see me there. You are rude and obnoxious and you can have your silly shop. I am a huge fan of mom and pop shops and I will buy there even if it costs more money, but I hope they kick you out of the neighborhood for being so rude. read more
