No one seemed annoyed at all if you had any questions even though they were so busy on a Saturday morning! This place has the WORST customer service! I rented a helium canister from them for my sister's bridal shower last month and paid extra for the large one that I was told should fill around 72 balloons. The woman who gave me the canister in the store brought out an old, very rusted one and told me that I looked like a "nice person" and she wouldn't want to have to charge me extra if the attachment nozzle on the canister breaks if I transport the canister with the nozzle on and it falls over in my car! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! That was a very condescending tone and all she had to do was say "Please be aware that the nozzle is fragile and will break if you leave it on the canister and drive with it or if it falls over. We do charge a fee for a broken nozzle." So, the first problem is that this company made me write my debit card number on a piece of paper and they kept it in their store until I returned it on the Monday before giving it back to me. As anyone knows, companies are not allowed to retain credit/debit card numbers! So my credit card information was laying around in the store for 3 days! Who knows who had access to it in the store? Then she proceeded to "test" the canister with a display and explained how the apparatus works. The moment she unscrewed the valve, the helium erupted from the nozzle so loudly I was startled. It sounded like it was going explode! She quickly shut off the valve and said "Let me get you another nozzle." She attached the new one and tested it for a few seconds and it appeared to work. I was concerned about my debit card information and by the sound of that canister, but I had prepaid for the thing so I took it anyway. On the day of the event, I attempted to use the rusty canister, which, incidentally got rust all over my clothes, but instead of being able to fill the 60 balloons I had purchased, it once again sounded like it did in the store - with a shockingly loud, eardrum-splitting noise and it began leaking helium into the apartment with my husband, mother and baby there. I had to take my baby into a bedroom and close the door because the noise was so loud and because of the helium leak! I believe that the thread on the canister was likely stripped from use over time and they had rented me out a faulty one. Eventually, I had to wrap some uninflated balloons around the area where the nozzle attaches to the canister, and I managed to fill about 32 small balloons before the helium ran out. Not to mention the rust all over my hands and the balloons that had to be constantly washed/wiped off! This was a massively time consuming process, and as guests were arriving soon we didn't have time to call the store or go in to change out the canister. I also didn't have time to attach ribbons to the balloons, so I had to leave them where they were. This really ruined the look I was going for with the party and caused me embarrassment as I had to explain to our guests what the problem was. When I returned the canister (which I had to put in a plastic garbage bag to prevent the rust from destroying the carpeting in my trunk!) the next morning the same associate was there and I told her that it was a faulty canister and that I could only inflate about 32 balloons when I paid extra for the large canister which should have given me at least enough helium for 70+ balloons! She clearly was not bothered and just said "Oh, I'm sorry." She was not remotely interested in dealing with my complaint and looked like she just wanted me to leave the store. So my complaint went nowhere - I wasn't offered a partial refund or a discount or coupon or anything even though this ruined the look of my party and caused me embarrassment in front of our guests and got rust on my clothes. Next time I need balloons I'll go to Party City and buy a new, disposable canister rather than trusting this place that rents out old, rusty equipment that doesn't work then charges you full price for it! This store I was thinking how it was still a store, with Corona happening, but then saw they had more than just stuff for parties, and fun. They do have a good assortment of costumes, and definitely a lot of balloons, and noisemakers and lots of fun stuff. They do also have now a lot of stuff, for the holidays, that you can give to your friends. Definitely look out for those Santa gifts. Staff is friendly, but it's hard to tell who works there, as the staff don't wear name tags, or business shirts. This is a fun store to check out, and even buy a few things. read more

HI ALL. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CONSIDER PURCHASING A BALLOON ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT: I placed rather large order for my sons birthday party, exceeding $200. I received a phone call prior to the day of my party from the owner/management explaining that he had overbooked himself (which he charged $60 for delivery) and asked if he could deliver my balloons the day before my party. I accepted his request because he promised my balloons would hold up overnight and throughout the next day. Low and behold the following day I take my arrangements outside to decorate and one by one each balloon popped. Horrified by this I immediately called panicked because my party was beginning IN ONE HOUR. I called to explain that despite his promise everything fell apart. The absolute worst part of this situation eas when I contacted The owner he wanted me to "send him pictures of the balloons" he took zero responsibility for his products failing and blaming the "outdoor temperature" for the default despite his promise they would make it to the next day. This has always been my go to spot for balloons in the area, but recently I had a terrible experience there. The parking on knickerbocker is terrible and my 11 yo daughter went in to get balloons for her cousin while I was double parked outside. Next thing I know, she calls me that she's at McDonalds down the street getting food for one of the workers daughter from the shop. The person that was making balloons for my daughter asked her to go and get her daughter food!! I'm sorry but this is completely unacceptable. Granted, that my daughter should have said no, but the audacity to ask a child to run an errand for you because you think she's alone. When I went into the shop with my daughter, this worker was really nervous, because like I said, she thought that Alexis was by herself and when I tried to have a conversation with her about it she kept interrupting me and asking if I wanted the balloons in a bag. read more

Worst Customer Service Ever - would never go back. Placed an order via online shop but I also live in NJ. After 1 week of not receiving my goods- had to call the office 5x just to find out that the order was tracked and out for delivery. After 3 more days, the owner promised to call me after calling the P.O. NEVER got a call back. I sent him an email and got a reply that the PO had lost my package "and that wasn't their fault".
