Everyone signed waivers for liability purposes. When it started to rain, their boat was equipped with overhead covers to help shield us from the rain. The rain didn't last long thankfully! Captain Rick and Co-Captain Julia were extremely professional and informative of safety precautions. They also come equipped with snacks and drinks too - but you're encouraged to bring your own. This company also has jet skis you can rent. I had my first ride on a jet ski with Jamal and it was exhilarating! We made a couple stops at sand bars and played in the water! The 4 hours definitely flew by from all the fun we were having. If you're looking for a great turn up or a chill relaxing boat ride, Wave Kings is where it's at!

The bigger portion of the boat was upstairs where it could fit more people. However the indoors downstairs did have ac and a few seats. Only were seats around the bar upstairs. The ride took 3hrs, on a beautiful day it's an epic trip. It was hot but no rain to ruin it so it worked out perfectly. They had a dj onboard, don't know if he is part of the yacht crew or if he was hired by our social group. In any case he was awesome.

Incredibly disappointed with my experience trying to plan a wedding here…read more They recently changed their policy to allow only one exclusive caterer unless you are willing to pay the exorbitant $500 outsourcing fee. I was a bit apprehensive about this to begin with, but I was reassured that this caterer (Bouk) was the best, both in terms of food and customer service. I wish I could say the food was good, but in two months I was never even able to schedule a tasting with them. The communication was poor and it seemed like the only time I heard from the caterer with any concrete information was after I brought my complaints to the citizen's center. I put my complaints in writing and forwarded them to the center and when I asked if we could rearrange the reservation so that we could still have our ceremony in the garden and have our reception elsewhere (so that I didn't have to cancel the whole thing), I was basically gently encouraged to cancel and "move forward with a different option." Essentially I was being told that everyone (including the supervisor) thought it would be best for me not to have any part of my wedding at the Mack Center. I couldn't believe how unwelcoming that felt. It appears that the caterer's busy schedule took precendnt over a satisfied customer...a bride-to-be no less. Although they basically gave me no options on how to resolve the situation outside of cancelling, they still processed the cancellation with the 50% rent fee. Although I realize this is the contact I signed and their standard policy, they didn't even apologize. No effort made to help. Honestly, I'm sure the Mack Center would have been a great venue. The staff was great...at the beginning. But since they have changed their policy it seems like they may be willing to jeopardize their reputation with customers to preserve their new relationship with Bouk catering. There are a lot of other wonderful venues in the Charlotte and Lake Norman areas that are affordable and give you options for catering...that way, if you don't have a good experience with one, you are not blacklisted from the venue all together.

It was quiet and peaceful which is just what we wanted. Free kayak, paddle board and canoes to enjoy and pontoon boat rental on site. The property is set up with three tiers with angled parking for optimal views of the water. It seemed a little tight for maneuvering but thankfully we are only 25' long so we didn't have too much trouble. I probably would have given 5 stars except the WiFi was horrible at best. At least it was for us. There is a new Publix grocery store approximately 2 miles up the road, which I give 5 stars.
